00:00Hello darlings. I have some bad news. Are you ready? Here goes. I'm dead.
00:11But it's not all doom and gloom because when one perfectly proportioned door closes
00:20another one opens and that's where you come in.
00:23I'm simply fascinated by the lengths to which people will go to get what they want.
00:32I've seen my fair share of grasping, grabbing, treachery and backstabbing.
00:36Wow. And that's just in my family. So I've set my sights slightly further afield.
00:44You lucky 13 have been chosen because you have brilliant attributes.
00:49I'd love to win it, but I want to do this with integrity. If I come out with people saying,
00:57I like old Fergie, he's a nice bloke, I'm a winner.
01:01What I am is an opportunist. If I can make money out of an opportunity, I will do it.
01:08Every day I work really hard and I don't get financial gain. No one works in the NHS for the money.
01:14This is my opportunity to get rewarded.
01:22People underestimate me. They think she's glamorous, she's cute, beautiful clothes. I can use that to my advantage.
01:32You're about to play my little game. Play well and you'll end up rich.
01:36This is mental. Because each of you is in with a chance to get your hands on my generous assets.
01:42That is gorgeous.
01:46My inheritance.
01:51Now, it wouldn't be a devilishly dramatic will reading without a shocking twist.
01:57And here comes mine.
01:58I think the fair thing in life is that those who persuade others that they made the difference should get the biggest rewards.
02:08So, each time you release part of my inheritance from the estate, one of you will take it all.
02:14It's up to you to agree on who that is.
02:18When it comes to the legal bits, I'm turning things over to my executor, the fabulous Robert Rinder.
02:24Ciao for now.
02:28God, she looks good. If I look that good when I'm dead, I'll be absolutely thrilled.
02:38I'm a scaffolder. Having debts hanging over your head is like having someone stood on your chest.
02:44That's why I work seven days a week to try and pay it off. But having the opportunity to just go,
02:50done, clear. It's amazing.
02:54I was disinherited from my father's money and he's never given me a penny.
03:01We would go over for dinner and he would just randomly say,
03:04that dining chair that you're sat on right now, that would pay off your student bills.
03:07So, I think my fight for money is because of what my dad did.
03:11I'm looking around the room and thinking, who is my biggest competitor?
03:23Have I got a kind of watch? And do you know what? There isn't any I'm worried about.
03:29Good morning. Good morning.
03:38Good morning.
03:39I am the executor of the deceased, Will.
03:43The first thing I'm thinking is the executor looks absolutely fabulous in his tailored double-breasted
03:49suit. I can tell straight away he knows what he's talking about.
03:53You've all been chosen to play a game designed by the deceased in order to claim some of the
03:58inheritance. To release money from the inheritance, you must complete a series of requests together
04:04as a team. Here's the deceased's first message from beyond the grave.
04:15Hello, darlings. Brad Pitt, Kylie Minogue, Nick Faldo. What do they all have in common?
04:22If your answer is they have all been physically ejected from my annual pool party, 10 points to you.
04:28However, if your answer was they're all winemakers, then an extra gold star for you, darlings.
04:36Like them, I too have my own range of boutique wine, and darlings, it's made me richer than a vintage
04:43claret. Now, I may have expired, but luckily my wine hasn't. In fact, it's experiencing a revival,
04:52the Van Gogh effect, you might say. It's turned into a collector's item. And there, my little band of
04:59boozehounds is where you come in. To get the money for my first request, I need you to gather up the
05:07last of my stock and get it ready for sale. Steady hands, darling, because every single milliliter is
05:14worth money. Get on with it. While I'm here pushing up daisies, you get to wake up and smell the rosé.
05:22Ciao for now.
05:23Now, to complete this request, you must locate, identify, and re-bottle the remaining wine stock
05:33before it is collected. Doing so will release money from the inheritance. The red wine is stored in
05:40barrels in the estate cellar. It will need to be correctly identified. You'll need to match the
05:47example bottles to the corresponding barrels. To do this, you are free to sample the wines.
05:53The white wine is being aged in the loke. You must retrieve this and correctly mix it with the red
05:59wine in order to create the deceased's renowned blend. You have three hours to complete the task
06:06before collection. For each crate of 12 red wines successfully delivered, you will release 400 pounds
06:12from the inheritance. For each crate of 12 blended wines, you'll release 800 pounds. Later, I'll tell
06:20you how much you all earned. Then you will decide which one player contributed the most. Who has been
06:28the best team member? This will be an important decision because that person gets the cash that you
06:35all made today. Only one person gets 100% of the money, so that's got to be me, hasn't it? To clarify,
06:45be the best or at least make everyone else think that you are. As an entrepreneur, if I can convince
06:53high net worth individuals to invest in my ideas, hopefully I can convince average Joes to back me
07:02in a game like this. Players, how you carry out this request is entirely down to you. I'm starting
07:07to understand exactly what we have to do here to get the money. It's all about persuading these guys
07:12that basically you're better than the people sat next to you. Please depart to the drawing room to
07:17formulate a plan. I have literally spent 30 years bluffing my way through businesses.
07:24Why can't I bluff my way to the top on this one? There's lots to talk about.
07:32Guys, we say like if we actually have like wine knowledge. Excellent idea. So I'm here. I don't
07:38really have wine knowledge. I just enjoy drinking it. So I'm Hannah. I do have a couple of wine
07:45credentials under my belt. Okay. If possible, I'd like to stick to the sort of tasting side of things.
