00:00Hello, darlings.
00:02I have some bad news.
00:04Are you ready?
00:05Here goes.
00:06I'm dead.
00:12But it's not all doom and gloom.
00:16Because when one perfectly proportioned door closes,
00:20another one opens.
00:22And that's where you come in.
00:24I'm simply fascinated by the lengths to which people will go to get what they want.
00:32I've seen my fair share of grasping, grabbing, treachery and backstabbing.
00:37Wow.
00:38And that's just in my family.
00:40So I've set my sights slightly further afield.
00:44You, lucky 13, have been chosen because you have brilliant attributes.
00:50I'd love to win it, but I want to do this with integrity.
00:55If I come out with people saying,
00:57I like old Ferg, he's a nice bloke, I'm a winner.
01:00What I am is an opportunist.
01:03If I can make money out of an opportunity, I will do it.
01:07Every day, I work really hard and I don't get financial gain.
01:12No one works in the NHS for the money.
01:15This is my opportunity to get rewarded.
01:19People underestimate me.
01:24They think she's glamorous, she's cute, beautiful clothes.
01:28I can use that to my advantage.
01:32You're about to play my little game.
01:34Play well and you'll end up rich.
01:36This is mental.
01:38Because each of you is in with a chance to get your hands on my generous assets.
01:43That is gorgeous.
01:46My inheritance.
01:51Now, it wouldn't be a devilishly dramatic will reading without a shocking twist.
01:57And here comes mine.
01:59I think the fair thing in life is that those who persuade others that they made the difference should get the biggest rewards.
02:08So, each time you release part of my inheritance from the estate, one of you will take it all.
02:14It's up to you to agree on who that is.
02:18When it comes to the legal bits, I'm turning things over to my executor, the fabulous Robert Rinder.
02:23Ciao for now.
02:25God, she looks good.
02:32If I look that good when I'm dead, I'll be absolutely thrilled.
02:38I'm a scaffolder.
02:39Having debts hanging over your head is like having someone stood on your chest.
02:44That's why I work seven days a week to try and pay it off.
02:46But having the opportunity to just go, done, clear, it's amazing.
02:54I was disinherited from my father's money and he's never given me a penny.
03:01We would go over for dinner and he would just randomly say,
03:04that dining chair that you're sat on right now, that would pay off your student bills.
03:08So, I think my fight for money is because of what my dad did.
03:20I'm looking around the room and thinking, who is my biggest competitor?
03:23Have I got a kind of watch?
03:25And do you know what?
03:26There isn't any I'm worried about.
03:34Good morning.
03:39Good morning.
03:40I am the executor of the deceased, Will.
03:43The first thing I'm thinking is, the executor looks absolutely fabulous in his tailored double-breasted suit.
03:50I can tell straight away he knows what he's talking about.
03:54You've all been chosen to play a game designed by the deceased in order to claim some of the inheritance.
03:59To release money from the inheritance, you must complete a series of requests together as a team.
04:06Here's the deceased's first message from beyond the grave.
04:16Hello, darlings.
04:17Brad Pitt, Kylie Minogue, Nick Faldo, what do they all have in common?
04:21If your answer is, they have all been physically ejected from my annual pool party, ten points to you.
04:28However, if your answer was, they're all winemakers, then an extra gold star for you, darlings.
04:36Like them, I too have my own range of boutique wine, and darlings, it's made me richer than a vintage claret.
04:43Now, I may have expired, but luckily, my wine hasn't.
04:49In fact, it's experiencing a revival, the Van Gogh effect, you might say.
04:54It's turned into a collector's item.
04:57And there, my little band of boozehounds is where you come in.
05:02To get the money for my first request, I need you to gather up the last of my stock and get it ready for sale.
05:09Steady hands, darling, because every single milliliter is worth money.
05:15Get on with it. While I'm here pushing up daisies, you get to wake up and smell the rosé. Ciao for now.
05:27Now, to complete this request, you must locate, identify and re-bottle the remaining wine stock before it is collected.
05:35Doing so, we'll release money from the inheritance.
05:39The red wine is stored in barrels in the estate cellar.
05:42It will need to be correctly identified.
05:45You'll need to match the example bottles to the corresponding barrels.
05:50To do this, you are free to sample the wines.
05:53The white wine is being aged in the loke.
05:56You must retrieve this and correctly mix it with the red wine in order to create the deceased's renowned blend.
06:02You have three hours to complete the task before collection.
06:07For each crate of 12 red wines successfully delivered, you will release £400 from the inheritance.
06:14For each crate of 12 blended wines, you'll release £800.
06:18Later, I'll tell you how much you all earned.
06:23Then you will decide which one player contributed the most.
06:27Who has been the best team member?
06:30This will be an important decision because that person gets the cash that you all made today.
06:36Only one person gets 100% of the money, so that's got to be me, hasn't it?
06:43To clarify, be the best or at least make everyone else think that you are.
06:49As an entrepreneur, if I can convince high net worth individuals to invest in my ideas, hopefully I can convince average Joes to back me in a game like this.
07:03Players, how you carry out this request is entirely down to you.
07:07I'm starting to understand exactly what we have to do here to get the money.
07:11It's all about persuading these guys that basically you're better than the people sat next to you.
