The story of the Mongols begins with myth and history intertwined — a blue wolf and a fallow doe, from whom the great tribes were born. On the harsh and barren steppes of Mongolia, survival meant endless tribal conflict, but a single man would rise above the chaos: Temujin.

In this mission, we witness the birth of a legend. Temujin’s vision is simple yet audacious: unite the fractured Mongol tribes, find new pastures for their herds, and channel their warrior spirit toward conquest. No longer fighting as scattered warriors, but as a unified army fighting for the glory of Mongolia.

This is the first step on the path to world domination, as Temujin takes on the mantle of Genghis Khan, the Great Khan.

⚔️ What to Expect in This Mission:

Uniting rival tribes under Temujin’s banner

The struggle for survival on the harsh Mongolian steppe

The transformation from warrior bands into a disciplined army

The rise of Genghis Khan and the dawn of Mongol conquest

00:00A blue wolf took as his spouse a fallow doe.
00:14They settled at the head of the Onan River to raise their offspring, and there were born the Mongols.
00:21So begins my life's work, the secret history of the Mongols.
00:25I have been selected to compose this epic because great events are about to take place.
00:31We are going to leave Mongolia.
00:34I have lived always on this frigid dry and endless steppe.
00:38The tribes here squabble like vultures fighting over the desiccated corpse of a marmot.
00:44We fight over limited resources, scarce water, few trees, sparse grass for our herds to graze on.
00:52A wise and dangerous man named Temuchin means to change all this.
00:57He says that if the tribal conflict is to end, the Mongols require but two things.
01:03First, we need green pastures for our herds.
01:07With more to go around, there will be less competition among the tribes.
01:11Second, we are a nation of warriors.
01:14We need a common enemy with which to do battle.
01:17To meet both these needs, Temuchin has come up with the most modest of schemes.
01:22To unite the tribes and go to war with anyone who stands in our path.
01:27How, we ask him, how can nomadic horsemen in felt tents embark on a campaign of world conquest?
01:35Temuchin replies that we will fight not as warriors, but as a unified army.
01:40We fight not for our glory, but for the glory of Mongolia.
01:46And with those words, the name of Temuchin has passed almost into obscurity.
01:51His name is replaced with a title.
01:54Great Khan.
01:55Genghis Khan.
01:57Behold, the horde of Genghis Khan approaches.
02:17You men, you will visit each of the outlying tribes.
02:32You must convince as many as you can to join our glorious army.
02:37But beware the Karakitai.
02:39They are without honor.
03:10We will follow you if you can prove to us that you are favored by the gods.
03:20Bring to us a holy relic.
03:40Winter has been hard and our warriors are hungry.
03:50Bring us 20 sheep and we will join you.
03:53If you are injured, our mugs can heal you.
04:10Winter has been hard and our warriors are hungry.
04:40Winter has been hard and our warriors are hungry.
05:10Winter has been hard and our warriors are hungry.
05:18Winter has been hard and our warriors are hungry.
05:29Winter has got록了.
10:06Thank you, great Khan.
10:13We will honor our word by providing you with these soldiers.
10:16Okay, man.
10:55Thank you, man.
11:37Thank you, man.
11:46Thank you, man.
12:16Thank you, man.
12:17Thank you, man.
12:22Thank you, man.
12:52Thank you, man.
12:59Thank you, man.
15:34Well, we will ride with you.
15:36You have found one in bringing to us this artifact.
15:56We will ride with the Great Khan.
16:08Four Mongol tribes now follow the banner of Genghis Khan.
16:12The rest of the world will soon know a true fear.
16:16Nearly all of the Mongol tribes have united under the Great Khan.
16:36The cheptains of those tribes reluctant to join were boiled alive.
16:41Each day new faces have taken up the bow.
16:45Unfamiliar hands hold the nine bands of yak hair that has become Genghis's standard.
16:50There are more men and horses gathered in the camp than I ever knew existed.
16:55Horse archers and lancers, men in leather cuirass and silk armor all lift their heads upward to the platform from where Genghis speaks.
17:05The Great Khan calls himself the punishment of God.
17:10Men smile like hungry wolves.
17:13It is dawn of the first day of the Mongolian Empire.
