00:00I had great concern being as the from having born I've been born and raised here the people
00:14that live here are very I think self-sufficient and I think our military and and people that we
00:20have here are very capable of taking care of what's going on here in Memphis without any
00:25outside intrusion
00:35everyone has been affected by the crime that's here but it's just not in Memphis it's all over the
00:39nation in the world and so I think everyone is concerned everybody want to live in a place where
00:46they can be safe and they can walk the streets and not have to worry about being hurt or harmed
00:55I think it's highly unnecessary but I mean I don't really think it's gonna stop shit either though
01:06I'm gonna just be honest this is Memphis we talked about
01:14hey ignorant I don't think he stepped foot in Memphis for real understood what's really going
01:20on out here he was just living for it for real it's not oh we need to get this under control or
01:26whatever the fuck the case may be with him it ain't nothing to get under control it's just the city
01:30we said it's the city we stay in
01:39and this is to make a statement that he is in charge to intimidate citizens sure we have crime here
01:49however it is the mayor decision to call in for a national guard
02:00my first thought is is it going to be effective how can they be everywhere all the time crime in
02:12Memphis isn't concentrated into one area it is the entire city of Memphis the whole city and surrounding
02:21in areas, Germtown, Carlyville, Barlet, all those areas.
02:25It's everywhere.
02:33I got some mixed thoughts about it because, for one thing,
02:37it's like you're finna bring them over here to make this a war zone
02:43or something like we're overseas somewhere,
02:45like they do when they go to war.
02:47That's what they do when they send troops to the war.
02:51That's the time, like, dehumanizing us, his own people.
02:56Why would he do that?
02:57To get other people out of this country?
03:00Those people have had, most of those people,
03:03they'd probably be over here illegally,
03:05but those people have built a foundation in this country.
03:09I'm concerned about the crime, surely, and the gangs.
03:22But you got to understand, you can't put everything on the gang,
03:26because it ain't just on the gang.
03:27You got people out here that are law enforcement officers
03:30that are committing crimes, too.
03:32You got people that are politicians here in Tennessee,
03:37not just in Memphis, but all across Tennessee, committing crimes.
03:41So you can't just put it on the people from the poor neighborhoods,
03:46because most gangsters are from poor neighborhoods.
03:50And the reason we got more gangsters in poor neighborhoods
03:53because we don't have the community built
03:56for everybody to get together and help each other.
03:59All people want to do is walk around with their guns right now
04:03and be like somebody else.
