04:15who have come to the Museum of the Bible
04:18for this historic meeting of the Presidential Commission
04:21on Religious Liberty.
04:23These are incredible people.
04:24And everybody wanted to be on this commission.
04:27And I made a couple of people unhappy, maybe even enemies for life.
04:32I don't know.
04:33But they all wanted to be on the commission, but we picked the right ones.
04:36And they've done a really profound, an amazing job.
04:41But America was founded on faith, as we know, and I've been saying it for a long time.
04:46And when faith gets weaker, our country seems to get weaker.
04:51When faith gets stronger, as it is right now, we're having a very good period of time.
04:56After some rough years, good things happen for our country.
05:00It's amazing the way it seems to work that way.
05:03And under the Trump administration, we're defending our rights
05:06and restoring our identity as a nation under God.
05:11We are one nation under God, and we always will be.
05:15The need for this commission has never been more clear than it was last week
05:25when the ineffectual senator from Virginia, a man named Tim Kaine,
05:30stated that the notion,
05:33our rights come from our creator, is, quote,
05:36extremely troubling to him.
05:38Very troubling, isn't it troubling?
05:40Isn't that terrible, though?
05:41How he would say something like that,
05:46and advocated, really, by a totalitarian regime.
05:50This is what they say.
05:51But as everyone in this room understands,
05:54it is tyrants who are denying our rights
05:57and the rights that come from God.
05:59And it's this Declaration of Independence that proclaims
06:03we're endowed by our creator with the right to life, liberty,
06:07and the pursuit of happiness.
06:09The senator from Virginia should be ashamed of himself
06:13for many things.
06:16For many things.
06:18For things even beyond that.
06:20But in his own way, nothing is more important than those words.
06:23Those are terrible words.
06:25As president, I will always defend our nation's glorious heritage,
06:29and we will protect the Judeo-Christian principles of our founding,

06:35We have to bring back religion in America,
06:39bring it back stronger than ever before
06:41as our country grows stronger and stronger.
06:43Our country is now the hottest nation anywhere in the world.
06:47One year ago, our country was dead.
06:53And I say it, one year ago, our country was dead.
06:57We had leaders from all over the world that talked to me
07:01and they'd say, your country is in trouble.
07:02And I just left the Middle East, king of Saudi Arabia,
07:07Qatar, UAE, a lot of the big countries.
07:09Then I was with the heads of NATO, the NATO nations.
07:13All of them.
07:14Everyone said essentially the same thing.
07:18That a year ago, your country was dead,
07:19and now you have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
07:22It's true.
07:23It's true in every way.
07:24But to have a great nation, you have to have religion.
07:31I believe that so strongly.
07:33There has to be something after we go through all of this,
07:38and that something is God.
07:40We go through all of this for a reason.
07:43It's not easy, believe me.
07:45But I want to thank the commission's chairman,
07:48Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick.
07:50He's been the chairman of my Texas campaign from day one.
07:54All right, Dan.
07:58He's been the chairman of my Texas campaign,
08:01and we went through six primaries,
08:03and we went through everything that we went through,
08:06and we won them all.
08:07We won everything, including three elections.
08:09Got the most votes in the history of Texas three times.
08:13Can you believe that?

08:18I heard that the other day.
08:19I said, I like that.
08:20But I want to thank you, Dan.
08:22You've done a great job,
08:23and very instrumental in the creation of what we're doing today,

09:25I think I'm going to win, but I don't know it.
09:2718 people, and I had never done it before.
09:30They had all done it.
09:31They were all governors and senators, talented people.
09:35He said, no, you're going to win it,
09:36because God wants you to win it.

14:07and it was a labor of love.

14:59You know, they were also told what to do

15:05Big changes are being made at the Smithsonian.

15:10because what you've done here is incredible.

15:17the Bible has shaped civilization,
15:19ethics, art, and literature,
15:21and it's brought hope, healing,
15:22and transformation to untold millions

15:27The Bible is also an important part
15:29of the American story.
15:31That's why I'm delighted to announce
15:33that just moments ago,
15:34I have personally delivered
15:36the Trump family Bible given to me
15:37by my mother.
15:38I remember the time she gave it to me.
15:41But it was used in both my inaugurations
15:44and also a display at the museum.
15:47And I guess it will now be displayed
15:49right in the heart of our nation's capital,
15:51right here.
15:52And that's an honor.

16:02to religious liberty in American schools.
16:05And you know what's going on.