07:15Please depart to the drawing room to formulate a plan.
07:19I have literally spent 30 years bluffing my way through businesses.
07:24Why can't I bluff my way to the top on this one?
07:27There's lots to talk about.
07:33Guys, can we say, like, if we actually have, like, wine knowledge?
07:36Excellent idea.
07:38So I'm Tia, I don't really have wine knowledge, I just enjoy drinking it.
07:42So I'm Hannah, I do have a couple of wine credentials under my belt.
07:47OK.
07:48If possible, I'd like to stick to the sort of tasting side of things.
07:52My name is Emma, I love a glass of wine, but I don't drink it enough to taste it, if I'm honest.
07:59Like, if I have a bowl, it's gone.
08:01Are you trying to say you're an alcoholic?
08:03So...
08:05I'm Pat, I do love my Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
08:09Oh!
08:11Drinking the amounts of wine I've drunk over the years I knew would pay off one day.
08:16I'm 75, so I'm not going in the lake.
08:20OK.
08:22I'm James, I really do like wine.
08:24I'm not a sommelier, I've not done a course or anything, but I have visited vineyards.
08:26Good.
08:28I don't want to risk myself flapping about in water looking like a fool on day one.
08:33Can you differentiate?
08:34I can definitely differentiate.
08:36Sold.
08:37He's our man.
08:38Sold!
08:39We're together!
08:41Who's the most confident at swimming?
08:42I'm pretty mad because I like cold water swimming, and I look good in a wet suit.
08:47Woo!
08:49I like swimming as well.
08:50I'm easy, whatever.
08:51My name's Jesse, 19.
08:53I'm not very familiar with wine, but I can swim.
08:56I know I don't have a hand, but don't see that as me not being able to swim, OK?
09:00Being a student, what is good about it, the endurance is there after a night out, getting to deal with the hungover the day after.
09:07So, anything that's physical, I'll hopefully be good at.
09:10I'm not a great wine drinker, but I don't mind getting wet.
09:14OK.
09:16Jesse, he is just like an excitable puppy.
09:19Cool.
09:20People like that absolutely do my head in.
09:22Oh, God.
09:24So, I think there needs to be two groups.
09:28Who's going to the cellar and who's going to the lake.
09:31Good idea.
09:32We want to get as much blended wines as we can, because that's where the money is.
09:35Yeah.
09:36I...
09:37Yeah, totally.
09:38Absolutely.
09:39Also important to notice is that we get money from just the red wine alone.
09:44Yeah.
09:45OK, so who's going to the lake?
09:46Put your hand up and then we can be really clear about it.
09:49So, four are going to one taste in and nine are going to the lake.
09:52OK.
09:53Yay!
09:54Awesome!
09:55You're great!
10:00Go, go, go!
10:01Woo-hoo!
10:02Bye!
10:03Bye!
10:07Woo-hoo!
10:08Sweet!
10:10For nine players, it's a trip to the Estates Lake.
10:13I'm going to say, like, if you need my attention, just shout.
10:16Oh, yeah.
10:17I'm just going to scream in it.
10:18Yes.
10:19Being a gamer, I can be quite awkward socially, especially now that I haven't really been around
10:23human beings for the last three years.
10:25I'm a bad listener.
10:26I'm working on it.
10:27Oh!
10:28I'm in the digital realm 24-7.
10:30I'm better with animals and plants than I am with people right now, so...
10:35That's going to be a bit of a challenge.
10:37Off to the deceased cellars.
10:39Emma, Pat, Hannah and James are in pursuit of red wine.
10:43They're about to get into freezing cold water, and we're off to taste wine.
10:47There's only four of us that have gone wine tasting, but we could actually look pretty
10:51good that we're able to do half the task with just four of us, and they need nine people
10:55to do the other half.
10:56Well done to us all for choosing the right one.
10:59Oh, is that the layer?
11:01Oh, God.
11:03I put myself forward to be one of the swimmers.
11:05We are going to get wet, ladies.
11:07That is for sure.
11:08I'm backing myself all day long.
11:10I'm really strong.
11:12Yeah, yeah, yeah.
11:13Do it!
11:14Whoop!
11:15Most of the group looked like they couldn't get their feet wet without causing an issue.
11:19My feet are socking.
11:20So, I'm getting my hands on that money.
11:22Run like a gazelle!
11:24To make the most money, they'll need the white wine, essential for the more lucrative blend.
11:29But to get it, they'll have to brave the cold waters.
11:32Yeah, it's a bit of a swim.
11:36This way.
11:37Oh, my God, it's here.
11:38Barrel store.
11:39For the players at the cellars, the way to identify the unspoiled red...
11:43What are we doing?
11:45...is to taste the sample bottles.
11:48You just have to try the best wine.
11:49And then it's going to match...
11:50And then match it next door.
11:51...what's next door.
11:52That's vile.
11:54No, that's a bad one.
11:57Guys, so we've got three hours to do this.
11:59We're going to have to make this quick.
12:00You guys need to get changed ASAP.
12:02Yeah.
12:03We're going to stand at the sidelines cheering yous on.
12:04Can you swim?
12:05No.
12:06No.
12:07Well, I can, but...
12:08Not today.
