00:00well thank you very much thank you very much i said we'll have to cut lee greenwood a little
00:10bit short how good is how good is he right he's been with us right from the beginning
00:15and i wanted to stand and listen to the entire song but people would have said
00:20look at the ego of that guy he just wouldn't stop he just stood there and listened to the
00:25but i appreciate it very much and i want to thank you for uh doing an incredible job pam bondi the
00:32attorney general has been unbelievable incredible job thank you and thank you to all of the faith
00:40leaders pastors and patriots who have come to the museum of the bible for this historic meeting of
00:46the presidential commission on religious liberty these are incredible people and everybody wanted
00:52to be on this commission and i made a couple of people unhappy maybe even enemies for life i don't
00:59know but they all wanted to be on the commission but we picked the right ones and uh they've done a
01:04really a profound an amazing job but america was founded on faith as we know and i've been saying
01:11it for a long time and when faith gets weaker our country seems to get weaker when faith gets stronger
01:19as it is right now we're having a very good period of time after some rough years uh good things
01:26happen for our country it's amazing the way it seems to work that way and under the trump administration
01:31we're defending our rights and restoring our identity as a nation under god we are one nation
01:39under god and we always will
01:41the need for this commission has never been more clear than it was last week when the ineffectual senator
01:53from virginia man named tim kane stated that the notion our rights come from our creator is quote
02:03extremely troubling to him very troubling isn't it troubling isn't it terrible though
02:07how he would say something like that and advocated really by a totalitarian regime this is what they
02:17say but as everyone in this room understands it is tyrants who are denying our rights and the rights
02:24that come from god and it's this declaration of independence that proclaims we're endowed by our
02:30creator with the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness the senator from virginia should
02:38be ashamed of himself for many things for many things for things even beyond that but in his own way
02:48nothing's more important than those words or terrible words as president i will always defend our nation's
02:54glorious heritage and we will protect the judeo-christian principles of our founding and we will
03:00protect them with vigor we have to bring back religion in america bring it back stronger than ever before
03:07as our country grows stronger and stronger our country is now the hottest nation anywhere in the world
03:13one year ago our country was dead
03:16and i say it one year ago our country was dead
03:23we had leaders from all over the world that talked to me and say your country is in trouble and i just
03:29left the middle east king of saudi arabia qatar uae a lot of the big countries and i was with the heads of
03:37nato the nato nations all of them everyone said essentially the same thing that a year ago your
03:45country was dead and now you have the hottest country anywhere in the world it's true it's true
03:50in every way
03:50but to have a great nation you have to have religion i believe that so strongly
03:59there has to be something after we go through all of this and that something is god
04:06we go through all of this for a reason it's not easy felipe but i want to thank the commission's
04:14chairman texas lieutenant governor dan patrick he's been the chairman of my texas campaign from day one
04:20he's been the chairman of my texas campaign and we went through
04:28six primaries and we went through everything that we went through and
04:32we won them all we won everything including three elections got the most votes in the history of texas
04:39three times can you believe that
04:41that's pretty good i heard that the other day i said i like that
04:46but i want to thank you dan you've done a great job and very instrumental in the creation of what we're doing
04:52today as well as a very special friend of mine dr ben carson so special that he's being honored
04:58he's being honored in a couple of weeks and i was absolutely not here it was a very important mission for the country
05:11and because i usually take missions only for the country
05:15but uh this was for the country and i said i can't do that one i'm going to go back
05:19i'm going to be with ben carson at mount vernon i believe it's going to be pretty good place pretty good location right ben
05:25but he's been my friend from the beginning right from the beginning
05:29uh should i tell him the story about what you said to me ben the famous words
05:33he was a very tough opponent we were fighting it out and we had actually 18 candidates
05:39including me
05:40and ben came up to me
05:43right after the first debate he said uh
05:46you know you're gonna win don't you
05:48and i said no i don't know that
05:51i think i'm gonna win but i don't know it 18 people and i had never done it before
05:56they had all done it they were all governors and senators talented people
06:00he said no you're gonna win it because god wants you to win it
06:04but that didn't stop him we went through
06:14i said when is this guy gonna quit you know
06:20he gave he gave me these words of beauty then he goes for weeks and weeks he was tough
06:25he was a tough one but we love ben ben special and we appreciate it thank you ben
06:32thanks also to the commission members including secretary scott turner

08:23your show is excellent
