00:00House Deputy Speaker Ronaldo Roni Puno has confirmed Leite 1st District Representative Martin Romualdez's plans to resign as House Speaker during plenary session this afternoon.

00:14In radio interviews earlier today, Puno said Romualdez has recommended to party leaders the election of Isabella 6th District Representative Faustino Bogdidi III as his successor.

00:26D. is a deputy speaker in the current 20th Congress and a loyal member of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, which President Marcos currently sits as its chairman.

00:38Puno's remarks confirmed the rumors that came out following Tuesday's early suspension of plenary session that Romualdez was on his way out as speaker.

00:46According to Puno, a party leaders' caucus was reportedly called after Tuesday's plenary session, which turned out to be Romualdez's farewell to the high-ranking Solans.