12:09I'm just going to have to do the most on land to make the others think that I'm the leader of the group.
12:16Here comes Cam and Catherine.
12:19It's like walking through.
12:20Shoot.
12:25Go on, Jessie.
12:26I'm for sure going in that lake.
12:28Because I'm decent at swimming.
12:31And also, it's something that other people don't want to do.
12:35Jessie!
12:36You're doing amazing!
12:38It's a good reason for me to say, look, you guys don't want to do this.
12:41I did it.
12:42Plus, if I get as many people as I can to think Jessie helped me, that's going to be better for me.
12:47Cam!
12:48Yeah?
12:49There's one which is attached to four ropes.
12:51I need your help on this.
12:53Right, give me a minute.
12:54Hey, there's a duck here.
12:56I've never actually been outdoor swimming.
12:58I don't go in the sea because I don't trust it.
13:00That's just a duck.
13:01Come on.
13:02But Jessie's straight up onto the pontoon.
13:05He's keen as mustard.
13:06Wait up!
13:07And he just gave everyone sort of boost that we all needed.
13:10Here we go.
13:13Great.
13:14Now we're cooking on gas.
13:15Hang on.
13:17Ah, let's go!
13:19I think one of my biggest challenges in life would be to overcome my disability.
13:25Growing up with a physical difference, there's a lot of people that look at you and say things.
13:32I've just kind of learnt to not really give up.
13:36Jessie has weight to it.
13:37I want to prove that no matter what group I'm in, what game I'm in, if I really want to do something, I'll be able to do it.
13:46Woo!
13:47Well done, guys.
13:48Lovely.
13:49Well done.
13:50I am really impressed with Jessie.
13:52You know, my initial thoughts on Jessie was he's got all this energy.
13:56One, two, three.
13:59But the boy is strong.
14:02Wow!
14:03Come on!
14:04Oh, my God!
14:06Go on, Matt!
14:08Jessie and Cam have already located some wine.
14:11I'm nothing.
14:12Holy shit!
14:13Yeah!
14:14So, I just have to assert myself.
14:16They're heavy.
14:17I'm pulling up the ropes.
14:18I've finally found the first bit of wine.
14:20Yes!
14:21And then I pull up another crate of wine.
14:23I'm absolutely smashing this right now.
14:25I'm getting everyone's attention.
14:27It's only me that's finding the wine.
14:29Whilst we're waiting for these guys, I'll go in.
14:32Do you want it?
14:33Do you want me to come with you?
14:40Okay.
14:41Guys, that looks like wine.
14:42Right.
14:43Let's have a sip.
14:44Make sure.
14:45In the cellars...
14:46Just to make sure.
14:47...the task of sampling the red also requires a strong disposition.
14:51That's the water, that vial.
14:53My God!
14:54What we need to do is empty wine from these barrels that correspond to the nice tasting wine
15:01in the wine tasting room.
15:03Mmm!
15:04That not good?
15:05Ah, that's pure vinegar.
15:06Oh, lovely.
15:07I wouldn't even put that on fish and chips.
15:09Oh!
15:10That's not going to be good.
15:11That's vial.
15:12Vial!
15:13You know, if the deceased drank this wine, I can see exactly why she's deceased.
15:19I'm getting really frustrated.
15:21The clock is ticking and it's just stressing me out.
15:24What, I'm going to have to drill into this?
15:26So, I just need to get down and I need to do something physical.
15:29Do you want me to do anything?
15:32I don't know.
15:33I don't want to have to vocalise that I'm a hard worker.
15:35I want people to see it.
15:37So, I'm just trying to find some red wine even if it's by pure luck.
15:41I'm shattered.
15:42Oh my gosh.
15:43It's got to be an easier way to do this.
15:46I think I'd rather be in a lake right now.
15:49How much time?
15:51Time!
15:52One hour gone.
15:53It's stuck on the bottom.
15:55It looks like all the lads come, Jesse, Ferg, and Matt are doing the most here.
16:01Woo!
16:02Catherine's just out for a leisurely cold water swim and Zara's just frustrating everyone.
16:07God's sake!
16:09Great.
16:10I'm just going to sit here and mind all the balls.
16:13I want this money.
16:14I want to contribute.
16:15I want to show everyone I can be, you know, I am useful.
16:19I'm out of breath.
16:20Let's go, let's go, let's go!
16:22Leave the balls inside!
16:23Leave the weight!
16:24Zara!
16:25Take out the weight!
16:26Fuck no!
16:27I need someone strong to do that!
16:29I'm on the pontoon.
16:30I'm exhausted.
16:31I hear the three cheerleaders, let's just say, and they're just shouting at me.
16:38Leave the balls inside!
16:39Leave the balls inside!
16:40There's a fucking weight!
16:41Yes!
16:42Take out the weight!
16:43Shut up!
16:44Shut up!
16:45I'm in a motion right now.
16:46Let me work!
16:47Shut up, please!
16:48Come into the water!
16:49Zara's being so rude.
16:51She's saying, oh, you guys are not in the water.
16:53Shut up and all of these things.
16:55Why are they placing the bottles like that?
16:57They're falling in the water!
16:58You guys said to put this on here.
16:59If it falls, it's on you!
17:00No!
17:01He said take out the weight!
