Liverpool FC held its final training session on Tuesday ahead of their opening 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.
Footage captured at Liverpool's AXA Training Centre shows players passing and dribbling, jogging through hurdle frames, and taking part in strength exercises as coach Arne Slot oversees the session.
Liverpool begin the 2025-2026 Champions League as the 2024-2025 Premier League winners, having started their season with four consecutive victories. They aim to improve on the last one, when they were knocked out in the round of 16 by Paris Saint-Germain.
Atletico Madrid, who finished third in La Liga behind Barcelona and Real Madrid, have reached three Champions League finals but never lifted the trophy, a record they seek to change this season.
The clubs last met at Anfield on 3 November 2021, when Liverpool earned a 2-0 victory through early goals from Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane, with Atletico's Felipe sent off in the first half.
The match is scheduled to take place at Anfield on Wednesday evening.