07:51My name is Emma. I love a glass of wine, but I don't drink it enough to taste it. If I'm honest,
07:58like if I have a bowl, it's gone. Are you trying to say you're an alcoholic?
08:05I'm Pat. I do love my Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
08:11Drinking the amounts of wine I've drunk over the years, I knew would pay off one day.
08:16I'm 75, so I'm not going in the lake. Okay. I'm James. I really do like wine. I'm not a
08:23sommelier. I've not done a course or anything, but I have visited vineyards. Good. I don't want to
08:28risk myself flapping about in water looking like a fool on day one. Can you differentiate? I can
08:34definitely differentiate. Good. Sold. He's our man. Sold. We're together. Who's the most confident at
08:41swimming? I'm pretty mad because I like cold water swimming and I look good in a wet suit.
08:48I like swimming as well. I'm easy, whatever. My name's Jesse, 19. I'm not very familiar with wine,
08:54but I can swim. I know I don't have a hand, but don't see that as me not being able to swim, okay?
08:59Being a student, what is good about it, the endurance is there after a night out, getting to
09:04deal with the hungover the day after. So anything that's physical, I'll hopefully be good at.
09:09I'm not a great wine drinker, but I don't mind getting wet. Okay. Jesse, he is just like an
09:17excitable puppy. Cool. People like that absolutely do my head in. Oh God. So I think there needs to be
09:27two groups, who's going to the cellar and who's going to the lake. Good idea. We want to get as much
09:33blended wines as we can, because that's what the money is. Yeah. I, yeah. Absolutely. Also important
09:39to notice is that we get money from just the red wine alone. Yeah. Okay, so who's going to the lake?
09:46Put your hand up and then we can be really clear about it. So four are going wine tasting,
09:51and nine are going to the lake. Okay. Go, go, go. Bye.
10:05For nine players, it's a trip to the estate's lake.
10:13I'm going to say like, if you need my attention, just shout. Oh yeah. I'm just going to scream in
10:18it. Yes. Being a gamer, I can be quite awkward socially, especially now that I haven't really
10:22been around human beings for the last three years. I'm a bad listener. I'm working on it. Oh,
10:27I'm in the digital realm 24-7. I'm better with animals and plants than I am with people right
10:33now. So that's going to be a bit of a challenge. Off to the deceased cellars. Emma, Pat, Hannah and
10:40James are in pursuit of red wine. They're about to get into freezing cold water and we're off to
10:46taste wine. There's only four of us that have gone wine tasting, but we could actually look pretty good
10:51that we're able to do half the task with just four of us and they need nine people to do the other half.
10:56Well done to us all for choosing the right way. Oh, is that the layer? Oh God.
11:02I put myself forward to be one of the swimmers. We are going to get wet, ladies. That is for sure.
11:08I'm backing myself all day long. I'm really strong. Yeah, do it. Most of the group looked like they
11:15couldn't get their feet wet without causing an issue. My feet are soaking. So I'm getting my hands on
11:21that money. Run like a gazelle. To make the most money, they'll need the white wine, essential for
11:27the more lucrative blend. But to get it, they'll have to brave the cold waters. Yeah, it's a bit of a swim.
11:36This way. Oh my God, it's here. Barrel store. For the players at the cellars,
11:40the way to identify the unspoiled red... What are we doing? ..is to taste the sample bottles.
11:47You just have to try the best wine. And then it's going to match... And then match it next door.
11:51..what's next door. That's vile. No, that's a bad one.
11:57Guys, so we've got three hours to do this. We're going to have to make this quick. You guys need to
12:00get changed ASAP. We're going to stand at the sidelines cheering yous on. Can you swim? No. No.
12:05Right. Well, I can, but... Not today. I'm just going to have to do the most on land to make the others
12:13think that I'm the leader of the group. Here comes Cam and Catherine. It's like walking through, Sue.
12:22Ah! Go on, Jessie. I'm for sure going in that lake because I'm decent at swimming. And also,
12:32it's something that other people don't want to do. Jessie! You're doing amazing!
12:38It's a good reason for me to say, look, you guys don't want to do this. I did it. Plus,
12:42if I get as many people as I can to think Jessie helped me, that's going to be better for me.
12:47Cam. Yeah? There's one which is attached to four ropes. I need your help on this.
12:52Right, give me a minute. Hey, there's a duck here. I've never actually been outdoor swimming.
12:58I don't go in the sea because I don't trust it. That's just a duck. Come on.
13:02But Jessie's straight up onto the pontoon. He's keen as mustard. Wait up.
13:06And he just gave everyone sort of boost that we all needed.
13:12Here we go. Crates. Now we're cooking on gas. Hang on.
13:16Ah, let's go! Right. I think one of my biggest challenges in life
13:22would be to overcome my disability. Growing up with a physical difference,
13:27there's a lot of people that look at you and say things. I've just kind of learned to not really
13:34give a s**t. This year has weight to it. I want to prove that no matter what group I'm in,
13:41what game I'm in, if I really want to do something, I'll be able to do it.
13:45Woo! Well done, guys. Lovely. Well done. I am really impressed with Jessie. You know,
13:52my initial thoughts on Jessie was he's got all this energy. One, two, three.
13:59But the boy is strong. Wow. Come on. Oh, my God.
14:06Go on, Matt. Jessie and Cam have already located some wine.