17:02No!
17:03Take the weights out!
17:04There's a tiny hole!
17:05Shut up!
17:06Fuck!
17:07Oh!
17:08Oh my God, that whole raft is just going to sink.
17:10All those bottles.
17:11I blame Zara.
17:24To release money from the inheritance, the players are taking on their first requirements.
17:27Locating the remnants of the deceased wine and readying it for sale.
17:32That's carped.
17:33I can tell now that's off.
17:34Within an hour and a half until collection and no palatable red wine found.
17:39I'm smiling through it.
17:40I'm in so much pain right now.
17:42The seller team are taking a more direct approach.
17:45It's currently going appallingly.
17:47And time is definitely against us.
17:49Cheap shit.
17:51So we've sort of thrown the strategy out the window and we're now just frantically trying
17:55to tap into anything we can to find some good wine.
17:58Something is coming out of here.
18:00Ah!
18:01I don't even know if it's good or bad.
18:02Wow, that doesn't look like wine.
18:06This is not what I was expecting.
18:08No, that smells like rubbish.
18:10This is just basically hard labour.
18:12Emma is dripping with sweat, but she's absolutely doing an amazing job.
18:17Ah!
18:18Come on.
18:19I am absolutely exhausted, but I am running on adrenaline.
18:22We need to find this red wine.
18:24Come on.
18:25I think I am a really hard worker.
18:27I work long shifts and long days as well.
18:30And I try my best to do the most I can, even if I'm tired.
18:33This is not wine tasting.
18:35I'm here because I've got the opportunity to work hard and be awarded for it financially.
18:40And that's an opportunity I will never get again in my life.
18:43Because you don't work as a paramedic for the money.
18:48Ah!
18:49Thanks.
18:50Cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap.
18:51I got one.
18:52No, it's not.
18:53Ah!
18:55Yes!
18:56Yes!
18:57Oh, my God, I've never been so happy to see too much red wine.
19:00Oh, God.
19:03Lovely.
19:04Oh, my God, I'm sweating so much.
19:06Finally, we've got a breakthrough.
19:08We were just so worried that we were going to be the team that didn't come back to it with anything.
19:12Right, I'm thinking we're going to need to start wrapping up to get to bottling.
19:15Yeah, yeah.
19:16Because there's labelling, bottling, wax sealing.
19:19Absolutely.
19:20Finding red wine is definitely going to make me look like I've contributed really well to this request.
19:27Let's go!
19:31Guys, come on, we need to be faster here.
19:33Guys, can we have a hand here?
19:35Like...
19:36At the lake, with at least some of the white wine safely acquired, it's off to the bottling station.
19:41Come on, Matt!
19:42Well, I'm buzzing the fact that I'm responsible for actually getting all the wine out of the lake.
19:46Guys, we need to go.
19:47Oh, yeah.
19:48Yes, there's one or two that helped us along the way.
19:50Well done, guys!
19:51Yes!
19:52Well done!
19:53I have literally got myself in a position where I've done most of the work in a freezing cold lake.
19:58All right, we're here.
19:59Down.
20:00I got pissed!
20:01Woo!
20:02Done!
20:03Is everyone doing something?
20:04Yes!
20:05Guys, I'm on opening bottle duty.
20:07What are you guys up to?
20:08I'm corking.
20:09Yeah.
20:10With the red and white wine collected, the players must follow instructions to make the high-value blended wine and bottle any remaining red.
20:13Then they're taking them away to wax them.
20:15Before labelling, corking.
20:16Got it.
20:17Perfect.
20:18Right.
20:19You ready?
20:20And waxing each bottle for collection.
20:21Guys, the red wine is here.
20:22We need more red wine in these bottles.
20:24I do believe in myself and I do believe that I'm indestructible.
20:27My mother's like, I've put exactly a thousand on every single one of them, OK?
20:42I've got to be a bit wary about Jesse because he's no pushover.
20:45Being efficient here.
20:46But I've got the skills to knock them all down, without a doubt.
20:50I'm really good with sticking sticks.
20:52This is the biggest thing that I've been having.
20:53I've been having a great time.
20:54I'm really good with sticking stuff.
20:56Do you know what? I've realized if you do it
20:58towards the bottom of the buttock, you don't get bubbles.
21:01OK. There's a bubble in that one, guys.
21:03There's a bubble in this one. It's going to fail.
21:06It's not sticking on properly.
21:07So I think we should take it off and put it back on.
21:10I don't want to risk it, because I went into the water
21:12and did so much.
21:13This is going to be a fail.
21:14Why is it a fail?
21:15Because, look, it's not the same level.
21:17Yes, all you have to do is pour a bit more in.
21:18Yes, so that's why we're communicating with each other.
21:21You're the only one not officially communicating.
21:23I'm just going to rest now, because you guys need to cork it,
21:26and I don't know how to cork it.
21:27If you're good on the labels,
21:28I think you should stay on the labels then, Zara.
21:30Zara dropped the labels to go and insert herself
21:33somewhere that she doesn't need to be.
21:35Walking around looking busy instead of actually being busy.
21:38I see through you.
21:40I've got other things to do.
21:42You're doing literally nothing else, but I'm doing all of this.
21:44I have done a lot, actually. Thank you very much.
