00:00Hello everyone, welcome to VQs and welcome to Red Bandali content. Now it's our VQ content really but it's the same thing.
00:09Now in the video I've got two videos on there to show you how to make this from absolutely nothing.
00:16Now there's two different ways you can make it, well there's all different ways you can make it.
00:21I'll show you the first way if you want to make it like that and I'll show you the second way just in case you want to make it from a template.
00:28So this is building the content from my templates. So if you don't like my templates then this is all you have to do.
00:35So if it's a template it's either blue or it's pink, I want to do that. So as I said I'll show you.
00:42If we go into Blender, here Blender, go here. I'm going to show you basically how easy it is to do the content.
00:51Just in case you're going to York, you're at school, you're at college, maybe you're at work, maybe you've got time, go here.
00:57I'm going to show you how easy it is.
00:59This is what we want to make, we want to make some levels like that. So we want to click the ladder over here.
01:04And if you can't want to turn it to the side. First of all, go into Blender, click this, go X, Y and Z.
01:11Sometimes at the top, sometimes at the bottom, it doesn't matter. You see here, minus 90, just turning like this.
01:18OK, and obviously it's going to ask 90, what I'll show you. When you move it, see here, change that, it's going to be X, Y, Z.
01:30OK, so just move it if you want to, and if you want to say it's absolutely accurate, just type 90 inside the box.
01:36Type 90 in there, and it will show you, see, like that. So I think, OK, put minus 90, put that, so we do it over there.
01:46It's not minus, it's 180. You can move it up like this. As I say, you can move it manually or you can do it however you want to do it.
01:54So it's entirely to you exactly how you want to do it. So I'll put it back. As I say, just put it back on the floor.
02:01As I say, I'm only giving you the idea exactly how to do it, so just in case you want to do it.
02:05So click on the ladder, click here, apply, transforms. Once you've done that, it goes to zero.
02:11And then, of course, all you want to do is move it up. As you can see here, just type 90, press enter, and now we've got a ladder that stands up.
02:20Great. But, we can only do that once we've got a ladder. How do you get that out of that?
02:28Well, that's pretty easy. Go here, edit. I'm showing you the tools in Blender, just so you understand it.
02:34OK, first of all, because we're making a ladder, and we know that we're making a ladder, because the video is about making a ladder.
02:41Go here, all of those, select all the first ones, and delete. Select all the second ones, and go delete.
02:48Now, you see the ones in the center. These ones here. You want to click those, and go delete.
02:55Now, if you hold the upper key, let's start with the keyboard, you can select all of these together.
03:00So, select these, select these, select these. Just keep doing that. All the way down.
03:06Right click, and go delete. OK, now we've got the skeleton for our ladder.
03:12Well, that was pretty quick. OK, watch how quick this is. OK, go here, select all this.
03:19OK, you can make them all individually and separate. Turn it to the side, look at your ladder.
03:23And obviously, you want to work out the thickness of the ladder. So, turn it to the side.
03:27If you zoom in, and look at the nose squares. The nose squares.
03:31My ladder is approximately one, two, three, and four across.
03:36So, it's going to be four wide. So, go back to your side view, and go to extrude.
03:42Zoom into your ladder. Take a look at it. And go, one, two, three, four.
03:50You can use the snapping tool if you want to. Now, if you look at that ladder, this is a very simple ladder.
03:56I think it did. Now, wasn't that really easy, and super great, super easy to make that?
04:02Of course, in the other video, I'll show you a different way of doing it.
04:05Well, I'm showing you both ways out. As I say, one is to make the model from the model,
04:10and the other model is to make the model from the template.
04:13As I say, it's up to you. So, you don't have to store the 3D ladder because of the data.
04:19Because you might want to keep your data a little bit small.
04:22Okay. All you want to do with this is you want to go to the ladder, select all of it.
04:26Come over to Blender. Go here. Go here. Scroll down. Just go down. Press weld. Go here.
04:33Weld all of it. You can't weld it because I'm in any mode. Go to object mode. Go here. Weld it.
04:39Now, all you want to do is go back to edit. Do like that. Go back to standard mode for a moment. Go back here.
04:47Set already to geometry. Okay. Now, if you want to, you can right click and you can basically go here.
04:54Snap. Cursor to active. So, the cursor is in the middle of that. It's not because the cursor is down there.
05:00But, for now, leave it there. I say, that's if you want to do that. I say, you don't have to do that.
05:05If you leave the cursor where it is, we can send that back over there after.
05:09It says, it's entirely up to you. As I say, we can just do that. And as I said, it just does that.
05:16So, anyway, just select the whole thing. You're going to go here and select all of these.
05:21Now, what you want to do is turn it to the side. Zoom in. Because we want to allow that to make it look really, really nice.
05:27I use the square as reference. And then what I do, see the other little finger in the middle of there?
05:32You want to go back to the bevel. Grab the little yellow dot and stretch it up. Just a tiny bit.
05:39Press this. Bevel two. You don't need any more than two. You can put three on it if you want to.
05:46Really, you don't need to do that. Now, the whole entire ladder is beveled.
05:51I'm thinking, how great and how easy is that? So, I'm thinking here.
05:57Now, honestly, if you click that ladder, because it's over here. So, click here. Say, snap the cursor.
06:05It says here to active. The cursor jumps back. And now, that's our origin point for our ladder.
06:12So, now we can just basically turn it around like this. We can get to rotate one.
06:17We can pull this out of here. We can look at this. Change it back to X, Y, and Z.
06:22This is making it look a bit more easy. Turn this. Press this one. Say, 90.
06:28So, now it goes perfectly straight. Now, we've got two ladders, I think, in here. We've got a brown one. And we've got a pink one.

06:40Because of my toothpaste. And shape it. As I said, if you want the whole entire thing. Template and all.
06:46You can have the whole entire thing. So, I'll show you. So, back here.
06:50All you do is download a template. You click the folder. Download it. You click the ladder. Bring it in.
06:56Of course, when it comes in. We don't want the ladder. We click here. And we delete the ladder.
07:02Because when you bring it in, all you've got is that. And I'm just showing you what you can make out of it.
07:07And if you decide, oh, I don't like the colour of those ladders. I want a different ladder.
07:12So, I think, okay. If you want a different ladder, click on the ladder. Look here. Just click the ladder itself. There's only one texture on it.
07:19Put a shield on it. Press this. Press this. Go into Live mode. So, you can see.
07:24When you press this, you can see the colour of it. Press this. Here. And we've got Blender Black.
07:29So, now we've got Blender Black ladders. Oh, thank you. How great is that?
