00:08Taiwan's leaders are gathering to discuss how to protect the nation's security.
00:12President Lai Qingde says Taiwan needs to prioritize resilience in a number of sectors.
00:30As an important leader of the world, Taiwan must increase the whole country's responsibility to ensure the safety of the nation's country and development.
00:42Lai also said Taiwan needs to prioritize securing the semiconductor supply chain, which Taiwan plays a central role in, as well as digital and communication security.
00:52He mentioned Taiwan's undersea cables, which connect the country to the rest of the world and have recently been damaged,
00:58with some experts warning of deliberate sabotage by China.
