00:00Man, did I have a fun night
00:01Saturday night watching that boxing. God, it was
00:04good. That Terrence
00:06Crawford, dude, he's so good.
00:08I was just, I
00:09really just, you know, you always say
00:12appreciate greatness. He's so
00:13great. He's so great. Like when
00:16the guy who has pretty
00:18much beat everybody standing in front
00:19of him can't get a hand on
00:22him. And
00:24we've now said this
00:25about two guys.
00:28Errol Spence. And we kind
00:30of know what Errol Spence went
00:31through, you know, with the accident
00:34or whatever.
00:35Errol Spence went through a lot, but he was still, I mean, still Errol Spence.
00:38Right. But
00:39to say Errol Spence
00:41and what he
00:43did to Canelo with
00:45two guys who
00:47could not touch him.
00:50It's, he's a bigger
00:51Floyd Mayweather. It's crazy.
00:54He's so tactical
00:55and he picks his point and
00:57it's funny because we were talking
00:58yesterday and I
01:00said, he does this
01:01thing where for like three
01:03or four rounds,
01:04he doesn't really do much
01:06or anything. It's almost
01:07like he's plotting his
01:08course. And then you come out
01:10for like the middle to
01:11the end of the thing. And
01:12it's like, oh,
01:13here he is.
01:15Well, here's the thing I would say
01:16it's different with him and
01:16Floyd. And this is, and
01:18this is interesting because Canelo
01:19said after the fight, he was
01:20asked specifically, he said,
01:21who's better.
01:22And he said, Terrence
01:24Crawford's way better than
01:25Floyd Mayweather.
01:26And I was like, whoa,
01:28that's something because
01:30Terrence didn't exactly give
01:31Canelo his flowers.
01:32He said like some lightweight
01:33back a few fights, uh, was
01:36a, was a harder puncher than
01:37Canelo Alvarez. Now Canelo
01:38to his credit, he's just like,
01:39I didn't even hit him clean.
01:40Like that's part of it.
01:41Right. Um, but
01:43Canelo's like, Terrence
01:44Crawford's way better.
01:45And I thought about this
01:47afterwards and I don't know
01:48what the answer to that is
01:49because obviously Floyd is
01:50great, but I will tell you
01:52there's a couple of things.
01:54One, the big difference that
01:57Floyd will always have is
01:58Floyd got out away from Bob
02:01Arum and top rank and was
02:02able to do things from a
02:04money standpoint, uh, that
02:06gave him a freedom and put
02:07himself on a different
02:08pedestal than Terrence
02:10Crawford was ever able to.
02:11He was a little bit in this
02:12promotional fog for so many
02:14times and he just couldn't
02:15take on the best guys in the
02:17world because all the
02:17welterweights and all the
02:19light, which were kind of
02:20box into another promotion.
02:21So that really slowed a lot
02:23of his exposure, basically
02:24the Tyson thing with Tyson
02:25was talking about as far as
02:27right clicks and making money
02:30and it wasn't about box, but
02:32I'll tell you this, dude, he's
02:34undisputed in three different
02:36weight classes and he went up
02:37to one 68 that needs to be
02:41like in history.
02:43Floyd's great.
02:44I'm not taking anything away
02:45from Floyd's greatness.
02:46Okay.
02:47And even Terrence didn't want
02:48to do that.
02:48He said, flow, give me the
02:49grace in his, but I'm telling
02:51you right now, what he did
02:54was so impressive to go from
02:57a guy at one 40 up to one 68
03:02at one little one 54 fight.
03:04And by the way, not against
03:04the bum took out Madrimov to
03:06do that, man, that's, that's
03:10something that, and he's, and
03:12he is, that dude's a shark
03:14like Floyd, he'll embarrass
03:15you.
03:16He'll make you look stupid in
03:17a fight, but he ain't a shark
03:18when he comes into the ring.
03:20Like Terrence Crawford's coming
03:22to hurt you.
03:23And I think, I think that's
03:25just, just for me.
03:28No, I think that's, I think
03:30that's a separator for me.
03:31I can't disagree.
03:32I would, I would say like, and
03:36here's, you think he'll go
03:38back down?
03:40He said he didn't go for one
03:41before.
03:42He said he's not doing well.
03:44I kind of feel like he's going
03:45to rematch it and call it a
03:47career.
03:48That's what I think.
03:48My thing is, because remember
03:49Roy Jones was one of the best
03:52boxers I ever saw.
03:54And he went up.
03:56Yep.
03:56And the worst thing that
03:57happened was he won the
03:58heavyweight.
03:59It was light heavyweight.
04:00Or was it heavyweight or light?
04:01No, he won the heavyweight.
04:02And then he, and then he,
04:03and then he went back down
04:05and he never looked the same.
04:07Nope.
04:07And, and that's, that's what
04:09I'm, that's, I'm wondering
04:10if something like that could
04:13happen.
04:13Because if it, if that didn't
04:14happen, then I would say,
04:16oh my goodness.
04:18Because I thought when, when
04:20Roy Jones went up and wait
04:22and won the heavyweight
04:23championship, I was like,
04:25holy smokes, what do we have
04:27here?
04:27Then he went back down.
04:29Dude was never the same.
04:31I had a, I, it was, I was
04:32just very impressed with
04:33him.
