00:08in London on Tuesday. According to Associated Press the leaders held joint remarks in which
00:13they emphasized the importance of NATO and the UK's support for Ukraine against Russian aggression.
00:20Starmer commended Ruta on his recent leadership in the annual NATO summit,
00:24which saw members of the alliance pledge to increase their defence spending.
00:27Both Starmer and Ruta highlighted the importance of security guarantees for future stability
00:33and named it as a continued priority.
00:57NATO emerged stronger, more united at the end of that summit with an absolutely clear plan on defence spend but also strategically where we needed to get to.
01:22So congratulations. I know from our discussions that getting all NATO members into the right place is a huge diplomatic exercise which you pulled off excellently.
01:35And then of course we've got discussions about Ukraine and our ongoing support.
01:39Together with President Macron, Emmanuel Macron of France, France, you took leadership on the coalition of Germany.