16:08a lot of progress has been made

16:14In so many ways.
16:15Not only that,
16:16the woke agenda is practically gone.
16:19It's deep-seated.
16:20We have to make sure it's out.
16:22It's very bad.
16:24It's like a weed.
16:25You think you killed it
16:26and then it starts growing again.
16:28So we have to be careful.
16:29But it's very, very different than it was.
16:33You look at West Point,
16:34how proud they are of their heritage.

17:15in every classroom in the nation.
17:17Yet, in many schools today,
17:19students are instead indoctrinated
17:21with anti-religious propaganda.
17:24And some are even punished
17:25for their religious beliefs
17:27and very, very strongly punished.
17:29It's ridiculous.

17:35A few years ago,
17:36Hannah organized a group
17:37of her classmates
17:38to pray for an injured peer.
17:41The school principal declared
17:42that Hannah's generous act of love
17:44was prohibited from taking place
17:46in front of the other students.
17:48Didn't like it.
17:49The principal didn't like it.
17:50Can you imagine?
17:52But Hannah very strongly
17:53stood her ground, and she won.
17:56And, Hannah, I just want to thank you
17:57for letting the light of your faith shine
17:59for all of those to see.

19:11promoting a message of radical gender ideology
19:14that is contrary to his religious beliefs

20:03Hi, I'm Shane Cias.
20:05I've been a Christian my whole life,
20:06and Jesus means everything to me.
20:08When I was in fifth grade,
20:10my school forced me to teach
20:11my kindergarten buddy
20:12about changing his gender
20:13using a book called
20:14My Shadow is Pink.
20:16The book said you can choose your gender
20:18based on feelings
20:19instead of how God made us.
20:21I knew this was not right,
20:22but I was afraid of getting in trouble.
20:23After my family spoke up,
20:26the school treated us badly,
20:28and kids started bullying me and my brother
20:29because of our faith,
20:31and the school did nothing to stop it.
20:33It hurt a lot,
20:34but I kept trusting God.
20:36I believe kids like me
20:38should be able to live our faith at school
20:39without being forced to go against what we believe.
20:42I hope no other family
20:44has to go through what mine did.