14:10I'm laughing. Holy s**t. Yeah! So, I just have to assert myself. They're heavy.
14:16I'm pulling up the ropes. I finally found the first bit of wine. Yeah!
14:20And then I pull up another crate of wine. I'm absolutely smashing this right now.
14:25I'm getting everyone's attention. It's only me that's finding the wine.
14:29Whilst we're waiting for these guys, I'll go in. Do you want me to come with you?
14:33OK. Guys, that looks like wine. Right. Let's have a sip. Make sure.
14:44In the cellars. Just to make sure. The task of sampling the red
14:48also requires a strong disposition. That's the water, that vial. My God.
14:53What we need to do is empty wine from these barrels that correspond to the nice tasting wine
15:01in the wine tasting room. Mmm. That good?
15:04Ah, that's pure vinegar. Oh, lovely. I wouldn't even put that on fish and chips.
15:08Oh! That's not going to be good. That's vial. Vial.
15:13You know, if the deceased drank this wine, I can see exactly why she's deceased.
15:19I'm getting really frustrated. The clock is ticking and it's just stressing me out.
15:23What, I'm going to have to drill into this? So, I just need to get down and I need to do something physical.
15:28Do you want me to do anything? I don't know. I don't want to have to vocalise that I'm a hard worker.
15:35I want people to see it. So, I'm just trying to find some red wine, even if it's by pure luck.
15:40I'm shattered. Oh, my gosh. It's got to be an easy way to do this.
15:46I think I'd rather be in a lake right now. How much time? Time!
15:52One hour gone. It's stuck on the bottom.
15:55It looks like all the lads come, Jesse, Ferg, and Matt are doing the most here.
16:01Woo! Catherine's just out for a leisurely cold water swim and Zara's just frustrating everyone.
16:08God's sake! I'm just going to sit here and mind all the balls.
16:12I want this money. I want to contribute. I want to show everyone I can be, you know, I am useful.
16:18I'm out of breath. Let's go, let's go, let's go!
16:21Leave the balls inside!
16:23Leave the balls inside!
16:24Wait! Zara! Take out the weights!
16:26Fuck no! I need someone strong to do that!
16:29I'm on the pontoon. I'm exhausted. I hear the three cheerleaders, let's just say,
16:35and they're just shouting at me.
16:37Leave the balls inside! Leave the balls inside!
16:40There's a fucking weight!
16:41Yes, Kate's out the weight!
16:42Shut it! Shut up! Shut up! I'm in a motion right now. Let me work!
16:46Shut up, please! Come into the water!
16:49Zara's being so rude. She's saying, oh, you guys are not in the water.
16:53Shut up and all of these things.
16:54Why are they placing the bottles like that?
16:56They're falling in the water!
16:58You guys said to put this on here. If it falls, it's on you!
17:01No, we should take our weights!
17:03There's a tiny hole! Shut up!
17:07Oh! Oh, my God, that whole raft is just going to sink.
17:10All those bottles! I blame Zara.
17:24To release money from the inheritance, the players are taking on their first request,
17:28locating the remnants of the deceased's wine and readying it for sale.
17:32That's carped. I can tell now that's off.
17:34Within an hour and a half until collection and no palatable red wine found...
17:39I'm smiling through it. I'm in so much pain right now.
17:41The seller team are taking a more direct approach.
17:44It's currently going appallingly, and time is definitely against us.
17:49Cheap shit.
17:51So we've sort of thrown the strategy out the window and we're now just frantically trying to tap into
17:56anything we can to find some good wine.
17:58Something is coming out of here.
17:59Ah!
18:01I don't even know if it's good or bad.
18:04Wow, that doesn't look like wine.
18:06This is not what I was expecting.
18:08No, that smells like rubbish.
18:10This is just basically hard labour.
18:12Emma is dripping with sweat, but she's absolutely doing an amazing job.
18:17Come on.
18:19I am absolutely exhausted, but I'm running on adrenaline.
18:22We need to find this red wine.
18:24Come on.
18:25I think I'm a really hard worker.
18:27I work long shifts and long days as well, and I try my best to do the most I can, even if I'm tired.
18:33This is not wine tasting.
18:35I'm here because I've got the opportunity to work hard and be awarded for it financially.
18:40That's an opportunity I will never get again in my life, because you don't work as a paramedic for the money.
18:47Ah!
18:49Thanks, Jeff, Jeff, Jeff, Jeff, Jeff, Jeff, I got one!
18:51No, it's all right.
18:53Ah!
18:55Yes!
18:56Yes!
18:57Oh, my God, I've never been so happy to see so much red wine!
19:00Oh, God.
19:03Lovely.
19:04Oh, my God, I'm sweating so much.
19:06Finally, we've got a breakthrough.
19:08We were just so worried that we were going to be the team that didn't come back to it with anything.
19:12Right, I'm thinking we're going to need to start wrapping up to get to bottling.
19:15Yeah.
19:16So there's labelling, bottling, wax, sealing.
19:19Absolutely.
19:20Okay, finding red wine is definitely going to make me look like I've contributed really
19:24well to this request.
19:27Let's go!
19:29Guys, come on, we need to be faster here!
19:33Guys, can we have a hand here, like?
19:36At the lake, with at least some of the white wine safely acquired, it's off to the bottling
19:40station.
19:41Come on, Matt!
19:42Well, I'm buzzing the fact that I'm responsible for actually getting all the wine out of the
19:46lake.
