00:00Fitness influencer Daisy Keach is facing viral backlash after she posted tributes to conservative
00:04commentator Charlie Kirk, who was killed last week. Keach, who is reportedly a founding member
00:10and early investor in TikTok's Hype House, first rose to fame as part of the California-based
00:14Creative Collective and now has over 5.1 million Instagram followers. Now the New York Post reports
00:20the 26-year-old influencer has received hate comments for Charlie Kirk Memorial Post. The
00:25clips in question were shared in now expired Instagram stories and reportedly included footage
00:30of Kirk with a caption stating Daisy was quote at such a loss for words. She also thanked the right
00:35wing activist for quote everything you've done for the youth of our country and ended her post by
00:40calling on her audience to pray for the Kirk family. And while some praised Daisy's quote courage to
00:45openly mourn the passing of Charlie Kirk, not everyone agreed. Comments quickly flooded the
00:50influencer's page accusing Daisy of selective empathy, pointing out she hadn't posted about
00:54other major events, including the murder of George Floyd or the war in Gaza. Some even mocked the
01:00influencer for bringing up religion, stating she had never mentioned God until now. And others were
01:05confused on how Daisy could support someone quote against LGBT, considering her choice of content on
01:10her OnlyFans account. Since the storm of backlash, Daisy has reportedly responded calling the hate quote
01:17sick and writing, if you are rejoicing the death of a father and husband, I pray for your soul. If you
01:22disagree or shocked by my beliefs, that is okay. There doesn't need to be any hate, just unfollow.
01:28Despite the backlash, her follower count has stayed steady, adding new followers, many of them
01:33Kirk supporters, quickly filling the comments with messages of support. Daisy's post highlights how
01:38quickly online reactions can swing from praise to backlash and how new audiences can step in just as
01:44fast. But what's your take? Share your thoughts and follow us everywhere at What's Trending.