08:24and he's a great guy and he wants me to call it the super centennial
08:30he said super centennial
08:31and i think we're going to do that let's change it
08:34i really like that idea because we call it the 250 centennial but it's really not
08:39it's really just below the try right
08:42so we're going to call it super centennial then
08:45okay
08:46let's do that

09:47thank you very much ralph i appreciate it
09:49we'll never forget it thank you
09:50let me also thank everyone at the museum of the bible including steve and jackie green the job
09:58they've done is just incredible it's uh
10:01i want to say their entire families here i want to all hear it but
10:05they founded this beautiful museum to honor the most widely read book in history and the job they've done is amazing i asked
10:12which museum does the best you know i always like to find that out
10:16and
10:17numerous times they're saying the museum of the bible that more people
10:21come here than anyone else you probably won't read that in the
10:25newspapers or the media
10:26but this is an amazing place and it does tremendously well so respected and they
10:32they built it up and it was a labor of love well it's nice that he's rich as hell too
10:37it always helps where are you where are you guys where are they
10:42look at that they don't even get good location
10:47see if i did the museum of the bible it wouldn't be as successful but i'd be sitting right here
10:55no i'd be sitting up here
10:58you've done a great job everybody's talking about it it's uh i got a little involved with museums you know
11:05because i had a little problem with the smithsonian we like like a little more positivity it was all about
11:12all the bad things in our country i said what about the good things we've done so i got a little involved
11:16i got a little involved with that
11:18and they're making honestly they're making changes you know they were also told what to do by people that came before me in all fairness but
11:30they're making changes big changes are being made at the smithsonian but
11:34i just want to thank the green family because what you've done here is incredible thank you
11:38for thousands of years the bible has shaped civilization ethics art and literature and it's
11:47brought hope healing and transformation to untold millions and millions of lives
11:53the bible is also an important part of the american story that's why i'm delighted to announce it just
12:00moments ago i have personally delivered the trump family bible given to me by my mother i remember the
12:05time she gave it to me but it was used in both my inaugurations and also uh display at the museum
12:13and i guess it will now be displayed right in the heart of our nation's capital right here and that's an honor
12:19that's an honor
12:20we're here this morning to discuss the grave threats to religious liberty in american schools
12:31and you know what's going on we all know what's going on but i will tell you a lot of progress
12:35progress has been made in the last eight months tremendous progress more than i thought we could
12:40make in so many ways not only that the woke agenda is practically gone it's deep-seated we have to make
12:47sure it's out it's uh very bad it's like a weed you think you killed it and then it starts growing again
12:54so we have to be careful but uh it's very very different than it was you look at west point how proud
13:01they are of their heritage they did something this week which i thought was appropriate some of you
13:05know what that is does anybody know what that is yeah i like it i like it oh look at who we have over
13:12here we have your associate pam huh leo 2.0 well we have leo here we have is he doing a good job pam
13:21he's great he said do doj he's a great man he's a great friend of mine for a long time
13:26i'm glad i got to see him i would have been in big trouble pam if i didn't see him
13:36but i thank you leo very much i appreciate it for most of our country's history the bible was found
13:41in every classroom in the nation yet in many schools today students are instead
13:46indoctrinated with anti-religious propaganda and some are even punished for their religious beliefs
13:53and very very strongly punished it's ridiculous joining us this morning is hannah allen from
13:59honey grove texas a few years ago hannah organized a group of her classmates to pray for an injured
14:06peer the school principal declared that hannah's generous act of love was prohibited from taking
14:12place in front of the other students didn't like it the principal didn't like it can you imagine
14:17but hannah very strongly stood her ground and she won and hannah i just want to thank you for letting
14:24the light of your faith shine for all of those to see we really appreciate it and where is hannah
14:30is hannah here someplace i think so hannah stand up please
14:35i know what you went through i know what you went through it's great appreciate it to support
14:49students like hannah i'm pleased to announce this morning that the department of education
14:53will soon issue new guidance protecting the right to prayer in our public schools and this
14:58total protection
15:00thank you hannah great job
15:17see what you did hannah who knew who knew that was going to happen right thank you
15:24hannah also with us is 12 year old shay encinas from california last year in fifth grade shay was
15:34forced to read a book to a kindergarten student promoting a message of radical gender ideology that
15:41is contrary to his religious beliefs and ours i'd like to uh have shay come up and tell the story
15:50it's an amazing story shay please come up
15:57the story i love you
16:01i love you
16:15like that
16:17Thank you again, Mr. President.