19:47Guys, we need to go!
19:48Oh, yeah.
19:49Yes, there's one or two that helped us along the way.
19:50Well done, guys!
19:51Yes!
19:52Well done!
19:53I've literally got myself in a position where I've done most of the work in a freezing cold
19:58lake.
19:59All right, we're here.
20:00Down.
20:01Oh, God!
20:02Best!
20:03Woo!
20:04Done!
20:06Is everyone doing something?
20:08Yes.
20:09Guys, I'm on opening bottle duty.
20:12What are you guys off to?
20:13I'm corking.
20:14Yeah.
20:15With the red and white wine collected, the players must follow instructions to make the
20:19high-value blended wine and bottle any remaining red.
20:22Then they're taking them away to wax them.
20:24Before labelling, corking.
20:27Got it.
20:28Perfect.
20:29Right.
20:30You ready?
20:31And waxing each bottle for collection.
20:33Guys, the red wine is here.
20:35We need more red wine in these bottles.
20:38I do believe in myself and I do believe that I'm indestructible.
20:42My mother's life, I've put exactly a thousand on every single one of them, okay?
20:45I've got to be a bit wary about Jesse because he's no pushover.
20:48Being efficient here.
20:50But I've got the skills to knock them all down, without a doubt.
20:54I'm really good with sticking stuff.
20:57Do you know what?
20:58I've realised, if you do it towards the bottom of the bottle, you don't get bubbles.
21:02Okay.
21:03There's a bubble in that one, guys.
21:04There's a bubble in this one.
21:05It's going to fail.
21:06It's not sticking on properly.
21:08So I think we should take it off and put it back on.
21:10I don't want to risk it because I went into the water and did so much.
21:13This is going to be a fail.
21:14Why is it a fail?
21:15Because look, it's not the same level.
21:17Yes, all you have to do is pour a bit more in.
21:19Yes, so that's why we're communicating with each other.
21:21You're the only one not officially communicating.
21:24I'm just going to rest now because you guys need to cork it and I don't know how to cork it.
21:27If you're good on the labels, I think you should stay on the labels then, Zara.
21:30Zara dropped the labels to go and insert herself somewhere where she doesn't need to be.
21:35Walking around looking busy instead of actually being busy.
21:39I see through you.
21:40I've got other things to do.
21:42You're doing literally nothing else, but I'm doing all of this.
21:44I am doing a lot.
21:45Yeah.
21:46Actually, thank you very much.
21:47Yeah.
21:48Actually, instead of talking, maybe you should help.
21:50That's exactly what I'm doing.
21:51No, you're not.
21:52You're just walking around talking.
21:53You're actually really should.
21:55I'm doing the tasks I was meant to do.
21:57All right.
21:58Talk, talk, talk, talk.
21:59Okay.
22:00Oh.
22:01Drama.
22:02Bitch.
22:03Bitch.
22:04At this point, my blood is starting to boil because I don't need to listen to you.
22:08Who's labeled you as team leader?
22:10Not me.
22:11I'm being told I'm doing absolutely nothing by that tear check.
22:13Hey, hey, hey, listen.
22:14You're doing plenty.
22:15And I'm pissed off because I was in the water, I was exhausted, and I'm not going to cry,
22:18but I'm just like...
22:19No, you're not.
22:20Calm down.
22:21What an absolute cow.
22:22She's a bitch.
22:24The van is literally 10 minutes away.
22:27So we need to get on the move on.
22:29This is the last stretch.
22:30Yeah.
22:31We need to take all these bottles down to load them up.
22:34Otherwise, we're not going to get any on the van.
22:37Trust in the process.
22:38Trust in the process.
22:44We need to get everything to the entrance of the house where the van is.
22:47Oh, you're joking.
22:48Right, leave it, leave it, leave it.
22:49Let's go.
22:50I'm carrying this crate with one hand.
22:53They're walking with a trolley.
22:55Oh, my God.
22:56These are so heavy.
22:58We've left the red wine behind, but we've still got a lot of money there.
23:02Um, what's this about red wine that no one has said anything about?
23:06Anyone?
23:08I'm a bit confused because no one else seems to think that this red wine is something that
23:13we should be focusing on.
23:14Why have they ditched us?
23:15I don't know.
23:16I don't know how we have managed to get so much fucking red wine.
23:19And all of a sudden, it's just me and James that are left here.
23:22Seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve.
23:25Right.
23:26To get all of the red wine that can potentially bring us money.
23:30Oh!
23:31You guys!
23:32Oh, my gosh.
23:33You guys are amazing.
23:34Yeah, this must start a crate of red.
23:35There's eleven.
23:36There's eleven.
23:37Oh, you're joking!
23:38We counted twelve.
23:39Yeah, there was twelve.
23:40Was there twelve?
23:41For a full crate.
23:42We'll go.
23:43We'll go back.
23:44Ah!
23:45What a runner!
23:46Fair play to Jesse, though.
23:47Yeah.
23:48Go get it, Bo.
23:49Go get it.
23:50Who left this here?
23:53I need to wax this.
23:55Where's everyone else, man?
23:56I smoked them.
23:57This is actually good for me, where I can step in and show these people that I'm in it to
24:01help the group.
24:02Hey!
24:03You're gonna do the lap?
24:04Nah, I'll take it.
24:05Okay, go!
24:06I'll take it.
24:07Okay, go!
24:08I'll take it away.
