00:00I just want to get my initial thoughts on Charlie and what we're seeing.
00:07Obviously, it doesn't look good.
00:09This is a guy with a four year old, a one year old, a family.
00:14I've known him since 2019.
00:16Yeah, you can hate his opinions.
00:19You can hate how he goes out and the rhetorical tactics he uses.
00:25But just to engage in balance, he's never done that.
00:29He's never advocated for any of that.
00:32And this has become the norm, it seems.
00:34President Trump was nearly killed twice.
00:37And I don't even, you know, I've known Charlie, let me say this.
00:44I've known Charlie to be an intellectual.
00:46I know like the left would be like, no, he's not, of course he's not.
00:48No, he is.
00:49He's one of the most well-read people that I've ever met.
00:53We have our disagreements.
00:54We have podcasts together where we debated on foreign policy, things like that.
00:58You know, and it's been a while since I've talked to him.
01:00But last time I did, I was calling because he had just recorded this amazing debate that he had with a socialist.
01:07And he did such an incredible job from an intellectual standpoint in a very good-natured, well-intentioned debate.
01:17And I said, Charlie, this is you at your best.
01:20And he said, thank you.
01:20You know, and I think that was the last time we spoke, you know, I'm just praying for his family, his beautiful wife.
01:30And I don't know her personally, but God, my heart goes out to you.
01:33And those kids who may never get to know their father if he doesn't survive this, that breaks my heart more than anything.
01:41I've seen it too many times with my own friends in the military.
01:44And I just, I just can't imagine that kind of heartbreak.
01:49So I said, look, prayers out to Charlie and his family.
01:55And this isn't about politics.
01:57This is just personal.
02:00You know, this is a family man, a father, husband, friend who's just sensibly killed.
02:07Oh, we've seen too many of these lately, haven't we?