16:30Hi, I'm Shane Cias.
16:31I've been a Christian my whole life, and Jesus means everything to me.
16:35When I was in fifth grade, my school forced me to teach my kindergarten buddy
16:38about changing his gender using a book called My Shadow is Pink.
16:42The book said you can choose your gender based on feelings instead of how God made us.
16:46I knew this was not right, but I was afraid of getting in trouble.
16:51After my family spoke up, the school treated us badly,
16:54and kids started bullying me and my brother because of our faith,
16:57and the school did nothing to stop it.
16:59It hurt a lot, but I kept trusting God.
17:02I believe kids like me should be able to live our faith at school
17:06without being forced to go against what we believe.
17:09I hope no other family has to go through what mine did.
17:16Thank you, Shane.
17:29Great job.
17:31That was delivered well, wasn't it?
17:33On day one of my administration, I signed an executive order to slash federal funding
17:40for any school that pushes transgender insanity on our youth.
17:52We also banned the chemical and surgical mutilation of our children.
17:57We got men out of women's sports.
18:17How tough was it?
18:18How tough.
18:19But could you imagine, Sirius, I'm just thinking to myself,
18:25transgender for everybody, men playing in women's sports,
18:28all of the different things we talk about.
18:29It's insane.
18:30And if you were here 15, 20 years ago,
18:34and if somebody made a speech about transgender for everyone,
18:39I always say transgender because for everyone,
18:42transgender, we have some states that actually can force it upon you
18:45without the parents' notification or approval.
18:48It's not even believable.
18:50But can you imagine men playing in women's sports?
18:53So you're up 15 years ago, I guess, probably 10 years ago.
18:57But 15 years ago, and somebody said,
18:59we will not allow men to play in women's sports.
19:02People would look at the person and say,
19:03what's he talking about?
19:04Is he crazy?
19:05It happened.
19:07And not only that, the Democrats don't want to give it up.
19:10I watched a congressman fighting like crazy this weekend
19:14for men having the right to play in women's sports.
19:18And they don't understand.
19:20But I don't want to really fight them on that.
19:21I let them, I tell all the Republicans, let them go.
19:24Let them go.
19:24Just bring it up about a week before the election.
19:27Because you don't want to talk about it.
19:30But they say it's an 80-20 issue.
19:31I say it's, I say, Dan, it's a 97-3 issue.
19:35Okay?
19:36And transgender is about the same.
19:38It's crazy.
19:40It's sort of a crazy thing.
19:42It's a world gone wrong.
19:44Just a world gone wrong.
19:46And I made the official policy of the United States government
19:49that there are only two genders.
19:52You're going to hate this.
19:53Male and female.
19:54You're going to hate it.
20:08And we got rid of a very sinister thing, the Johnson Amendment,
20:16so that pastors can speak the truth that's in their hearts.
20:22You know, I'll tell you, I was in a boardroom early on.
20:25Paula was there.
20:26A couple of people in the room were there.
20:28But we had about 50 pastors, some rabbis.
20:31We had people from a few different religions.
20:34And I was just running.
20:36I'd never done it before.
20:37So it was very early in the campaign.
20:39It was in early 2016.
20:42And Trump Tower was 68 stories up in the air
20:45and a beautiful boardroom and places loaded up with these people.
20:49And they were all excited.
20:51And then at the end, I said, I'd love to have your support.
20:54And the room went dead silent.
20:55Do you remember?
20:56It's like, I said, what happened?
20:58I know you like me.
21:00What happened?