21:09On day one of my administration,
21:11I signed an executive order
21:12to slash federal funding
21:14for any school
21:15that pushes transgender insanity
21:18on our youth.
21:25We also banned the chemical
21:28and surgical mutilation
21:29of our children.
21:41We got men out of women's sports.
21:50How tough was it?
21:51How tough was it?
21:52But could you imagine, seriously,
21:55I'm just thinking to myself,
21:57transgender for everybody,
21:59men playing in women's sports,
22:00all of the different things we talk about.
22:02It's insane.
22:03And if you were here 15, 20 years ago,
22:06and if somebody made a speech about transgender
22:11for everyone,
22:12I always say trans,
22:13because for everyone,
22:14transgender,
22:15there are some states
22:16that actually can force it upon you
22:17without the parents' notification
22:19or approval.
22:20It's not even believable.
22:22But can you imagine men playing in women's sports?
22:25So you're up 15 years ago, I guess.
22:28Probably 10 years ago.
22:30But 15 years ago,
22:31and somebody said,
22:32we will not allow men to play in women's sports.
22:34People would look at the person and say,
22:36what's he talking about?
22:37Is he crazy?
22:38It happened.
22:39And not only that,
22:40the Democrats don't want to give it up.
22:42I watched a congressman fighting like crazy this weekend
22:47for men having the right to play in women's sports.
22:50And they don't understand.
22:52But I don't want to really fight them on that.
22:54I let them —
22:55I tell all the Republicans,
22:56let them go.
22:57Let them go.
22:58Just bring it up about a week before the election.
23:00Because you don't want to talk about it.
23:02But they say it's an 80-20 issue.
23:04I say it's —
23:05I say, Dan,
23:06it's a 97-3 issue.
23:08Okay?
23:09And transgender is about the same.
23:11It's crazy.
23:12It's sort of a crazy thing.
23:15It's a world gone wrong.
23:17Just a world gone wrong.
23:19And I made the official policy of the United States government
23:23that there are only two genders.
23:25You're going to hate this.
23:26Male and female.
23:28You're going to hate it.
23:29And we got rid of a very sinister thing,
23:47the Johnson Amendment,
23:48so that pastors can speak the truth that's in their hearts.
23:54You know, I'll tell you, I was in a boardroom early on.
23:58Paula was there.
23:59A couple of people in the room were there.
24:01But we had about 50 pastors, some rabbis.
24:04We had people from a few different religions.
24:07And I was just running.
24:09I'd never done it before.
24:10So it was very early in the campaign.
24:12It was in early 2016.
24:15And Trump Tower was 68 stories up in the air.
24:18A beautiful boardroom and places loaded up with these people.
24:21And they were all excited.
24:23And then at the end, I said, I'd love to have your support.
24:26And the room went dead silent.
24:28Do you remember?
24:29It's like, I said, what happened?
24:31I know you like me.
24:32What happened?
24:33Well, I would like to talk to you about it later.
24:36Anyway, I said, all right, but if we could leave and we'll have another meeting maybe.
24:40But I would love to have your support.
24:42And there was, again, no answer.
24:44And I said, well, we'll figure this out.
24:46And I went to Paula and some of the others after.
24:49And I said, could I ask you?
24:51I know when I'm doing well, when I'm doing poorly.
24:53And I was doing really well.
24:55And then when I asked for support, it was like stone-cold silence.
24:58They said, we have something called the Johnson Amendment.
25:01That if a pastor, minister, rabbi, or imam, or anybody says anything about politics, you can lose your tax-exempt status.
25:13I said, you've got to be kidding.
25:15So that's what happened.
25:16And they were petrified of it.
25:17Remember that?
25:18Nobody even wanted to talk about it.
25:20They were absolutely — they became a different group of people.
25:24And I pledged to them at the next meeting — we had another meeting a couple of weeks later with a similar group of people.
25:29And I pledged to them that if I win, we're going to get rid of the Johnson Amendment.
25:34This was Lyndon Johnson, who had a tremendous fight with a minister from — I believe it was Houston.
25:40Houston or Dallas.
25:42And they didn't like each other.
25:44And Lyndon Johnson was a very powerful president.
25:47He had good power, good strength, good — he ended up being very weakened by the position.
25:55But he had tremendous power.
25:56He was a big dealmaker.
25:58And he got that done, which is pretty amazing that he could get that done.
26:01Everybody fought him, but he got it done.
26:03He pushed it through — pushed it through Congress, where you lose your tax-exempt status if you even utter a word about politics.
26:10And that was amazing when I heard that that — I never heard of that before.
26:15And I said, we're going to get rid of it.
26:17And we got rid of it.
26:18You have got — because you're the people we want to hear from.
26:21We want to hear from you.
26:22I don't want to hear from a lot of people.
26:24I hear from too many people.
26:26You're the people we respect.
26:28Franklin is incredible.
26:30All of the people that are up here, I want to hear from these people.
26:34And they come from a different place than me.
26:37I come from a business place where there's a lot of rough people, bad people — not really religious people.
26:44There are some.
26:45But you're the people that I want to hear from.
26:47That's why we go to church on Sundays or we go to wherever we are to listen to people of faith.
26:54And it was horrible.
26:56I said, you mean — when I heard that and I said to the other people, that means that you should be the most powerful people on Earth, in a sense, and yet you have less power.
27:06And I pointed down to Fifth Avenue, which was 68 stories below.
27:10And I said, that means that anybody on Fifth Avenue, in theory, has more power than you do.
27:15And that's not the way it's supposed to be.
27:17It's supposed to be the opposite.
27:18We have to give your voices back.
27:20And I've given you voices back.
27:22And that's one of the reasons that we see upticks now, I think, in religion.
27:25So, it's very important.
27:27You remember that moment when I said, I'd love to have your support, ladies and gentlemen?
27:35And it was like dead silence.
27:37I said, there's something going on.
27:39And we figured it out.
27:40We did something about it.
27:41So, thank you.

27:44But upon taking office, I also ended the weaponization of law enforcement against religious believers
27:53and pardoned the pro-life activists thrown in jail by Joe Biden for saying prayer.
27:58And, you know, people don't realize about the Biden administration, it was a very mean administration.