24:09There's people saying, oh, I can help.
24:10I can take it from here.
24:11I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
24:12I'm gonna be the person to get this last bottle.
24:20Come on, Diffie!
24:21Hey!
24:22Well done!
24:23Last one.
24:24What a shift, lad.
24:25Come on.
24:26Well done, buddy.
24:27Oh, he's wet through.
24:28Bless him.
24:29Hey!
24:30Hey!
24:31Hey!
24:32Hey!
24:33Hey!
24:34Hey!
24:35Hey!
24:36Well done, everyone!
24:41Well done.
24:42Oh!
24:43Oh!
24:44What now?
24:45Not more!
24:46Please!
24:47Players.
24:48You all right?
24:49You've completed your first request.
24:50Woo!
24:51Come on!
24:52Woo!
24:53It was, er, fascinating.
24:57Some of you are more assertive than a Malbec.
25:01Others had more of a table wine quality.
25:05Nevertheless, the wine has been collected.
25:07And I'll calculate how much you've earned.
25:10Now, later you face an important decision.
25:13Because collectively, it'll be down to you to decide who gets that money.
25:19So who deserves it?
25:20Or at least who thinks they have the skill to persuade their fellow players that they do?
25:27I do think I'm deserving of that money.
25:29I was in the lake.
25:30I was in the bottling area.
25:31I dipped my toes into every single little bit.
25:35I had a great team behind me.
25:36They all saw how hard I was working.
25:38My concern is that because other people didn't see it, they might not vote for me.
25:45Players, you may now re-enter the house.
25:47I'm sure you've got much to discuss.
25:50I just have to think on my feet.
25:51And if I can persuade those other players that I'm better than these people next to me, then I'm going to get my hands on that money.
26:00It's a day of firsts.
26:05You two look incredible tonight.
26:08So do you.
26:10The first request.
26:11The first money released from the inheritance.
26:14And soon, the very first division ceremony.
26:18I 100% seen how hard you worked and would back you all the way.
26:21Yeah.
26:22My worry is that Jesse, he's going to be high in people's lists.
26:25I know that Jesse worked hard, but I'm here to be acknowledged for what I have done.
26:31So I think whilst I've got this opportunity, I might as well go all in.
26:34No point playing it safe.
26:36Tonight, the 13 must decide who contributed most in the request.
26:41That player will become the first prime beneficiary and will inherit all the money earned today.
26:47If you put yourself there.
26:48Yeah.
26:49I'm not going to.
26:50You'll have my vote.
26:51Okay.
26:55It's said that money changes people.
27:00We are about to find out just how much.
27:07Oh.
27:08Oh.
27:09Oh my God.
27:10Oh my God, guys.
27:11God, I'm so nervous.
27:12Let's see how the cookie crumbles.
27:18Oh.
27:20Time to light those fireworks.
27:22Let's face the music.
27:23I feel like what is fair is for me to be one of the people that are a contender.
27:35But there's probably going to be other people that think the same.
27:38And I might be overlooked.
27:40I'm thinking I could have a bit of an alliance with Matt.
27:45I can see that he is a strong player in this.
27:55I actually single-handedly earned quite a bit of the money.
27:58My concern is everybody else saw how hard Jessie and Matt were working.
28:02And I know it's going to be really difficult to convince the others as how hard I was working.
28:08If Sarah puts herself forward for the money, this is going to really show people that she is not a team player and self-centered.
28:17I think it's going to come to blows tonight.
28:20I can feel a lot of tension in the room.
28:22I can't wait.
28:24I can't wait.
28:25I can't wait.
28:26I can't wait.
28:27I can't wait.
28:28I can't wait.
28:53This has been a special stage.
28:55This is the division ceremony.
28:59In this room, you'll decide who will receive all of today's money.
29:06Today, you've successfully released
29:08£5,600 from the inheritance,
29:14which sits inside that money box.
29:19However, there was over £20,000 available to you today.
29:25Some of that wine is still on the bottom of the lake.
29:30Some of it you managed to bottle but left behind.
29:33£3,000 worth, actually.
29:38But plus £5,600 is not to be sniffed at.
29:42Somebody here will get their hands on all of that money.
29:49To do so, those who think they contributed most
29:52must step forward as a claimant.
29:57The rest of you will become a jury.
30:06Sir, do you have the courage
30:08to stake your claim to the inheritance or not?
30:12Oh, hell no.
30:18It is really brave to put yourself forward on day one
30:22and I am just not that brave.
30:27I need more time, don't we?
30:30Today, I feel like I am the most valuable player.
30:33Therefore, I'm going to put myself in the spotlight.
30:36But I am feeling a bit nervous
30:37just because I'm thinking,
30:39what am I going to say?
30:45I'm super confident.
30:46I'm backing myself.
30:47And I'm hopefully going to get my hands on that box.
30:57I'm looking at Jessie and Matt
30:59and my heart is sinking
31:00because everybody saw how hard they were working.
31:02I just hope people actually see that I did a lot.
31:17I cannot believe Zara is sat up there.
31:20The audacity.
31:22The absolute audacity.
31:26I contributed a lot.
31:27But because of how I got into a little bit of a fight with Tia,
31:31it's going to be a little uncomfortable for us both,
31:33but bring it on.
31:39Jessie, Matt, Emma and Zara,
31:44you are the claimants.
31:46The rest of you are now the jury.
31:51It's down to all of you
31:53to decide who you think should get the money.