21:01Well, I would like to talk to you about it later.
21:03Anyway, I said, all right, but if we could leave
21:06and we'll have another meeting maybe,
21:08but I would love to have your support.
21:09And there was, again, no answer.
21:12And I said, well, we'll figure this out.
21:13And I went to Paula and some of the others after.
21:16And I said, could I ask you?
21:18I know when I'm doing well, when I'm doing poorly.
21:20And I was doing really well.
21:22And then when I asked for support, it was like stone cold silence.
21:25They said, we have something called the Johnson Amendment
21:27that if a pastor, minister, rabbi, or imam, or anybody
21:35says anything about politics,
21:38you can lose your tax-exempt status.
21:40I said, you've got to be kidding.
21:42So that's what happened.
21:43And they were petrified of it.
21:45Remember that?
21:45Nobody even wanted to talk about it.
21:47They were absolutely, they became a different group of people.
21:51And I pledged to them at the next meeting,
21:53we had another meeting a couple of weeks later
21:55with a similar group of people.
21:56I pledged to them that if I win,
21:58we're going to get rid of the Johnson Amendment.
22:01This was Lyndon Johnson, who had a tremendous fight with a minister
22:05from, I believe it was Houston, Houston or Dallas.
22:09And they didn't like each other.
22:11And Lyndon Johnson was a very powerful president.
22:14He had good power, good strength.
22:17He ended up being very weakened by the position.
22:21But he had tremendous power.
22:23He was a big dealmaker.
22:25And he got that done,
22:26which is pretty amazing that he could get that done.
22:29Everybody fought him, but he got it done.
22:30He pushed it through, pushed it through Congress,
22:32where you lose your tax-exempt status
22:34if you even utter a word about politics.
22:37And that was amazing when I heard that that.
22:40I'd never heard of that before.
22:43And I said, we're going to get rid of it.
22:44And we got rid of it.
22:45You have got, because you're the people we want to hear from.
22:48We want to hear from you.
22:49I don't want to hear from a lot of people.
22:52I hear from too many people.
22:53But you're the people we respect.
22:55Franklin is incredible.
22:57All of the people that are up here,
22:59I want to hear from these people.
23:01And they come from a different place than me.
23:04I come from a business place
23:06where there's a lot of rough people, bad people,
23:09not really religious people.
23:11There are some.
23:12But you're the people that I want to hear from.
23:14That's why we go to church on Sundays
23:16or we go to wherever we are to listen to people of faith.
23:21And it was horrible.
23:23I said, you mean, when I heard that and I said to the other people,
23:27that means that you should be the most powerful people on Earth, in a sense.
23:31And yet you have less power.
23:33And I pointed down to Fifth Avenue, which was 68 stories below.
23:37And I said, that means that anybody on Fifth Avenue, in theory,
23:41has more power than you do.
23:43And that's not the way it's supposed to be.
23:44It's supposed to be the opposite.
23:45We have to give your voices back.
23:47And I've given your voices back.
23:49And that's one of the reasons that we see upticks now, I think, in religion.
23:53So it's very important.
23:59Remember that moment when I said,
24:00I'd love to have your support, ladies and gentlemen?
24:03And it was like dead silence.
24:05I said, there's something going on.
24:06And we figured it out.
24:07We did something about it.
24:08So thank you.
24:09Thank you very much to Paula White, too.
24:12But upon taking office, I also ended the weaponization of law enforcement
24:19against religious believers and pardoned the pro-life activists
24:22thrown in jail by Joe Biden for saying praise.
24:42And, you know, people don't realize about the Biden administration.
24:47It was a very mean administration.
24:51He's a mean guy, actually.
24:52Not a smart guy.
24:53Never was.
24:53But he was a mean guy.
24:54No, he was a mean guy.
24:56And he knew enough about what was going on.
24:58He wasn't like some of the people that surrounded him on the resolute,
25:03the beautiful resolute desk in the Oval Office.
25:06They were stone cold mean.
25:07But Joe Biden and the Biden, they were mean people.
25:12What they did to people, what they did to J6, what they did to so many people, they were mean people.
25:17These were really radical, horrible people.