28:24Not a smart guy.
28:25Never was.
28:26But he was a mean guy.
28:27No, he was a mean guy.
28:28And he knew enough about what was going on.
28:31He wasn't like some of the people that surrounded him on the resolute, the beautiful resolute desk
28:37in the Oval Office.
28:38They were stone cold mean.
28:41But Joe Biden and Biden, they were mean people.
28:44What they did to people, what they did to J6, what they did to so many people, they were mean people.
28:50These were really radical, horrible people.
28:53And he wasn't that way 20 years ago.
28:56He was never the brightest bulb in the ceiling.
29:01But he was a man who wasn't overly mean that I saw.
29:07But, boy, he became really mean.
29:09And his administration was one of the meanest we've ever had.
29:12And that's why they're out of here.
29:14And people, they're having a hard time getting jobs.
29:18And that's the way it should be.
29:19Because they are, they were bad.
29:21They did tremendous disservice to this country, including allowing 25 million people into the,
29:26from jails, from prisons, from mental institutions, drug dealers.
29:31All over the world, they were entered our country from jails.
29:35The prison population of Venezuela was emptied out into our country.
29:39And that's what we're doing now.
29:40I spent so much of our time, Tom Holman and the people that have worked on this so, so hard.
29:48You know, Kristi Noem, all of them, they've worked on it so hard.
29:52It's just, it's like an unforced error.
29:55And to allow people into our country who are truly, there are evil people.
30:00We're all people of religion, but there are evil people.
30:03And we have to confront that.
30:05I just give my love and hope to the family of the young woman who was stabbed this morning or last night in Charlotte by a madman, a lunatic.
30:15Just got up and started, it's right on the tape.
30:18Not really watchable because it's so horrible.
30:21But just viciously stabbed.
30:24She's just sitting there.
30:25So they're evil people.
30:27We have to be able to handle that.
30:29If we don't handle that, we don't have a country.
30:32And I created the first ever Department of Justice Task Force to eradicate anti-Christian bias.
30:47And for those people that are a little bit naive or not well-read,
30:50there is a tremendous anti-Christian bias.
30:53We don't hear about it.
30:54We don't think about it.
30:55You hear about anti-Semitic, but you don't hear about anti-Christian.
30:59No, you have a strong anti-Christian bias, but we're ending that rapidly.
31:03I will tell you, it's a whole.
31:05We're in a much different world today than we were one year ago.
31:08This is like a different world.
31:09And to support parents' rights, we're fighting, as you know, for school choice, which most people
31:18want.
31:19Most people want it.
31:20I'll tell you, Dan was responsible for getting it, along with the governor of Texas.
31:27They got it in Texas, and we helped you a little bit.
31:31They needed about 20 votes from the legislature.
31:33He said, could you make a phone call to whoever they were, the legislators, who I like a lot.
31:38But they were about 20 votes short, and they had been for about 10 years.
31:41I said, all right, let's give it a shot.
31:43So, I gave a big talk to the, who were they, senators?
31:48They were House members.
31:49But you also helped us defeat about 15 anti-school choice people.
31:53That's right.
31:54We defeated a lot of anti-school choice.
31:56But anyway, he got it done.
31:58So, congratulations.
31:59That was a big accomplishment.
32:05But as part of our tax cuts, we've created a massive tax credit for school choice scholarships
32:10so that you can send your child to a school that shares your values,
32:15and you get tax credits and all sorts of good things happening.
32:18And I'm also taking action against anti-Semitic and anti-Christian bias
32:23in our institutions of higher learning.
32:26You've been watching that play out.
32:28They're making very substantial settlements.
32:30And Leo's involved, and Pam Bondi's involved.
32:33We've launched.
32:35You know, we're getting hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements, Pam.
32:42And Leo called me up, sir, you can do better than that.
32:45I said, what am I going to do?
32:48I'm going to get one where he really likes it.
32:50But he always says, everyone else says, that's amazing.
32:53Except for Leo.
32:54He says, sir, you could have gotten more.
32:57Oh, good.
32:58Thanks, Leo.
33:00But we've launched sweeping civil rights and Title IX investigations into more than 60 colleges going on currently.
33:08And universities to stop their violations of civil liberties and First Amendment freedoms.
33:13And, you know, we're involved very much in Harvard.
33:15That's one that people seem to be reading about more than others.
33:18We have many going.
33:19And other than having a radical left judge, you have a very radical left judge.
33:24But, you know, the appellate courts have been really good to us.
33:27You go before some of these judges.
33:30No matter how good a case you have, you can't win.
33:33But we've had a lot of them.
33:34But we've done very well in the appellate, at the appellate level.
33:38And the case of Harvard, we have an absolute radical left judge.
33:42Disgraceful.
