00:00Nine places we are number one in the world today, nine places.
00:06Number one, Chandrayaan one finding water molecule on the moon, along with India, every
00:16Indian it made proud, we are the two countries which found water molecule on the moon.
00:22And Mars Arbiter mission to go to red planet, 68 crore kilometer of year to travel.
00:27But you know, I think you all know, even though management experts, you know, little bit
00:31trigonometry, if you calculate with 0.1 degree error, when you travel 68 crore kilometer,
00:35where we will reach?
00:36We will not reach Mars, we will reach some other place.
00:40And we have perfectly gone and captured the satellite using a engine which was restarted
00:46after 295 days.
00:49And India is the only country, first country, till today successfully accomplished a Mars
00:54Arbiter mission in the first attempt.
00:56None of the developed country could do.
00:59And 1957, Russia placed the first satellite, Sputnik, in the orbit.
01:04And they placed using a single rocket, 37 rockets, satellites.
01:07And we debated in Trivandrum, we are all topists, but then the advanced countries are not really
01:12minding us.
01:13So how to get some attention or how to get world record?
01:16We debated and decided to place 100 satellites through a single rocket.
01:20Placing 100 is very easy, but then it should not hit each other.
01:23And dear brothers, I want to tell, India is the only country, rather first country, which
01:28crossed, placing 100 satellites through a single rocket for the first time.
01:33Through the PSLV in 2017, we were holding the record for a long time.
01:37And of course, today, America has placed more number of satellites.
01:40But then, if required, we can place even 200 satellites through a single rocket.
01:44We are not competing with anybody, and we had the technology.
01:47Take Chandrian 2, as I told, Chandrian 2 has placed the best camera in the orbit, and India
01:53is having the best camera in the moon orbit.
01:56Chandrian 3, August 23, 2023 was a historical day, and India is the only country and first
02:04country which has placed the Chandrian near the south pole of the moon, and we are having
02:10the world record today.
02:12And the cryogenic rocket engine development, you know, the rocket engine is very, very
02:17important component of any rocket or space program.
02:21The difference between rocket engine and car engine functionally, there is no difference.
02:25You know, the car engine, what else it does?
02:27It takes either human being or some object from one place to another place.
02:31Rocket does same thing.
02:33Rocket engines also has to do same thing.
02:34Whether it transports satellite from ground to orbit or human being from ground to orbit.
02:40This is the functionality we say.
02:42But the small difference is, car engines goes in through and in Delhi road, maximum 100 km
02:48per hour, and capability is maybe 120 km per hour.
02:51But to place a Chandrian 3 in the orbit, we have to use 37,000 km per hour velocity.
02:57And that is done by rocket engines.
02:59And the best engine is using liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen.
03:03The technology was denied to India, because every country knows if the technology is denied
03:08to India, India cannot have a meaningful space program, thanks to those countries.
03:14And today, we have developed three cryogenic propulsion systems, and we are one among six countries
03:18having that great technology.
03:22Not only that, really, initially we had a MOU with Russia, and at one point of time when
03:29the MOU was closed, we were insulted.
03:32And today, I want to tell three world records we have made in the cryogenic developments.
03:37In fact, I was so happy and blessed to be the project director of the Mark III cryogenic propulsion
03:43system.
03:44Generally, other countries take ten engines for qualification, then only they go for the flight.
03:50And we have completed the development and succeeded only using three engines against the world
03:56record of minimum four engines.
03:59And within the development of the first three engines to flight, other countries have taken
04:04something around 37 months to 108 months.
04:07We set a target of 24 months, and we have accomplished with the 28 months, and we are holding the number
04:12one position.