21:47Actually, instead of talking, maybe you should help.
21:50That's exactly what I'm doing.
21:51No, you're not.
21:52You're just walking around talking.
21:54You're actually a really shit.
21:55I'm doing the task I was meant to do.
21:57All right. Talk, talk, talk, talk.
21:59Okay.
22:00Oh, drama.
22:02Bitch.
22:04At this point, my blood is starting to boil,
22:06because I don't need to listen to you.
22:08Who's labeled you as team leader?
22:10Not me.
22:11I'm being told I'm doing absolutely nothing by that Tia chick.
22:13Hey, hey, listen, you're doing plenty.
22:14I'm pissed off because I was in the water,
22:16I was exhausted, and I'm not going to cry, but I'm just like...
22:18No, you're not. Calm down.
22:20It's a cute cow. She's a bitch.
22:25The van is literally ten minutes away.
22:26So we need to get on the move on.
22:29This is the last stretch.
22:30Yeah.
22:30We need to take all these bottles down to load them up.
22:35Otherwise, we're not going to get any on the van.
22:37Trust in the process. Trust in the process.
22:39We need to get everything to the entrance of the house with the van is.
22:47Oh, you're joking.
22:48Right, leave it, leave it, leave it.
22:49Let's go.
22:50I'm carrying this crate with one hand.
22:53And they're walking with a trolley.
22:55Oh, my God. These are so heavy.
22:58We've left the red wine behind, but we've still got a lot of money there.
23:02Um, what's this about red wine that no one has said anything about?
23:07Anyone?
23:08I'm a bit confused because no one else seems to think that this red wine
23:12is something that we should be focusing on.
23:14Why have you ditched that?
23:15I don't know how we have managed to get so much fucking red wine.
23:18And all of a sudden, it's just me and James that are left here.
23:22Seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve.
23:25Right.
23:26To get all of the red wine that can potentially bring us money.
23:30Oh! You guys!
23:32Oh, my gosh, you guys are amazing.
23:33Yeah, this is my start to create a red.
23:35There's eleven. There's eleven.
23:36Oh, you're joking!
23:38We counted twelve.
23:39Was there twelve for a full crate?
23:41We'll go. We'll go back.
23:42We'll go back. We've got five minutes.
23:44Ah!
23:45Fair play to Jesse, though.
23:47Yeah.
23:48Go get it, Bo. You'll get it.
23:51Who left this here?
23:53I need to wax this.
23:55Where's everyone else, man?
23:56I smoked them.
23:57This is actually good for me,
23:58where I can step in and show these people
24:01that I'm in it to help the group.
24:02Whoa!
24:04You're gonna do the lap?
24:06I'll take it.
24:07Okay, go!
24:08There's people saying,
24:09oh, I can help, I can take it from here.
24:11I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
24:12I'm gonna be the person to get this last bottle.
24:20Come on, Daphne!
24:21Yay! Well done!
24:23Last one.
24:24What a chef, lad. Come on.
24:26Well done, buddy.
24:27Oh, he's wet through. Bless him.
24:29I'm gonna do it.
24:30I'm gonna do it.
24:31I'm gonna do it.
24:32Oh!
24:33Yay!
24:34Yay!
24:35Well done, everyone!
24:37Woo!
24:38Well done.
24:39Oh!
24:40What now?
24:41Not more!
24:42Please!
24:42You all right?
24:43You've completed your first request.
24:44Woo!
24:45Come on!
24:46It was fascinating.
24:47Some of you are more assertive than a Malbec.
24:50Others had more of a table wine quality.
24:53Nevertheless, the wine has been collected and I'll calculate how much you've earned.
25:00Now, later you face an important decision because collectively it'll be down to you to decide who gets that money, so who deserves it, or at least who thinks they have the skill to persuade their fellow players that they do.
25:20I do think I'm deserving of that money. I was in the lake, I was in the bottling area. I dipped my toes into every single little bit.
25:33I had a great team behind me. They all saw how hard I was working. My concern is that because other people didn't see it, they might not vote for me.
25:43Players, you may now re-enter the house. I'm sure you've got much to discuss.
25:48I just have to think on my feet, and if I can persuade those other players that I'm better than these people next to me, then I'm going to get my hands on that money.
26:04It's a day of firsts.
26:06You two look incredible tonight.
26:08Good to you.
26:09The first request, the first money released from the inheritance, and soon, the very first division ceremony.
26:17I 100% seen how hard you worked and would back you all the way.
26:21Yeah.
26:22My worry is that Jesse, he's going to be high in people's lists.
26:25I know that Jesse worked hard, but I'm here to be acknowledged for what I have done.
26:31So I think, whilst I've got this opportunity, I might as well go all in. No point playing it safe.
26:36Tonight, the 13 must decide who contributed most in the request.
26:40That player will become the first prime beneficiary, and will inherit all the money earned today.
26:46If you put yourself there, I'm not going to.
26:49If you put yourself there, you'll have my vote.
26:51OK.
26:57It's said that money changes people.
27:00We are about to find out just how much.
27:07Oh.
27:08Oh, my God.
27:09Oh, my God, guys.
27:10God, I'm so nervous.
27:12Let's see how the cookie crumbles.