33:43Should not even be there.
33:45But we have, we're doing very well with Harvard.
33:48And we're doing very well with all of them.
33:50And where we don't win at the lower courts, which sometimes we do.
33:53In some states, we get a very fair shake.
33:56In other states, it's not even possible.
33:58But we've done very well at the appellate level and at the United States Supreme Court.
34:02But this includes an unprecedented $200 million payment from Columbia University.
34:08Columbia paid us $200 million, essentially, in fines and penalties.
34:12But many more settlements are soon to follow.
34:15And they're going to be behaving because they understand we're coming back.
34:19They would not let you have your voice.
34:21They wouldn't let the people in this room, any of them, have the voice.
34:24Because that's not the voice they wanted to hear from.
34:26They wanted to hear from a very sinister voice.
34:29And we're not going to allow that.
34:31In recent years, we've seen far too many violent attacks perpetrated against Americans of faith.
34:37Beautiful Americans of faith, including in our schools and places of worship.
34:41And you know about it more than I do.
34:44Two weeks ago, in Minneapolis, a demonic killer shot 21 people and murdered the two precious children at a Catholic school.
34:54Can you believe that?
34:55Hard to believe.
34:56And time goes by, and people say, oh, I sort of remember it.
35:00But I remember it.
35:01I'll always remember it.
35:02What a horrible thing.
35:04Too many happens too much.
35:06Our hearts are shattered for the families of those beautiful children.
35:10And I've made clear that Attorney General Pam Bondi is working really hard.
35:15That we must get answers about the causes of these repeated attacks.
35:19And we're working very, very hard on that.
35:22The Trump administration will have no tolerance for terrorism or political violence.
35:26And that includes hate crimes against Christians, Jews, or anybody else.
35:30We're not going to allow it.
35:31And there was also a horrible killing recently in Charlotte, where I talked about, and so many others.
35:41And we will — we're going to get to the end of it.
35:45And, you know, when you have horrible killings, you have to take horrible actions.
35:49And the actions that we take are nothing.
35:52We — this cashless bail started a wave in our country where a killer kills somebody and is out on the street by the afternoon.
36:00In many cases, going out and killing again.
36:04Cashless bail.
36:05And you try and reason with people, like in Chicago, with the governor and the mayor.
36:09You try and reason with them.
36:11And it's like you're talking to a wall.
36:13It just doesn't — I assume it's just a political ideology.
36:17They're not stupid people.
36:18It must be an ideology that's just buried in their head and you can't do a damn thing about it.
36:23And we'd love to go into Chicago and straighten it out.
36:27You know, Washington, D.C., you'll be happy to know, is a free and safe zone.
36:32It's so safe right now.
36:33It was — it was one of the most dangerous — can you believe it?
36:42So, you know, you see the beautiful buildings.
36:44But we're going to also do an upgrade, because a lot of the beautiful buildings have a little graffiti on them.
36:48They have roads that aren't proper.
36:50They have medians that are bad and falling down into the road — the dividers.
36:54We have things that we have to take care of and beautify.
36:59We want to beautify it.
37:00Very little work will be done.
37:02I'm very good at that.
37:03That's what I really did the best in life, probably.
37:06I said, was I a better builder or politician?
37:09They said, I think you were a better builder, sir.
37:11I said — I didn't know if I was happy about that or not.
37:14But, yeah, I was a really good builder.
37:17And I'll fix this place up for peanuts.
37:19I'll fix it up.
37:20We'll fix — we'll put in new dividers.
37:22All the — you ever notice they're all rotted, rusting and falling down on the road?
37:26Potholes all over the place.
37:28We're going to have this place looking beautiful within 12 months.
37:31Even the little white tiles in the tunnels.
37:37You know, you go through the tunnels and there's little white tiles.
37:40They've been up for about 60 years.
37:42And, like, there's pieces missing.
37:45And you can't match them.
37:47Believe me, you can't.
37:48When you try and match them, it never works.
37:50You can't.
37:51They've been up 60 years.
37:52You don't get the same match no matter what you do.
37:54But we'll take all those tiles off.
37:56And you're going to have beautiful white tile tunnels again.
37:59And everything's going to be really the way it should be.
38:02Because when foreign leaders come, you know, I had to take down the tents.
38:05We had over 58 tent cities that we took down right in the middle of our parks.
38:10Right next to our great buildings.
38:12Supreme Court, you'd have a tent city right there.
38:14And nobody would ever tell them to do it.
38:17We had a blue tent right on Lafayette.
38:20And they seemed to have a permit.
38:22And one of the fake news media was asking me the other day, what about the blue tent?
38:27What blue tent?
38:28Because all the tents you got, somehow these people were very well connected with the communist