25:21And he wasn't that way 20 years ago.
25:23He was never the brightest bulb in the ceiling.
25:28But he was a man who wasn't overly mean that I saw.
25:34But, boy, he became really mean.
25:37And his administration was one of the meanest we've ever had.
25:40And that's why they're out of here.
25:41And people, they're having a hard time getting jobs.
25:45And that's the way it should be because they were bad.
25:48They did tremendous disservice to this country, including allowing 25 million people from jails,
25:54from prisons, from mental institutions, drug dealers.
25:59All over the world, they entered our country from jails.
26:02The prison population of Venezuela was emptied out into our country.
26:06And that's what we're doing now.
26:08I spend so much of our time, Tom Holman and the people that have worked on this so, so hard.
26:16You know, Kristi Noem, all of them, they've worked on it so hard.
26:19It's just it's like an unforced error.
26:22And to allow people into a country who are truly there are evil people.
26:28We're all people of religion, but there are evil people.
26:30And we have to confront that.
26:31I just give my love and hope to the family of the young woman who was stabbed this morning
26:38or last night in Charlotte by a madman, a lunatic, just got up and started.
26:44It's right on the tape.
26:45Not not really watchable because it's so horrible, but just viciously stabbed.
26:51She's just sitting there.
26:52And I created the first ever Department of Justice task force to eradicate anti-Christian bias.
27:05And for those people that are a little bit naive or not well read, there is a tremendous anti-Christian bias.
27:20We don't hear about it.
27:21We don't think about it.
27:22You hear about anti-Semitic, but you don't hear about anti-Christian.
27:26Now, you have a strong anti-Christian bias, but we're ending that rapidly.
27:30I will tell you, it's a whole we're in a much different world today than we were one year ago.
27:35This is like a different world.
27:39And to support parents' rights, we're fighting, as you know, for school choice, which most people want.
27:46Most people want it.
27:47I'll tell you.
27:50Dan was responsible for getting it, along with the governor of Texas.
27:55They got it in Texas, and we helped you a little bit.
27:57They needed about 20 votes from the legislature.
28:00He said, could you make a phone call to whoever they were, the legislators, who I like a lot.
28:05But they were about 20 votes.
28:06And they had been for about 10 years.
28:08I said, all right, let's give it a shot.
28:10So I gave a big talk to the, who were they, senators?
28:15They were House members.
28:16But you also helped us defeat about 15 anti-school choice people.
28:20That's right.
28:21We defeated a lot of anti-school choice.
28:23But anyway, he got it done.
28:25So congratulations.
28:26That was a big applause.
28:27But as part of our tax cuts, we've created a massive tax credit for school choice scholarships
28:37so that you can send your child to a school that shares your values,
28:41and you get tax credits and all sorts of good things happening.
28:45And I'm also taking action against anti-Semitic and anti-Christian bias in our institutions of higher learning.
28:53You've been watching that play out.
28:55They're making very substantial settlements.
28:58And Leo's involved, and Pam Bondi's involved.
29:01We've launched.
29:06You know, we're getting hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements, Pam.
29:09And Leo called me up, sir, you can do better than that.
29:12I said, what am I going to do?
29:14I'm going to get one where he really likes it.
29:18But he always says, everyone else says, that's amazing.
29:21Except for Leo.
29:21He says, sir, you could have gotten more.
29:24Oh, good.
29:25Thanks, Leo.
29:26But we've launched sweeping civil rights and Title IX investigations into more than 60 colleges going on currently and universities to stop their violations of civil liberties and First Amendment freedoms.
29:40And, you know, we're involved very much in Harvard.
29:43That's one that people seem to be reading about more than others.
29:45We have many going.
29:47And other than having a radical left judge, we have a very radical left judge.
29:51But, you know, the appellate courts have been really good to us.
29:54So you go before some of these judges.
29:57No matter how good a case you have, you can't win.
30:00But we've had a lot of them.
30:02But we've done very well at the appellate level.
30:04And in the case of Harvard, we have an absolute radical left judge, disgraceful, should not even be there.
30:12But we have we're doing very well with Harvard and we're doing very well with all of them.