27:13Oh.
27:20Time to light those fireworks.
27:23Let's face the music.
27:30I feel like what is fair is for me to be one of the people that are a contender.
27:36But there's probably going to be other people that think the same, and I might be overlooked.
27:40I'm thinking I could have a bit of an alliance with Matt.
27:45I can see that he is a strong player in this.
27:55I actually single-handedly earned quite a bit of the money.
27:58My concern is everybody else saw how hard Jesse and Matt were working.
28:02And I know it's going to be really difficult to convince the others as how hard I was working.
28:09If Zara puts herself forward for the money, this is going to really show people that she is not a team player and self-centered.
28:18I think it's going to come to blows tonight.
28:21I can feel a lot of tension in the room.
28:24I can't wait.
28:25I can't wait.
28:38Players, this is the division ceremony.
29:00In this room, you'll decide who will receive all of today's money.
29:06Today you successfully released £5,600 from the inheritance, which sits inside that money
29:17box.
29:18However, there was over £20,000 available to you today.
29:26Some of that wine is still on the bottom of the lake.
29:30Some of it you managed to bottle but left behind.
29:34£3,000 worth actually.
29:39But plus £5,600 is not to be sniffed at.
29:42Somebody here will get their hands on all of that money.
29:49To do so, those who think they contributed most must step forward as a claimant.
29:58The rest of you will become a jury.
30:02So, do you have the courage to stake your claim to the inheritance or not?
30:15Oh hell no.
30:18It is really brave to put yourself forward on day one and I am just not that brave.
30:27I need more time, don't we?
30:30Today, I feel like I am the most valuable player.
30:33Therefore, I am going to put myself in the spotlight.
30:36But I am feeling a bit nervous because I am thinking, what am I going to say?
30:41I am super confident.
30:46I am backing myself and I am hopefully going to get my hands on that box.
30:57I am looking at Jessie and Matt and my heart is sinking because everybody saw how hard
31:01they were working.
31:02I just hope people actually see that I did a lot.
31:17I cannot believe Zara is sat up there.
31:20The audacity, the absolute audacity.
31:26I contributed a lot, but because of how I got into a little bit of a fight with Tia,
31:31it is going to be a little uncomfortable for us both, but bring it on.
31:38Jessie, Matt, Emma and Zara, you are the claimants.
31:47The rest of you are now the jury.
31:51It is down to all of you to decide who you think should get the money.
31:58It may begin.
31:59Well, I think you should explain why you think you deserve it.
32:07Anyone want to start?
32:09I...I don't mind starting.
32:12Go on.
32:13Um, not a lot of you were there at the tasting part, so I am just going to have to explain
32:21kind of what I did there.
32:23It wasn't wine tasting like you thought and I had to physically use a manual drill to open
32:30the barrels.
32:32Myself and James also managed to get a whole crate of red wine in about ten minutes and
32:37brought it to the front of the house.
32:39The effort that you two must have gone to rush to get those done.
32:43I was dripping in sweat throughout that whole thing.
32:46We didn't have...we didn't have an entire crate.
32:49I'm going to interject there because there was a lot of wheels to what was going on here.
32:54Like I said, I appreciate not everyone was there to see how hard I was working, but I'm
32:59hoping that the amount of red wine that we arrived with would show that.
33:02Thank you, Emma.
33:03Jessie, why should you become a prime beneficiary?
33:06So, reason why I put myself forward...um, sorry, I was just going to...um, let me just try
33:16and regain my thoughts.
33:19Um...um, so, starting off, um, was one of the first people to get into the water.
33:29At the wine station, as soon as I got there, I saw all the wine bottles that we got from
33:34the lake were all still bottled.
33:36I un-bottled all of them by myself.
33:39I then helped transport the crates.
33:41That's when we then realised that all the wine bottles that we brought, we were one short.
33:47I'm here thinking, we need one more wine bottle.
33:50I'm going to sprint this.
33:51I try to run with you and give you support from afar.
33:55When I got my mind on something, I'm there putting it 100% into it.
33:59Yeah.
34:00The way I see it though, I think everybody did a brilliant job.
34:03But Matt was the key.
34:06None of us could have pulled that wine out of that pontoon.
34:10The weight of it...
34:11It was heavy.
34:12Without that, none of this.
34:15Hang on, can I interject please?
34:17Of course you can.
34:18You can't turn around and say, without the white wine there'd have been nothing
34:22because you needed the red wine as well.
34:25Credit to Emma.
34:27She never stopped.
34:28I didn't stop.
34:30Matt, it's over to you.
34:33Why should you become the prime beneficiary?
34:35Okay.
34:36Jesse, effort and productivity are two different things.
34:41My input was probably a little bit more beneficial to the group because had I not been in the
34:48positions in the water to get the majority of the wine, probably 75% of the wine, was down to me.
34:54I certainly myself was straight on to making the mix.
34:58And then it was back to fill up the red wine because that was just not where it should have been as well.
35:05So I was doing that as well.
35:06That was transportation and I was loading and quality assurance.
35:10I mean, every single part that I touched was the whole game.
35:15Without me, I don't think we'd have done as well in the task.
35:20Thank you, Matt.
35:22Zara.