38:32cause.
38:33And I said, there's a tent up there?
38:35Really?
38:36Yeah.
38:37And he was a friendly reporter for a change.
38:39He said, it's terrible that the tent, I said, I didn't know that.
38:42I'm surprised.
38:43And I checked.
38:44And there was.
38:45And we got it down very quickly.
38:47It's down.
38:48It's down.
38:49It wasn't easy.
38:50You know?
38:51And people chained themselves to a tree and this and that.
38:54But that's okay.
38:55They can chain themselves if they want.
38:56That was a tough one.
38:57That's been there for years.
38:58It's been there for many years.
38:59We took it down.
39:00It came down very quickly, Pam.
39:02So I hope Attorney General Bondi will be looking into some of these things.
39:07And I really know that some of them she is.
39:10She's done such an incredible job.
39:12You know, she's got a lot of pressure on her not to do these things by a certain group
39:15of people that I guess don't love our country or there's some ideology that they're just
39:21indoctrinated with.
39:23But she's going to do a fantastic job.
39:25And we're waiting for a call from Chicago.
39:27We'll fix Chicago.
39:28And again, D.C. is right now.
39:30So safe you can go out.
39:32Friends of mine called.
39:33One in particular has been in D.C. for a long time.
39:36And he said, I haven't gone out in four years for dinner with my wife.
39:40The restaurants were all closing because people were afraid even if they're in the restaurant,
39:44it didn't matter.
39:45They were held up.
39:46You know, guys would walk in with guns into a restaurant.
39:48And that's over.
39:50It's not happening.
39:51It's now safe.
39:52And this man said, I've gone out to dinner in the last week and a half four times.
39:56And I am so safe.
39:58My wife could meet me at the restaurant.
40:00She could walk by herself.
40:01There is zero threat.
40:02The National Guard working with the police, working with the mayor.
40:07The mayor has, you know, that's not her ideology.
40:09And now I think it maybe is her ideology.
40:12She's taking a lot of heat, too, from the radical left.
40:15You know, they don't like that she's allowing it.
40:17But look, she's going to either allow it or we'll just do it.
40:20Because, you know, it's just she understands.
40:23She understands that.
40:28But I can tell you, the people of D.C. are thrilled.
40:32I have never had so many people.
40:34The other day, I had a big scrum in front of me of the press.
40:38And I said, you know everybody here or many of you have been mugged.
40:42Right?
40:43And they're all going like, and these aren't people necessarily on our side.
40:46They're all going, yes, yes, yes.
40:48What about you?
40:49Yes, it's true.
40:50I was a couple of times.
40:51Every one of them.
40:52It's crazy.
40:53Not going to happen anymore.
40:54So right now, we went from a one of the most, and some people say the worst, the most violent
41:01city.
41:02Can you imagine our capital being the most violent city?
41:04But it was, it was really bad into a totally safe zone.
41:09It's called a safe zone city.
41:10There's no crime.
41:11They said crimes down 87 percent.
41:13I said, no, no, no.
41:14It's more than 87 percent.
41:17Virtually nothing.
41:18And much lesser things, things that take place in the home they call crime.
41:24You know, they'll do anything they can to find something.
41:26If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say, this was a crime.
41:30See?
41:31So now I can't claim 100 percent.
41:33But we are, we are a safe city.
41:35You can walk to a restaurant.
41:36You can walk to the White House if you work there.
41:38You can walk to the Capitol.
41:39And even the Democrats say, I can't believe it, but they don't want to admit it.
41:43But I can't believe it.
41:44We could do the same thing in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles.
41:47We did it.
41:48We saved, we saved Los Angeles.
41:51We saved Los Angeles, Dan.
41:53You know that.
41:54Los Angeles was a mess.
41:55If we didn't send our troops in, Gavin Newsom would have had a real problem.
42:00We sent our troops.
42:02The head police officer, the top person said, we could have never done this alone.
42:06We sent our troops right in at the beginning and we killed it.
42:10And it was nasty.
42:11But we killed it immediately.
42:13Immediately.
42:14And I don't know why Chicago isn't calling us saying, please give us help.
42:18When you have, over just a short period of time, 50 murders and hundreds of people shot,
42:24and then you have a governor that stands up and says how crime is just fine.
42:28It's really crazy.
42:30But we're bringing back law and order to our country.
42:33And I began my remarks today by noting that the reverence for our Creator.
42:45I mean, we have reverence for our Creator.
42:48And it's inscribed into our Declaration of Independence, a copy of which I have very proudly hanging in the Oval Office.
42:55An original copy.
42:57Very old, beautiful copy.
42:58Next year, we will celebrate 250 years since that declaration was signed.
43:04As part of the grand, well, this is really a commemoration like I think we're going to do.
43:12We're going to try and do a commemoration like nobody's ever seen before.
