00:00Here we go on another urban wildlife dog cart ride. I don't know what else to call these things.
00:09With Cade, my Australian Shepherd, who's six months old I think now, and Sarge, my three-year-old German Shepherd.
00:17I was just out looking at all the wildlife we could stand.
00:22As you can see, the moon is high. I wonder how many things we're going to see tonight.
00:28My neighborhood is located next to an animal preserve in Longwood, Florida.
00:36Or is it reserve? Preserve makes it sound like jelly.
00:47Well, here we go. We've got a gaggle of deer. I know they're not called gaggle, but when you do your video, you can call them anything you want.
00:58If you haven't guessed, I took out all the boring bits.
01:09Otherwise, you'd see us just driving around looking at nothing but people flashing their lights at me because I have my top lights on.
01:18Now I turned around and now you can see what the other side of deer look like.
01:32Two women standing on the sidewalk talking said,
02:00Hi, puppy. And now Cade's all excited wagging his tail.
02:07Now he's looking to see if there's any more.
02:10See, I turned my top lights back on.
02:20Well, it doesn't seem to be anything on this road.
02:33That guy back there had his garage door open.
02:41I've seen so many bears go into garages, open up the refrigerator or freezer and take food out and walk out and go eat it on the grass.
02:49Here comes some deer on the right.
02:56There's people, a carload of people, sitting there having their own safari.
03:02Now this is a family of bear in my yard.
03:17I took it off my security camera.
03:20I mean, really, it's a wildlife camera.
03:24People wouldn't dare come in my yard because there's bears in it all the time.
03:30Here's a mother, her three babies.
03:33Typically, the babies go up in the tree and sleep until daylight.
03:37And the mom sits at the base of the tree and looks out for danger.
03:44Sometimes she goes up there and sleeps with them.
03:47On more than one occasion, the mom leaves and two of the bears follow her and one doesn't wake up.
03:55And she comes back later for him when she hears it crying for its mommy bear.
04:08Up here on the right, you'll see some more deer laying in the yard.
04:12Or one deer.
04:14Okay, up on the right, you see one deer that was laying in the yard and he buggered off.
04:20Look, there's a deer and a rabbit together.
04:46There's that moon again.
04:47I've noticed that the deer only sleep or eat the grass that have the good grass.
04:57I get a lot of deer in my yard, but they're for acorns.
05:01They're never there to eat the grass.
05:03I think some of them have been complaining to the HOA.
05:19Here's a mother and her yearling.
05:22They don't know that there's a bunch of old people that live on this road and teenagers.
05:26Or they wouldn't be nonchalantly walking across the road.
05:33To finish the night off, we pull into my driveway and we see a rabbit, not knowing where to go.
05:38I just don't know where to go, he says.
05:45And here's Kate and Sarge, home in bed, and waiting for me to snuggle in next to them.
05:52So good night, thank you for watching, and we'll see you next time.
