The air fryer market has expanded rapidly in recent years, with dozens of brands promising healthier meals with less oil and faster cooking times. Among the top contenders are the Ninja Max XL 5QT and the Cosori TurboBlaze 6QT. Both are premium options, but they cater to slightly different needs. Let’s break down their strengths and weaknesses to see which one might be the best choice.
Design and Capacity
The Ninja Max XL 5QT has a sleek, sturdy build and is well-suited for small to medium families. Its 5-quart basket comfortably handles meals for up to three people, making it ideal for everyday use. On the other hand, the Cosori TurboBlaze 6QT offers a bit more room. Its larger basket is perfect for cooking bigger portions or entertaining guests, without sacrificing countertop space.
Performance and Technology
Where the Ninja shines is in its high heat power. It can reach up to 450°F, allowing for faster crisping and searing. The results are golden and crunchy, very close to deep-fried quality. However, the Cosori TurboBlaze introduces a new brushless motor technology, making it more energy-efficient and significantly quieter. While its maximum temperature is slightly lower than the Ninja’s, it compensates with even heat distribution and faster preheating.
Ease of Use
Both models feature intuitive digital controls, but the Cosori TurboBlaze has an edge with its wider selection of preset programs. These cover a range of foods—from chicken wings to desserts—making it beginner-friendly. Ninja’s interface is simpler, but some users prefer this streamlined approach. Cleaning is easy for both, as their baskets are nonstick and dishwasher-safe.
Extra Features
The Ninja Max XL is known for its durable construction and consistent performance. However, the Cosori adds modern touches such as quieter operation and slightly more cooking space. Cosori also includes thoughtful accessories and an app with guided recipes, which appeals to tech-savvy cooks.
Final Verdict
If you want maximum heat and fast crisping for smaller households, the Ninja Max XL 5QT is a reliable choice. But if you prefer larger capacity, quieter performance, and modern efficiency, the Cosori TurboBlaze 6QT comes out ahead. Ultimately, the “best” air fryer depends on whether you value power and simplicity (Ninja) or versatility and innovation (Cosori).

00:00Hello everyone, this is Just a Dad. Today I'm going to do a comparison between these two air fryers.
00:03On the left, I got the Ninja Max XL. It's a 5-quart model number AF141.
00:09On the right, I got the Kassori Turbo Blaze. It's a 6-quart.
00:14Now, its display is on top. I turned the lights off. It's got a really nice display.
00:18We've got turbo boost modes, broil, frozen. We've got reheat, preheat, dry, bake, proof, warm.
00:25We can do different temperatures. This does have five different fan speeds that's supposed to help with different types of cooking.
00:31Let's do air fry. You can see it's got an indicator that shows you where the fan speed is.
00:36We can change the temperature and simply just hit the start button when you're ready to start.
00:42Over here on the Ninja, simply turn it on. We've got air fry, roast, reheat, and dehydrate.
00:48We can change the temperature. These are more physical buttons.
00:51And we can change the time. Hit the start button, stop button, and it'll beep at us when it's done.
00:58Now, the Kassori, we've got to press this button to release this tray.
01:01The Ninja, we just pulled out.
01:03Okay, let's take a look. And then we're going to measure and see how these are.
01:06They both have a crisper tray. Make sure you leave these feet on.
01:09That's to help prevent from damaging the non-stick surface.
01:12Here's the Ninja. Again, it's got these little silicone. Leave those on.
01:16It's to prevent it from damaging the non-stick surface.
01:18Both of these trays are dishwasher safe.
01:23Nine and a quarter inches on the Kassori left to right.
01:26And front to back, nine and a half inches.
01:30So the Ninja's eight and a half inches left to right.
01:33It's a square, so it's eight and a half inches.
01:35Let's do depth-wise.
01:36The Ninja, three and a half inches.
01:38The Kassori is three and a half inches also.
01:42Okay, let's take the tray out.
01:44The Kassori is four and a half.
01:46And the Ninja is four and a quarter with the trays out.
01:50Let's take a look inside.
01:52Here's the Ninja.
01:53It's got a heating element and a fan above it.
01:56Over here, the Kassori, same thing.
01:57Heating element and a fan right above it.
02:00Here's what they look like around back.
02:01They both have an area that blow out hot air.
02:03So you've got to keep it away from the wall.
02:05Same with this one.
02:06Okay, let's cook some French fries in them and see how they do.
02:12I'm going to add a few more over here.
02:17Make sure they're nice and even.
02:19Okay, on the Ninja, I like it's got a little sticker here.
02:22We're going to do air fry, 350 for 21 minutes.
02:30And just hit start.
02:31Over here on the Kassori, let's do the same thing, 350.
02:38We're going to increase the time.
02:43Air fry and hit start.
02:45Oops, hit start again.
02:50Okay, let's pause the Ninja.
02:52So the Kassori is a little bit quieter.
02:55Okay, so it's been about five minutes.
03:06Let's take a look.
03:07You're going to want to make sure and shake these.
03:10Put it back.
03:11The Kassori, now it goes into pause mode automatically.
03:14It turns the fan off.
03:16But as soon as I put these back in, it turns it back on.
03:20Let's do a sound check again.
03:22Turn the Ninja off.
03:23There's just the Kassori.
03:26Let's turn the Ninja back on.
03:28And let's pause the Kassori.
03:32There's just the Ninja.
03:35Okay, coming up on the halfway point.
03:37Let's take a look.
03:40The Kassori might be just a little bit getting done quicker, but not much at all.
03:45Okay, so let's take a peek again.
03:49I do think the Kassori is cooking just a little bit quicker and maybe more evenly.
03:57But both of these look done.
03:59I'm going to call these done.
04:00Yeah, I like that the tray stays installed.
04:07Let's hit the power button here.
04:09Let's turn this one off.
04:10And let's dump out the Ninja.
04:13A little bit smaller tray.
04:14A little bit easier to handle.
04:16Again, both those trays are dishwasher safe.
04:21You just got to let them cool down first.
04:24Okay, so let's do a taste test.
04:25These are really, really hot right now.
04:28Here's the Kassori.
04:29Here's the Ninja.
04:30Okay, let's do a taste test.
04:37Okay, Kassori's really good.
04:40Now the Ninja.
04:41Well, they're both really good.
04:43Well, it's hard for me to tell a difference between these two.
04:49So I hope this video helps.
04:50Thanks, everybody, for watching.