31:57You may begin.
32:02Well, I think you should explain why you think you deserve it.
32:07Anyone want to start?
32:09I...
32:10I don't mind starting.
32:12Go on.
32:14Not a lot of you were there at the tasting part,
32:18so I'm just going to have to explain kind of what I did there.
32:23It wasn't wine tasting like you thought
32:25and I had to physically use a manual drill
32:29to open the barrels.
32:32Myself and James also managed to get a whole crate of red wine
32:35in about ten minutes
32:36and brought it to the front of the house.
32:40The effort that you two must have gone
32:42to rush to get those done...
32:43I was dripping in sweat throughout that whole thing.
32:46We didn't have...
32:47We didn't have an entire crate.
32:49I'm going to interject there
32:51because there was a lot of wheels
32:53to what was going on here.
32:55Like I said, I appreciate not everyone was there
32:57to see how hard I was working,
32:58but I'm hoping that the amount of red wine
33:00that we arrived with would show that.
33:03Thank you, Emma.
33:04Jessie, why should you become a prime beneficiary?
33:07So, the reason why I put myself forward...
33:10Sorry, I was just going to...
33:14Let me just try and regain my thoughts.
33:23So, starting off,
33:26I was one of the first people to get into the water
33:28at the wine station.
33:31As soon as I got there,
33:32I saw all the wine bottles
33:33that we got from the lake
33:35were all still bottled.
33:36I unbottled all of them by myself.
33:39I then helped transport the crates.
33:42That's when we then realised
33:43that all the wine bottles that we brought,
33:46we were one short.
33:47I'm here thinking,
33:48we need one more wine bottle.
33:51I'm going to sprint this.
33:52I try to run with you
33:53and give you support from afar.
33:56When I got my mind on something,
33:58I'm there putting it 100% into it.
33:59Yeah.
34:00The way I see it, though,
34:02I think everybody did a brilliant job.
34:03But Matt was the key.
34:06None of us could have pulled that wine
34:08out of that pontoon.
34:10The weight of it...
34:11It was heavy.
34:12Without that, none of this.
34:15Hang on, can I interject, please?
34:18Of course you can, Anne.
34:18You can't turn around and say,
34:20without the white wine,
34:21there'd have been nothing
34:22because you needed the red wine as well.
34:26Credit to Emma.
34:27She never stopped.
34:29I didn't stop.
34:30Matt, it's over to you.
34:33Why should you become
34:34the prime beneficiary?
34:36Okay.
34:37Jesse, effort and productivity
34:40are two different things.
34:42My input was probably
34:44a little bit more beneficial
34:45to the group
34:46because had I not been
34:48in the positions in the water
34:49to get the majority of the wine,
34:51probably 75% of the wine,
34:52was down to me.
34:55I certainly, myself,
34:56was straight on to making the mix
34:58and then it was back
35:00to fill up the red wine
35:01because that was just
35:03not where it should have been as well,
35:05so I was doing that as well.
35:07That was transportation
35:08and I was loading
35:09and quality assurance.
35:11I mean, every single part
35:12that I touched
35:13was the whole game.
35:15Without me,
35:16I don't think we'd have done
35:17as well in the task.
35:18Thank you, Matt.
35:22Zara?
35:24I feel like I'm showing off now
35:25by saying all the things
35:26that I did,
35:26but, I mean,
35:27we're doing that.
35:27You have to.
35:27That's what we've done.
35:29I did so much,
35:31you don't even understand
35:32how much I did.
35:34So, us lake people,
35:37let's just say,
35:37we went into the lake.
35:39I've dipped my toes
35:40into every little single thing.
35:42I tried labelling,
35:43so I felt like
35:44everything was on me.
35:45Sorry, can I just interject?
35:47Yeah.
35:47I think there's a difference
35:48between doing something
35:49and doing something effectively.
35:51I think you actually
35:52hindered the labelling process.
35:55Interesting.
35:56I didn't realise that.
35:58What do you want to say?
35:59Do you want to just...
35:59When somebody is
36:00chatting out their arse,
36:02I have to stop them.
36:06Where we were there,
36:07you've done a maximum
36:08of three labels.
36:09If that's what you were,
36:09were you just standing there
36:10looking at me the whole time?
36:11No, because I was in the mix.
36:13What were you doing?
36:14You don't need to get
36:15so defensive at me.
36:16At the lake.
36:17Zara decided that
36:18she wanted to take
36:19one bottle of wine
36:20out of the thing each.
36:21And all we're saying
36:22is, Zara, stop.
36:23No, I've got witnesses.
36:24I took them out.
36:24You guys, I'll put them back in.
36:25Put them back in.
36:26Take them out.
36:26Okay, take them out.
36:27Okay.
36:27I didn't see Zara
36:28going to put the bottles
36:29back in once.
36:29I mean, have you got binoculars?
36:30Or have you got supersonic eyesight?
36:32I have 20-20 vision.
36:33You wouldn't know
36:34because you're not optician.
36:35But yet you couldn't see us
36:37or hear what we were signing.
36:38I want to say,
36:39like, I'm a simpleton.
36:40Like, I'm just going to say it.
36:41So I can take orders easily,
36:42but, like,
36:43you have to kind of make it
36:44connect the dots for me.
36:45No, but we were trying to, Zara,
36:47but you...
36:47I get it, but we were trying to explain
36:48and then you told Tia to shut up.
