00:00Saying that, Johnny, there has been a little bit of a change in the hierarchy, so to speak.
00:06Yeah, Mark Miles departed earlier this week.
00:08Someone who some Albuy fans may not know an awful lot about,
00:11but had been at the club for a long, long time, since 2003.
00:15He was a director, kind of worked his way up to various roles.
00:18He was managing director a few years ago and stepped into the chief executive breach
00:23when Ron Gawley departed Albuy in the depths of the lie era,
00:27or the very end of the lie era.
00:30And steadied the club through some pretty choppy waters.
00:34Albion fans have probably got a lot to kind of maybe thank Miles about,
00:39because he played a hand in Shillam Patel becoming interested in Albion.
00:44Shillam Patel has talked about it in his statement,
00:46kind of sold the club to Patel and sold the vision of Albion to him.
00:53Yeah, he is stepping down and moving on.
00:56There's an interesting line in the statement as well, which I'm not sure some Albion fans may have seen,
01:01but he said Albion will confirm further changes to its organisational structure in due course,
01:07which is sort of reading between the lines there.
01:10There might be new roles, might not be a managing director coming in.
01:13I imagine it will be a chief executive being appointed.
01:16There hasn't been a kind of chief executive entitled since Gawley,
01:20who is now with Carlos Corbran at Valencia.
01:24Obviously, Mark Miles was assuming those roles, I think was the official line.
01:28But yeah, I imagine Albion will bring in a chief executive.
01:31And it'll be interesting to see who, because Albion are in a good position now.
01:36It's probably, if they do, if that is the change and they bring in a CEO,
01:40I'm not saying there's any truth in that at all.
01:42It would just be my sort of educated guess.
01:44But, you know, they're a club now that are quite an attractive proposition,
01:48you know, for someone to come in and have a real kind of impact with.
01:53So, you know, and obviously Bill Cull and Andrew Nester are very connected,
01:58whether they go and bring someone in who's worked in the US and in the M&A.
02:02Before, obviously, Nester's, a lot of Nester's history is in the US.
02:06Remains to be seen.
02:07But yeah, Mark Miles, you know, big thanks to him, I think, from Albion fans,
02:10because, you know, he kind of was having to hold the floor in a pretty tough time.
02:16But yeah, what's his face in terms of what happens next?
