00:00But Shane, earlier we did see Donald Trump, and I felt today that he looked like he was grieving.
00:06He was very close to Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk was a man who visited the White House a lot,
00:13had a lot to do with the Donald Trump administration as a whole, and helping the Trump administration.
00:20But the big questions, and everyone is asking these questions, America, right now,
00:25is America at a tipping point after this political assassination of such a big figure?
00:33Yeah, he's a huge figure, and I'm not really, I don't agree with a lot of his politics.
00:41But I did decide, after I thought a lot about it, to look up online, and I saw the video that, you know,
00:47it's sort of available everywhere of the actual incident when he died, and it is really, really quite shocking.
00:52And a lot of it was sort of fuzzed out. And I think the reason I did that is because you want to kind of remember,
00:57at the end of the day, even if you don't agree with any of his politics, it's still a man at the end of the day,
01:02and it's a father and a son, and he has a wife, Erica, and as Donald Trump said,
01:06he's got a one-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter.
01:09And I think that's what people need to remember at the end of the day,
01:13even if you completely 100% disagreed with every single thing he said on sort of race, abortion,
01:18and everything that he spoke about. It's still a man whose life has been taken.
01:22And I thought there was a really, really great interview that was with Kim Leadbeater,
01:27who's a British MP, and she's also the sister of Jo Cox, who was a British MP,
01:33who was murdered in sort of political circumstances almost a decade ago.
01:37And you kind of think that was a decade ago in the UK,
01:40and if anything, the UK and the world has gotten even more divisive and has gotten worse since.
01:45So while I would like to think that this is a tipping point
01:48and people will sort of stop and think and sort of humanize these people,
01:53the sort of history shows that they probably won't,
01:57and I think that's the unfortunate thing.
02:00And the problem, I think, is that, yes, you were right that Donald Trump looks like he's grieving,
02:05and he described him as a friend and a hero and various sort of accolades,
02:10and he's now getting this presidential medal.
02:12But I think there needs to be a mass de-escalation of the tensions that are in America,
02:18and that needs to come from the top, and that needs to come from Donald Trump.
02:21But if you look at, I looked at his Oval Office statement,
02:24and he was still talking about how violence and murder are the tragic consequences
02:29of demonizing those who you disagree with, and he is 100% right on that.
02:33But the problem is that Donald Trump doesn't adhere to what he's just said,
02:38and he went on then to talk about the radical left.
02:41And I think if we want to have a proper tipping point in America,
02:44it needs to come from the top of the administration.
02:47There needs to be a massive de-escalation of tensions between the so-called left and right,
02:52and just remember that the left and right, they're both human beings.
02:55And I think there was a great quote that came from Kim Ledbetter,
03:00where she said that you can't replace tough conversations with violence.
03:05And I think that is the word of the day, and I think it needs to come from Donald Trump.
03:10And if he really wants to get a Nobel Peace Prize, this is the opportunity to step up
03:14and get peace in his own country, and sort of get everybody who's both on the left and the right
03:20to just sort of see the human on the other side, that is the big step.
03:27And I'm not entirely sure, going on what he said so far, that he's going to do that.