30:17And where we don't win at the lower courts, which sometimes we do some in some states, we get a very fair shake.
30:23In other states, it's not even possible.
30:25But we've done very well at the appellate level and at the United States Supreme Court.
30:29But this includes an unprecedented $200 million payment from Columbia University.
30:35Columbia paid us $200 million essentially in fines and penalties.
30:40But many more settlements are soon to follow.
30:43And they're going to be behaving because they understand we're coming back.
30:47They would not let you have your voice.
30:49They wouldn't let the people in this room, any of them have the voice, because that's not the voice they wanted to hear from.
30:53They wanted to hear from a very sinister voice.
30:57And we're not going to allow that.
30:58In recent years, we've seen far too many violent attacks perpetrated against Americans of faith, beautiful Americans of faith, including in our schools and places of worship.
31:09And you know about it more than I do.
31:12Two weeks ago in Minneapolis, a demonic killer shot 21 people and murdered the two precious children at a Catholic school.
31:21Can you believe that?
31:23Hard to believe.
31:23And time goes by and people say, oh, I sort of remember it.
31:28But I remember it.
31:28I'll always remember it.
31:29What a horrible thing.
31:31Too many happens too much.
31:34Our hearts are shattered for the families of those beautiful children.
31:37And I've made clear Attorney General Pam Bondi is working really hard that we must get answers about the causes of these repeated attacks.
31:47And we're working very, very hard on that.
31:49And the Trump administration will have no tolerance for terrorism or political violence.
31:54And that includes hate crimes against Christians, Jews, or anybody else.
31:57We're not going to allow it.
31:58And there was also a horrible killing recently in Charlotte, where I talked about, and so many others.
32:09And we will, we're going to get to the end of it.
32:12And you know, when you have horrible killings, you have to take horrible actions.
32:17And the actions that we take are nothing.
32:19We, this cashless bail started a wave in our country where a killer kills somebody and is out on the street by the afternoon.
32:28In many cases, going out and killing again.
32:31Cashless bail.
32:32And you try and reason with people like in Chicago with the governor and the mayor.
32:37You try and reason with them.
32:39And it's like you're talking to a wall.
32:40It's just, doesn't, I assume it's just a political ideology.
32:44They're not stupid people.
32:45It must be an ideology that's just buried in their head and you can't do a damn thing about it.
32:51And we'd love to go into Chicago and straighten it out.
32:54You know, Washington, D.C., you'll be happy to know, is a free and safe zone.
32:59It's so safe right now.
33:06It was, it was one of the most dangerous.
33:09Can you believe it?
33:10So, you know, you see the beautiful buildings.
33:12But we're going to also do an upgrade because a lot of the beautiful buildings have a little graffiti on them.
33:16They have roads that aren't proper.
33:17They have medians that are bad and falling down into the road, the dividers.
33:22We have things that we have to take care of and beautify.
33:27We want to beautify.
33:28Very little work will be done.
33:29I'm very good at that.
33:30That's what I really did the best in life, probably.
33:33I said, was I a better builder or politician?
33:36They said, I think you were a better builder, sir.
33:38I said, I didn't know if I was happy about that or not.
33:42But I am.
33:43I was a really good builder.
33:44And I'll fix this place up for peanuts.
33:46I'll fix it up.
33:47We'll put in new dividers.
33:50You ever notice they're all rotted, rusting and falling down on the road?
33:54Potholes all over the place.
33:55We're going to have this place looking beautiful within 12 months.
33:58Even the little white tiles in the tunnels, you know, you go through the tunnels and there's
34:07little white tiles.
34:07They've been up for about 60 years and like there's pieces missing and you can't match
34:14them.
34:14Believe me, you can't.
34:16You try and match them.
34:17It never works.
34:17You can't.
34:18They've been up 60 years.
34:19You don't get the same batch no matter what you do.
34:21But we'll take all those tiles off and you're going to have beautiful white tile tunnels
34:25again.
34:26And everything's going to be really the way it should be.
34:29Because when foreign leaders come, you know, I had to take down the tents.
34:32We had over 58 tent cities that we took down right in the middle of our parks, right next
34:37to our great buildings, Supreme Court.