43:15But we've invited America's great faith communities to pray for our nation and for our people and for peace in the world.
43:22And it's going to be an amazing, it's going to be an amazing time.
43:26We're going to have an amazing time.
43:27We have the Olympics.
43:29We have the World Cup.
43:30And we have 250.
43:32Okay?
43:33The supercentennial, as our man would say.
43:36But, and we're going to, it's going to be, it's going to be amazing.
43:41It's going to be maybe bigger than the both of those events.
43:44You know, when I was president, I got, I got the World Cup and I got the Olympics.
43:49I got, I got them to choose us, Los Angeles.
43:52And I was very proud of it.
43:53The only problem was I wasn't going to be president because I would have served out normally my time.
43:58And then you had some very bad people who rigged an election and look what happened.
44:03I end up getting the Olympics, the World Cup at 250.
44:08It's amazing the way God works, isn't it?
44:12It's amazing.
44:13Isn't it amazing the way God works, huh?
44:16It's true.
44:17I got the Olympics.
44:18You know, because I'm a little bit of a selfish person, I guess.
44:21I said, you know, I got the Olympics and Obama would not call.
44:24I'll never forget the head of the Olympic Committee called.
44:27And the mayor of Los Angeles called me and he said,
44:30yes, sir, the president will not talk to them.
44:33You know why?
44:34Because he traveled to Geneva or wherever to make the presentation.
44:38And he came in fourth.
44:40Now, a president shouldn't do that.
44:42A president should say, I will do that.
44:44I will make that journey, which has never been made before.
44:46But if I make that journey, you have to pick me.
44:49He didn't do that.
44:51That's why we had a country that was going to hell,
44:53because he didn't do a lot of things like that.
44:55So he ended up sitting there and they announced that we're fourth.
44:58We were like almost last.
45:00And so he didn't like the Olympic Committee too much.
45:02So he refused to talk to him.
45:03So I get a call from the mayor of Los Angeles who said,
45:07please, sir, would you call?
45:08We're ready to get it.
45:09But and I spoke to a gentleman and I believe it was Geneva,
45:14whatever, wherever they are.
45:16And I couldn't get him off the phone.
45:18He was so dying for love.
45:19He finally got, finally got something.
45:22Anyway, and he agreed that the Olympics would come to the United States.
45:25And I was so proud of it.
45:27And then I realized even then I said, I'm not going to be the president.
45:30And then the World Cup, we got the World Cup.
45:32I did that one too with Johnny and got the World Cup.
45:36And I said, I can't believe it.
45:38Can you hold it a little sooner, sir?
45:40It's all given out at all these different places.
45:42So I wasn't going to get that either.
45:44And now I got them both.
45:46And I can't say that I created 250.
45:48That one is that one we have.
45:51I'd like to say I created 250 years.
45:54I can't say that.
45:55But we are going to create a great party and a great celebration.
45:58And I'd like to ask a very good friend of mine, Secretary Scott Turner,
46:02to come up and say a few words about some of the things we're doing.
46:06And Scott, please take it away.
46:08Well, good morning.
46:19Good morning.
46:20So grateful to be here.
46:21What an honor it is to stand with this commission and with our president.
46:27Y'all, we're in the nation's capital.
46:30We're at the Museum of the Bible.
46:32We're together and we're talking about faith.
46:35Did anybody else pick up on that?
46:37I wouldn't want to be anywhere else but right here.
46:41So thank you, Mr. President.
46:43It's an honor to serve under your leadership, sir.
46:46And to be a part of this tremendous cabinet.
46:49How many know we have a godly, faithful cabinet?
46:52And a cabinet that prioritizes prayer.
46:59On July 3rd, Mr. President, of this year, you kicked off the year-long celebration
47:03of America's 250th birthday in Iowa.
47:07You invited America's faith communities to come together to pray for our country.
47:14Well, Mr. President, America's faith communities are responding with overwhelming enthusiasm, as you can see here today.
47:21Today, more than 70 major faith organizations and churches have joined together to participate in what we are calling America Praise.
47:32In fact, many of you are here today, including leaders from Pray.com,
47:37Hallowed, the National Religious Broadcasters, the Faith and Freedom Coalition,
47:41Intercessors for America, and many, many others are here with us.
47:45And I want to take a moment, if you are here today, and you have joined this faith movement, America Praise,
47:51please stand if you're here this morning.
47:53Please, if you're here, stand and let us see you.
48:02Well, together, we have our simple proposition.
48:08Think about this.
48:09What if one million people prayed for our country every single week between now and next July 4th?
48:20More specifically, what if believers all across this great nation got together with 10 people,
48:27friends, family members, colleagues, work associates, 10 people each week to pray for our country and for our fellow citizens?
48:38Let that sink in.
48:39One million people every single week.
48:43Ten people getting together to pray for our country and for our citizens.