35:23I feel like I'm showing off now by saying all the things that I did, but I mean, we're doing that.
35:27You have to. Everyone did.
35:28That's what we've done.
35:29I did so much.
35:31You don't even understand how much I did.
35:34So, us lake people, let's just say, we went into the lake.
35:38I've dipped my toes into every little single thing.
35:41I tried labelling, so I felt like everything was on me.
35:44Sorry, can I just interject?
35:46Yeah.
35:47I think there's a difference between doing something and doing something effectively.
35:51I think you actually hindered the labelling process.
35:54Interesting. I didn't realise that.
35:57What do you want to say?
35:58Do you want to just...
35:59When somebody is chatting out their arse, I have to stop them.
36:03Where we were there, you've done a maximum of three labels.
36:08If that's what you were, were you just standing there looking at me the whole time?
36:11No, because I was in the mix.
36:12What were you doing?
36:13You don't need to get so defensive at me.
36:15At the lake, Zara decided that she wanted to take one bottle of wine out of the thing each.
36:21And all we're saying is, Zara, stop.
36:22No, I've got witnesses.
36:23I took them out, you guys.
36:24I put them back in.
36:25Put them back in.
36:26Take them out.
36:27Okay, take them out.
36:28Okay.
36:29I didn't see Zara going to put the bottles back in once.
36:30I mean, have you got binoculars?
36:31Or have you got supersonic eyesight?
36:32I don't know.
36:33I have 20-20 vision.
36:34You wouldn't know because you're not optician.
36:35I did LASIK, honey.
36:36But yet you couldn't see us or hear what we were signing.
36:38I want to say, like, I'm a simpleton.
36:40Like, I'm just going to say it.
36:41So I can take orders easily, but like, you have to kind of make it connect the dots for me.
36:45No, but we were trying to, Zara, but you...
36:46I get it, but we were trying to explain, and then you told Tia to shut up.
36:49You wasn't trying to listen.
36:50Can I finish talking?
36:51Because I heard exactly what you just said.
36:53Now you're repeating it again.
36:54Yeah, because you said you're a simpleton, so I'm making it clear for you.
36:59Everybody else I've had contact with just got on with it.
37:02I can count on two hands, and I need some more, of how much time you came over to me.
37:07You enjoyed the Zara show, and you sitting at this position just shows how much of a selfish player you are.
37:12And here's the thing.
37:13Can I just say something to Tia?
37:15No, if you're going to cry, you pick to go in the...
37:17Can I not talk?
37:18Please!
37:19Please, please, please.
37:20Decorum, please.
37:21You shouldn't have put yourself there.
37:23Decorum, please.
37:24This is the deceased's house.
37:26Sorry.
37:27I'm sorry.
37:33That concludes this part of the division ceremony.
37:37Members of the jury, it's now for you to decide who you think should be the prime beneficiary.
37:43How you arrive at your decision is up to you as a group.
37:46Claimers, let us leave and await the decision of the jury.
37:51I've never seen crocodile tears like that in my life.
38:00Those were on cue.
38:01Crocodile tears.
38:02Can I suggest that we start literally and go around each person and say what we feel?
38:12Then we can make a decision.
38:13And put our hands up who we would pick.
38:15And go with a majority vote, is everyone happy with that?
38:17Let's do that.
38:18This is a diplomatic society.
38:19Okay.
38:20Why don't we start with Zara then?
38:25Zara had quite a lot to say there.
38:29I think there was a lot of running around looking busy and not really being busy.
38:32Yeah, I was going to echo that.
38:33I can't.
38:34I personally can't vote for it.
38:36The looking busy bit.
38:37She wanted to make up for what was lost to the lake.
38:39She knew what she was doing.
38:41I've got to talk for Emma.
38:44There was only four of us.
38:46So the rest of you have no idea what that girl did.
38:50She put everything into it.
38:52The red kids have been sold alone.
38:53The white couldn't have.
38:54So I think she was a really crucial cog in the wheel.
38:58Everyone who's down at the wine cellar have all been pushing for Emma.
39:02So I'm really hoping Emma will actually be able to get this.
39:07Shall we move on to Jessie?
39:09Perfect.
39:11Jessie gave a really good performance.
39:13He was absolutely incredible doing a little triathlon of his own.
39:17Yeah.
39:18The only reason I've not put myself up was because of Jessie's behaviour
39:21and how he brought us together as a team.
39:23It's weird because I don't see that.
39:25It's more in my interest to form an alliance with Jessie.
39:28If I can support him, he can support me too.
39:31Jessie was brilliant.
39:34To me, Matt held it together.
39:38We were all cogs and he was a king.
39:41I do feel like he worked hard.
39:43If we didn't have Matt, we wouldn't have had...
39:46I agree.
39:47...hardly any of that wine.
39:49I saw what Matt did today.
39:51He absolutely gave it everything.
39:59So, guys, hands high.
40:01Would anyone like to pick Zara?
40:03I did buttheads with Tia.
40:08Possibly Hafsa.
40:10Which I hope I'm not going to regret.
40:12You, Tia?
40:13Yeah.
40:18Thoughts for Emma.
40:22Right now, I feel sick.
40:24I've really put myself on the line to get Prime Beneficiary
40:28and maybe I didn't put myself across as best I could.