34:39You'd have a tent city right there and nobody would ever tell them to do it.
34:44We had a blue tent right on Lafayette and they seemed to have a permit.
34:50And one of the fake news media was asking me the other day, what about the blue tent?
34:54What blue tent?
34:55Because all the tents you got, somehow these people were very well connected with the communist
34:59cause.
35:00And I said, there's a tent up there?
35:03Really?
35:03Yeah.
35:03And he was a friendly reporter for a change.
35:06He said, it's terrible that the tent, I said, I didn't know that.
35:09I'm surprised that I checked and there was.
35:11And we got it down very quickly.
35:14It's down.
35:15It's down.
35:15It wasn't easy.
35:18People chained themselves to a tree and this and that.
35:21But that's okay.
35:22They can chain themselves if they want.
35:23That was a tough one.
35:24That's been there for years.
35:25It's been there for many years.
35:26We took it down.
35:27It came down very quickly, Pam.
35:29So I hope Attorney General Bondi will be looking into some of these things.
35:34And I really know that some of them she is.
35:37She's done such an incredible job.
35:39You know, she's got a lot of pressure on her not to do these things by a certain group
35:42of people that I guess don't love our country or there's some ideology that they're just
35:48indoctrinated with.
35:49But she's going to do a fantastic job.
35:52And we're waiting for a call from Chicago.
35:54We'll fix Chicago.
35:55And again, D.C. is right now so safe you can go out.
35:59Friends of mine called one in particular.
36:01He's been in D.C. for a long time.
36:04And he said, I haven't gone out in four years for dinner with my wife.
36:07The restaurants were all closing because people were afraid even if they were in the
36:10restaurant, it didn't matter.
36:11They were held up.
36:12You know, guys would walk in with guns into a restaurant.
36:16And that's over.
36:17It's not happening.
36:18It's now safe.
36:19And this man said, I've gone out to dinner in the last week and a half four times.
36:23And I am so safe.
36:26My wife could meet me at the restaurant.
36:28She could walk by herself.
36:29There's zero threat.
36:30The National Guard working with the police, working with the mayor.
36:34The mayor has, you know, that's not her ideology.
36:37And now I think it maybe is her ideology.
36:40She's taking a lot of heat, too, from the radical left.
36:42You know, they don't like that she's allowing it.
36:45But look, she's going to either allow it or we'll just do it because, you know, it's just
36:49that she understands that.
36:54Now, she understands that.
36:55But I can tell you the people of D.C. are thrilled.
36:59I have never had so many people.
37:01The other day, I had a big scrum in front of me of the press.
37:06And I said, you know everybody here, or many of you have been mugged, right?
37:10And they're all going like, and these aren't people necessarily on our side.
37:13They're all going, yes, yes, yes.
37:15What about you?
37:17Yes, it's true.
37:17I was a couple of times.
37:19Every one of them.
37:19It's crazy.
37:20Not going to happen anymore.
37:22So right now, we went from a one of the most, and some people say the worst, the most violent
37:28city.
37:29Can you imagine our capital being the most violent city?
37:31But it was really bad into a totally safe zone.
37:36It's called a safe zone city.
37:37There's no crime.
37:38They said crime's down 87%.
37:40I said, no, no, no.
37:42It's more than 87%.
37:43Virtually nothing.
37:46And much lesser things.
37:49Things that take place in the home they call crime.
37:51You know, they'll do anything they can to find something.
37:54If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say, this was a crime, see?
37:58So now I can't claim 100%.
38:00But we are a safe city.
38:02You can walk to a restaurant.
38:03You can walk to the White House if you work there.
38:05You can walk to the Capitol.
38:07And even the Democrats say, I can't believe it.
38:09But they don't want to admit it.
38:10But I can't believe it.
38:11We could do the same thing in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles.
38:15We did it.
38:15We saved Los Angeles.
38:18We saved Los Angeles, Dan.
38:20You know that.
38:21Los Angeles was a mess.
38:22If we didn't send our troops in, Gavin Newsom would have had a real problem.
38:26We sent our troops, the head police officer, the top person said, we could have never done
38:33this alone.