36:50You wasn't trying to listen.
36:51Can I finish talking?
36:52Because I heard exactly
36:53what you just said.
36:53Now you're repeating it again.
36:55Yeah, because you said
36:55you're a simpleton,
36:56so I'm making it clear for you.
37:00Everybody else I've had contact
37:01with just got on with it.
37:02I can count on two hands
37:04and I need some more
37:05of how much time
37:06you came over to me.
37:07You enjoyed the Zara show
37:09and you sitting at this position
37:10just shows how much
37:12of a selfish player you are.
37:13And here's the thing.
37:14Can I just say something to Tia?
37:15No, if you're going to cry,
37:16you pick to go in the...
37:17Can I not talk?
37:19Please!
37:19Players, players, players.
37:21Decorum, please.
37:22You shouldn't have put yourself there.
37:23Decorum, please.
37:24This is the deceased's house.
37:27Sorry.
37:27I'm sorry.
37:33That concludes this part
37:34of the division ceremony.
37:35Members of the jury,
37:38it's now for you to decide
37:40who you think
37:41should be the prime beneficiary.
37:43How you arrive at your decision
37:44is up to you as a group.
37:47Claimants,
37:48let us leave
37:49and await the decision of the jury.
37:57I've never seen crocodile tears
37:59like that in my life.
38:00Those were on cue.
38:02Crocodile tears.
38:05Can I suggest
38:07that we start literally
38:09and go around each person
38:10and say what we feel?
38:12Then we can make a decision.
38:14And put our hands up
38:15who we would pick.
38:16And go with a majority vote.
38:17Is everyone happy with that?
38:18Let's do that.
38:19This is a diplomatic society.
38:20OK.
38:23Why don't we start
38:24with Zara then?
38:27Zara had quite a lot
38:28to say there.
38:29I think there was a lot
38:30of running around
38:31looking busy
38:32and not really being busy.
38:32Yeah, I was going to echo that.
38:34I can't,
38:34I personally can't vote for it.
38:36The looking busy bit,
38:37she wanted to make up
38:38for what was lost to the lake.
38:39She knew what she was doing.
38:41I've got to talk for Emma.
38:45There was only four of us,
38:46so the rest of you
38:48have no idea
38:49what that girl did.
38:50She put everything into it.
38:52The red could have been sold alone.
38:54The white couldn't have.
38:55So I think she was
38:56a really crucial cog
38:57in the wheel.
38:58Everyone who's down
38:59at the wine cellar
39:00have all been pushing
39:01for Emma.
39:03So I'm really hoping
39:04Emma will actually
39:05be able to get this.
39:08Shall we move on to Jesse?
39:09OK.
39:11Jesse gave
39:12a really good performance.
39:14He was absolutely incredible
39:15doing a little triathlon
39:16of his own.
39:17Yeah.
39:17The only reason
39:18I've not put myself up
39:19was because of Jesse's behaviour
39:21and how he brought us
39:22together as a team.
39:23It's weird
39:23because I don't see that.
39:25It's more in my interest
39:26to form an alliance
39:27with Jesse.
39:29If I can support him,
39:30he can support me too.
39:32Jesse was brilliant.
39:34To me,
39:35Matt held it together.
39:39We were all cogs
39:40and he was a key.
39:41I do feel like
39:42he worked hard.
39:43If we didn't have Matt,
39:45we wouldn't have had
39:46I agree.
39:47hardly any of that wine.
39:49I saw what Matt did today.
39:51he absolutely
39:52gave it everything.
39:59So, guys,
40:01hands high,
40:02would anyone like
40:02to pick Zara?
40:05I did buttheads
40:06with Tia,
40:07possibly Hafsah,
40:09which I hope
40:11I'm not going to regret.
40:12You, Tia?
40:13Votes for Emma.
40:22Right now,
40:23I feel sick.
40:24I've really put myself
40:26on the line
40:26to get Prime Beneficiary
40:28and maybe I didn't
40:29put myself across
40:30as best I could.
40:33Who's voting for Jesse?
40:34Put your hands up.
40:35It's the first one
40:40and I've messed up.
40:43I feel like now
40:44there's no chance
40:45that it's going to be me.
40:48Hands up
40:48if you're voting for Matt.
40:50I feel confident.
40:52I impress the jury.
40:54So, you know,
40:55I'm thinking
40:55I'm nailed on to get it.
40:57So, we've come
40:58into a decision.
41:02Let's do this.
41:28Ladies and gentlemen
41:36of the jury,
41:36have you reached
41:37a decision?
41:38Yes.
41:39Yes.
41:39Yes.
41:40Very well.
41:43This person
41:44is about to inherit
41:46every single penny
41:48in that box.
41:50Yes.
41:58The jury
42:14has chosen Jesse
42:18as Prime Beneficiary.
42:21OK.
42:22Well done, Jesse.
42:24I guess.
42:25I don't know what to say.
42:29Jesse,
42:30you've inherited
42:31£5,600.
42:33That's a lot of money.
42:35It's now time
42:35to go to the strong room.
42:42Here,
42:43in private,
42:45you've got
42:46a very big decision
42:47to make.
42:50Under the terms
42:51of the will,
42:51you may keep
42:53all of that money.
42:57Or,
42:57gift as much
42:59as half
43:00to the jury.
43:04If he was being smart,
43:06he would divide some
43:07amongst the jury
43:08to bring some people
43:09on side.
