10:25During a Council of Ministers meeting in the city of Bogotá, Petro questioned the U.S. government's announcement that Colombia had been certified as a key ally in the fight against drug trafficking, highlighting his administration's work against drug cultivation.

13:54Welcome back.
13:55A recent report by the United Nations accuses Israel of committing genocide for its attacks on the Gaza Strip following almost two years of aggression against the Palestinian people.
14:06The UN concludes that, based on statements by Israeli officials and evidence on the ground, genocide is being committed with the intention of totally or partially destroying the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
14:18The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory declared Prime Minister Banyarin Tanjahu,
14:25former Defense Minister Joab Gallant and President Isaac Herzog responsible for crimes against Gaza.
14:31In this scenario, despite the evidence referred to by the UN, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the accusation as false and demanded the dissolution of the Investigation Commission.
14:40So it's a two year work. It's not just something we made up now. And as we set out all the facts and we looked at videos, footage, we talked to experts, we talked to doctors, witnesses, children.
15:00After that massive investigation, we are, of course, the only UN body that is authorized to investigate.
15:09We're not allowed inside Israel. So we had witnesses come out to us.
15:14So that's just a little bit about our methodology.
15:17So much of this evidence, by the way, was posted by Israeli soldiers themselves.
15:23They were very proud of what they'd done.
15:25And you can hear it there. They've been instructed to shoot.
15:28You see anyone and you shoot them because they're not supposed to be there.
15:33And this message coming from the head of state, the president saying it's the whole population of Palestinians who are in Hamas.
15:44That kind of message sent to the military means that they are killing indiscriminately and violating international law.
15:53And on Monday, the Israeli army launched its grand offensive to take the Palestinian city of Gaza, located in the north of the Strip, with its tanks advancing slowly after a series of intense airstrikes.
16:07The onslaught has forced some 300,000 people to flee the urban center, which in mid-August was home to about a million Palestinians.
16:15As a result of these new attacks, Palestinian health authorities reported that at least 68 people have been killed across Gaza since Stone on Tuesday alone.
16:24As the total death toll since the start of the Israeli aggression in October 2023 now stands at 64,905 people, with 164,926 wounded.
16:34Moreover, health authorities in Gaza warned the devastating figures could be higher as they are struggling to rescue those still trapped on the rubble from collapsed buildings.
16:45In this context, more than 3,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced to al-Mawasi in the Rafa Covinerate, which has been described as a concentration zone.
16:57The area located along the southern coast of the Gaza Strip lacks basic services, including water, healthcare, and food, with health authorities warning of the rapid spread of diseases due to overcrowding.
17:08Palestinians are being forced to flee their homes to escape the aggression by the Israeli occupation forces, who continue bombing residential buildings and shelters in clear violation of international law and humanitarian rights.
17:23The Iranian government published its comments on the final declaration of the Extraordinary Islamic Arab Summit regarding Israeli aggression against Qatar and Palestine.
17:34The Iranian Foreign Minister reiterated its condemnation of Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, considering that the establishment of two states does not represent a permanent solution to the problem.
17:45It affirms that the only option is to establish a unified democratic state through a referendum that includes all Palestinians inside and outside the occupied territories.
17:54The Iran recognized the contributions of the governments of Qatar and Egypt in brokering a permanent ceasefire in the region.
18:00And U.S. Secretary of State Marcos Rubio visited Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday and met with the countries ruling Emir Sheikh Tamir bin Ahmad al-Tani.
18:14At the gathering, Rubio vouched for Qatar to continue its role as a mediator to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
18:20This despite last week's Israeli strike against the Palestinian resistance movement negotiating a team while in Doha for talks.
18:27In this context, U.S. President Donald Trump assured on Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not attack Qatar again, even though Netanyahu himself did not rule out new attacks, as he stated on an earlier meeting with Rubio in Jerusalem.
18:42Qatar has labeled Tel Aviv a creation as a Carolian treasurer's attack, stated it wouldn't deter it from its role as a mediator for a ceasefire.
18:49And on Tuesday, hundreds of people attended the funeral services for 31 reporters killed in Israeli air strikes last week in Yemen.
19:08People gathered at Alshab Mosque in Sana'a to pay their respects to the slain reporters.
19:14The Israeli strike last Wednesday hit civilian and residential areas, including homes in the capital's Al-Tahrir neighborhood, a medical facility and a government compound.
19:23Since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemeni forces have maintained military operations against the occupation forces in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
19:38And on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at court to continue his testimony in the ongoing corruption trial.
19:47During the trial, Netanyahu will respond to charges of fraud, breach of trust and for accepting bribes in three different cases.
19:54Filed by former Attorney General Abishai Mandelbit in 2019, the cases are considered the most serious corruption charges ever brought against a Syrian Israeli Prime Minister
20:03and also marked the first time an Israeli leader in office testified as a defendant in a criminal trial.
20:09For his part, the Prime Minister has denied all allegations, calling the cases part of a political witch hunt.
20:15has a hitchhiking death.
