China: Country urges U.S. and Japan to withdraw Typhoon missile system

China urges the United States and Japan to withdraw the Typhoon missile system deployed in Japan as soon as possible, as the installation of this weapon system poses a substantial threat to regional strategic security. Despite China’s concerns, both nations insisted on deploying the missile system in the neighbouring country, claiming it was for joint exercises and training. The deployment of the missile system by the U.S. in an Asian nation harms security and increases risk of an arms race and military confrontation in the region. In this regard, the Chinese spokesperson, Lin Jian, argued that the United States and Japan must respect the security concerns of other countries, respond to the requests of countries in the region, and correct their erroneous practices.