48:49Think about the miracles that would take place over the next year.
48:54Think about the transformation that you and I could witness in communities all across the land.
49:00Sons returning to their fathers.
49:03Daughters returning to their mothers.
49:06Families coming back together.
49:08Health being restored.
49:10Financial needs being met.
49:12Mountains being moved.
49:14Think about it.
49:16If a million of us every week got together and prayed for this great country,
49:22how many know that God is well able to do it?
49:25Amen.
49:26We're a nation that has always believed in the power of prayer.
49:37During the Constitutional Convention, when our founding fathers, and many of you know this,
49:42were discussing the formation of our country, Benjamin Franklin stopped the debate and asked the delegates
49:48to pray for guidance from the Lord God Almighty.
49:52He famously said, if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?
50:03How many are grateful that God put that on the heart of Benjamin Franklin on that day?
50:10Prayer brings restoration.
50:13It rebuilds what has been broken.
50:16It ignites an indescribable power of hope within you and within me.
50:23It's a light that's felt for all of those in whom we intercede and pray for.
50:29And you've all heard faith leaders across the country quote 2 Chronicles 7, 14, which says,
50:35If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
50:44then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land.
50:51On behalf of President Trump and ultimately the Lord God Almighty who calls us to pray without ceasing,
51:00I am inviting all Americans to pray with unwavering faith for the renewal of our nation and our fellow citizens.
51:11Amen?
51:12Amen.
51:13All Americans.
51:14Will you all stand with me as we rededicate America to one nation under God?
51:31Father, we thank you for this time that we have together.
51:35Lord God, we thank you that we can gather together as faithful people, as faithful leaders, as denomination leaders, as religious leaders.
51:46Father, we thank you for our president, Donald J. Trump.
51:49Father God, whom you have anointed and appointed for this time, for such a time as this.
51:54We thank you that the president prioritizes prayer.
51:57Father God, that he sees the power, the importance, the priority of praying together as a people, as a country, as a nation.
52:05Father, we in this place today, in this great museum of the Bible.
52:09Father God, we lift up our president.
52:11Lord God, we lift up his family.
52:13We lift up God, our vice president, our cabinet, and everyone, God, who serves in this administration through all branches of government.
52:21Father, help us to be godly men and godly women.
52:24Father, help us to surrender to the power, to the presence, and to the will of God.
52:28And Lord, we pray this morning as we commemorate, Father God, as we call our nation to pray.
52:35Lord God, as we rededicate our nation to one nation under God.
52:39Father, we pray for your forgiveness.
52:41We pray, Lord Jesus, that you would give us great favor and understanding, Father God, as we bow our knee before you, as we humble ourselves before you.
52:51Lord God, we thank you that it's starting even right now that families will come back together.
52:56Sons will return to fathers.
52:58Daughters will return to mothers.
53:00Healing and revitalization will take place.
53:02New life will come to our nation.
53:04And Father, we're so grateful that we can stand in the nation's capital as a people of believers in this great institution.
53:14Lord God, in the presence of God Almighty, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus, we humble ourselves.
53:20We thank you.
53:21And God, we know that from this day until on that great day, July 4th of 2026, when we celebrate 250 years,
53:31that, Lord God, from now to then and forevermore, you will be glorified and honored.
53:35And, Father, we pray for a sweet celebration.
53:38And, Lord God, that all people of all faiths, Father God, will come together, Lord, not just Democrat, not just Republican,
53:45but all American people will come together under the banner of Yahweh, of God Almighty.
53:51And, Lord God, we praise you and we thank you and we love you.
53:54In Jesus' name, amen.
53:56Amen.
53:57Thank you very much, God.
54:08So, America has always been a nation that believes in the power of prayer.
54:12And we will never apologize for our faith, ever, ever, never, never.
54:18We will never surrender our God-given rights.
54:21We will defend our liberties, our values, our sovereignty.
54:25And we will defend our freedom.
54:28And with the help of amazing faith communities across the land, so many are represented with us today,
54:34we will truly make this the golden age of America.
54:39That's what we're doing.
54:40We're in a golden age.
54:41We're at the very beginning of a golden age.
54:43So much progress has been made in the last eight months.
54:46Progress like nobody's ever seen before.
54:49They're writing about it.
54:50They're actually saying it.
54:52They've never seen anything like what's happened in the last eight months.
54:57And together, we will make our country greater, stronger, more united, and more faithful than ever before.
55:04God bless you.