43:11I think it's only right
43:12that if the jury
43:13is giving you
43:14the opportunity
43:14to be the Prime Beneficiary,
43:16that you thank
43:17and reward them
43:18for that.
43:20Matt,
43:22Emma,
43:24and Zara,
43:24as a failed claimant's,
43:27you cannot be gifted
43:28any money tonight.
43:31I'm getting nothing,
43:32like,
43:33nothing at all
43:34for all that hard work
43:35I've put in.
43:35I'm so disappointed,
43:39but it is high risk,
43:41high reward.
43:45Jesse,
43:46please collect
43:47the inheritance
43:48and come with me
43:48to the strong room.
43:50Well done, Jesse.
43:51Well done, mate.
43:52The rest of you
43:52are free to leave.
43:54See you guys in a bit.
43:55I just hope
44:02that he does
44:02the right thing.
44:13So,
44:14what do we think
44:14Jesse is going to do?
44:15If he's going to
44:16keep it all or...
44:17Zara,
44:18you and I,
44:18unfortunately,
44:19we're out of this one.
44:20It's really put a twist
44:21in it,
44:21hasn't it?
44:21I'm feeling
44:27like the man
44:28right now.
44:31Today,
44:32I came on top.
44:41Jesse,
44:42welcome to the strong room.
44:45This is where
44:46the deceased
44:46stored her wealth
44:47and it'll now be
44:48where you store yours.
44:50Come on.
44:51Yes.
44:53You've inherited
44:545,600 pounds
44:56from the will.
44:57You've got a decision
44:58to make.
44:59You may gift up
45:00to half of it
45:01to any of the members
45:02of the jury.
45:03You can, of course,
45:04decide to keep it all.
45:06But before you
45:07make your choice,
45:08I've got a message
45:09from the deceased.
45:10Good evening, darling.
45:23Congratulations.
45:25It looks like you
45:26are the first here.
45:28You won't be the last,
45:29though,
45:29so don't go
45:30popping my vintage
45:31champagne just yet.
45:33You now have to decide
45:35what is fair.
45:37You may be one of those
45:39even-steven kinds
45:40of people.
45:41Heaven forbid.
45:43Or, like me,
45:45you may think
45:45what's mine
45:46is, well,
45:48mine.
45:49What's it to be, darling?
45:51Are all players
45:52created equal
45:53or are some
45:55more equal
45:55than others?
45:57Ciao for now.
45:58£5,600 on the table.
46:03That's a lot of money.
46:04That's a lot of money.
46:05That's a lot of money.
46:07Now, Jesse,
46:08whether you choose
46:09to disclose
46:09what happens
46:10in this room
46:10is entirely up to you.
46:14Understood.
46:15You can keep it all
46:16or gift up to half of it
46:17to members of the jury.
46:19He could literally
46:19come back
46:20and say he's shared
46:21the money
46:21between all of us.
46:23How do we know
46:24if he's telling the truth?
46:25I came in
46:26dead set
46:27on voting for Jesse.
46:29I was putting forward
46:30a really valid argument,
46:32so I'm hoping
46:33that he is going
46:34to share
46:35some of his money
46:36with us.
46:37If he takes
46:38all the money tonight,
46:40pretty much going forward,
46:41it's going to be
46:41every man for himself
46:42in this game.
46:44Jesse's going to be
46:44the person that sets
46:45the tone
46:46for the rest of us.
46:50That's actually my name.
46:51That's sick.
46:52Have a smell.
46:55It is a lot of
46:56responsibility
46:57and a lot of power
46:58as well.
47:01But what's fair
47:02was good for myself.
47:05It's now time to decide.
47:07At the end of the day,
47:09the game is the game.
47:12This decision
47:13will change everything.
47:14I may be dead,
47:24but I'm not done.
47:25Guys, it's £10,000 online
47:27and so far
47:28we're going to get
47:28about a tenner.
47:29Good evening,
47:30old-fashioned.
47:32Zara, come on.
47:33You need to really
47:34get involved here.
47:35Come on now.
47:36Whoa!
47:36Remember to be the best
47:39or at least make
47:40others think you are.
47:41If one of us
47:42puts ourselves up,
47:43nobody else.
47:44There's an alliance.
47:45They are pouring the money
47:46into their own team.
47:47Welcome to the
47:47division ceremony.
47:48Not everybody's
47:49being truthful.
47:50It's true.
47:52I pretty much
47:52don't want anyone
47:53for the rest of the game.
47:54We have a snake
47:55in the room.
47:56Scandalous.
47:56The deceased
47:57never intended
47:58this game
47:59to be so fair
48:01and so lovely.
48:02Are you being dramatic
48:03to make yourself
48:04centre of attention?
48:05I never require attention.
48:06It comes to me naturally.
48:08The person you
48:08collectively appoint
48:09will have control
48:11over the £100,000
48:13which of these players
48:14should be cut
48:15from the will.
48:16Fair in a game
48:17like this?
48:19It's not worth
48:19the paper it's written on.
48:23I know it's nothing
48:24to do with anything
48:25but Rob Rinder's
48:26tailoring is on point.
48:27See more tomorrow
48:28at nine.
48:29Now, something else
48:30that's brand new
48:31honestly can't move
48:32for all the newness
48:32around here.
48:33The Bake Off's back.
48:34That starts Tuesday
48:35at eight.
48:36Next, tonight
48:37and also new,
48:39the jury Australia.