40:33Who's voting for Jessie?
40:34Put your hands up.
40:35It's the first one and I've messed up.
40:41I feel like now there's no chance that it's going to be me.
40:47Hands up if you're voting for Matt.
40:50I feel confident.
40:51I impressed the jury.
40:53So, you know, I'm thinking I'm nailed on to get it.
40:56So, we've come to a decision.
41:02Let's do this.
41:26Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, have you reached a decision?
41:38Yes.
41:39Yes.
41:40Very well.
41:43This person is about to inherit every single penny in that box.
41:56The jury has chosen Jessie as Prime Beneficiary.
42:17OK.
42:18Well done, Jessie.
42:21I guess I don't know what to say.
42:23Jessie, you've inherited £5,600.
42:26That's a lot of money.
42:27It's now time to go to the strong room.
42:31Here, in private, you've got a very big decision to make.
42:37Under the terms of the will, you may keep all the money.
42:40You've got a very big decision to make.
42:44Under the terms of the will, you may keep all the money.
42:48You've got a very big decision to make.
42:51Well, you may keep all of that money.
42:57Or gift as much as half to the jury.
43:04If he was being smart, he would divide some amongst the jury
43:08to bring some people on side.
43:10I think it's only right that if the jury is giving you the opportunity
43:14to be the Prime Beneficiary, that you thank and reward them for that.
43:19Matt.
43:21Emma.
43:23And Zara.
43:24As a failed claimants, you cannot be gifted any money tonight.
43:29I'm getting nothing, like nothing at all, for all that hard work I've put in.
43:35I'm so disappointed.
43:39But it is high risk, high reward.
43:44Jesse, please collect the inheritance and come with me to the strong room.
43:49Well done, Jesse. Well done, mate.
43:51The rest of you are free to leave.
43:53See you guys in a bit.
43:54I just hope that he does the right thing.
44:13So, what do we think Jesse is going to do?
44:15If he's going to keep it all, or...?
44:17Zara, you and I, unfortunately, we're out of this one.
44:19It's really put a twist in it, hasn't it?
44:26I'm feeling like the man right now.
44:31Today, I came on top.
44:41Jesse, welcome to the strong room.
44:45This is where the deceased stored her wealth, and it'll now be where you store yours.
44:50Come on! Yes!
44:53You've inherited £5,600 from the will.
44:57You've got a decision to make.
44:59You may gift up to half of it to any of the members of the jury.
45:03You can, of course, decide to keep it all.
45:06But before you make your choice, I've got a message from the deceased.
45:14Good evening, darling. Congratulations!
45:15It looks like you are the first here.
45:16You won't be the last, though, so don't go popping my vintage champagne just yet.
45:32You now have to decide what is fair.
45:38You may be one of those even-Steven kinds of people.
45:41Heaven forbid.
45:43Or, like me, you may think what's mine is, well, mine.
45:48What's it to be, darling?
45:51Are all players created equal, or are some more equal than others?
45:56Ciao for now.
45:58£5,600 on the table.
46:03That's a lot of money. That's a lot of money. That's a lot of money!
46:07Now, Jesse, whether you choose to disclose what happens in this room is entirely up to you.
46:14Understood.
46:15You can keep it all.
46:17I'll gift up to half of it to members of the jury.
46:19He could literally come back and see he's shared the money between all of us.
46:23How do we know if he's telling the truth?
46:24I came in dead set on voting for Jesse.
46:28I was putting forward a really valid argument, so I'm hoping that he is going to share some of his money with us.
46:37If he takes all the money tonight, pretty much going forward, it's going to be every man for himself in this game.
46:43Jesse's going to be the person that sets the tone for the rest of us.
46:49That's actually my name! That's it!
46:52Look, have a smell.
46:55It is a lot of responsibility and a lot of power as well.
47:01But what's fair was good for myself.
47:05It's now time to decide.
47:07At the end of the day, the game is a game.
47:12This decision will change everything.
47:13I may be dead, but I'm not done.
47:14Guys, there's £10,000 online. So far, we're going to get about a tenner.
47:29Good evening, old fashioned.
47:30Oh!
47:32Zara, come on, you need to really get involved here.
47:35Come on now.
47:37Remember to be the best, or at least make others think you are.
47:41If one of us puts ourselves up, nobody else.
47:43There's an alliance. They are pouring the money into their own team.
47:47Welcome to the division ceremony.
47:48Not everybody's being truthful.
47:50What? It's true.
47:52I pretty much don't want anyone for the rest of the game.
47:54We have a snake in the room.
47:56Scandalous!
47:57I've at least never intended this game to be so fair and so lovely.
48:02Are you being dramatic to make yourself centre of attention?
48:05I never require attention. It comes to me naturally.
48:08The person you collectively appoint will have control over the £100,000
48:13which of these players will be cut from the will.
48:17Fair in a game like this, it's not worth the paper it's written on.
48:20I know it's nothing to do with anything, but Rob Rinder's tailoring is on point.
48:28See more tomorrow at nine.
48:30Now, something else that's brand new.
48:32Honestly, can't move for all the newness around here.
48:34The Bake Off's back. That starts Tuesday at eight.
48:37Next, tonight, and also new, the jury, Australia.