38:34We sent our troops right in at the beginning and we killed it.
38:37And it was nasty.
38:39But we killed it immediately.
38:41Immediately.
38:42And I don't know why Chicago isn't calling us saying, please give us help.
38:45When you have, over just a short period of time, 50 murders and hundreds of people shot,
38:51and then you have a governor that stands up and says how crime is just fine.
38:56It's really crazy.
38:57But we're bringing back law and order to our country.
39:00Thank you very much.
39:30The declaration was signed as part of the grand, well, this is really a commemoration
39:38like I think we're going to do.
39:39We're going to try and do a commemoration like nobody's ever seen before.
39:43But we've invited America's great faith communities to pray for our nation and for our people and
39:49for peace in the world.
39:50And it's going to be an amazing, it's going to be an amazing time.
39:53We're going to have an amazing time.
39:54We have the Olympics.
39:56We have the World Cup.
39:58And we have 250.
39:59Okay.
40:00The supercentennial, as our men would say.
40:05But, and we're going to, it's going to be, it's going to be amazing.
40:09It's going to be maybe bigger than the both of those events.
40:12You know, when I was president, I got, I got the World Cup and I got the Olympics.
40:17I got, I got them to choose us, Los Angeles.
40:20And I was very proud of it.
40:21The only problem was I wasn't going to be president because I would have served out normally my time.
40:26And then you had some very bad people who rigged an election.
40:30And look what happened.
40:31And I end up getting the Olympics, the World Cup, and I got the Olympics, you know, because I'm a little bit of a selfish person, I guess.
40:47And I said, you know, I got the Olympics.
40:50And Obama would not call.
40:51I'll never forget the head of the Olympic Committee called.
40:54And the mayor of Los Angeles called me and he said, sir, the president will not talk to them.
41:00You know why?
41:01Because he traveled to Geneva or wherever to make the presentation.
41:05And he came in fourth.
41:07Now, a president shouldn't do that.
41:09A president should say, I will do that.
41:11I will make that journey, which has never been made before.
41:14But if I make that journey, you have to pick me.
41:17He didn't do that.
41:18That's why we had a country that was going to hell, because he didn't do a lot of things like that.
41:22So he ended up sitting there and they announced that we're fourth.
41:25We were like almost last.
41:27And so he didn't like the Olympic Committee too much.
41:30So he refused to talk to him.
41:31So I get a call from the mayor of Los Angeles who said, please, sir, would you call?
41:35We're ready to get it.
41:36But and I spoke to a gentleman and I believe it was Geneva, whatever, wherever they are.
41:43And I couldn't get him off the phone.
41:45He was so dying for love.
41:46He finally got finally got something anyway.
41:49And he agreed that the Olympics would come to the United States and I was so proud of it.
41:54And then I realized even then I said, I'm not going to be the president.
41:57And then the World Cup, we got the World Cup.
42:00I did that one, too, with Johnny and got the World Cup.
42:04And I said, I can't believe it.
42:06Can you hold it a little sooner, sir?
42:07It's all given out at all these different places.
42:10So I wasn't going to get that either.
42:12And now I got them both.
42:13And I can't say that I created 250.
42:16That one is that one.
42:18We I'd like to say I created 250 years.
42:22I can't say that.
42:23But we are going to create a great party and a great celebration.
42:26And I'd like to ask a very good friend of mine, Secretary Scott Turner, to come up and say
42:31a few words about some of the things we're doing.
42:34And Scott, please take it away.
42:36Yes, sir.
42:45Well, good morning.
42:46Good morning.
42:47So grateful to be here.
42:48What an honor it is to stand with this commission and with our president.
42:54Y'all, we're in the nation's capital.
42:57We're at the Museum of the Bible.
43:00We're together.
43:01And we're talking about faith.
43:03Did anybody else pick up on that?
43:05I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
43:07We're right here.
43:08So thank you, Mr. President.
43:10It's an honor to serve under your leadership, sir, and to be a part of this tremendous cabinet.
43:16How many know we have a godly, faithful cabinet?
43:19And a cabinet that prioritizes prayer.
43:26On July 3rd, Mr. President, of this year, you kicked off the year-long celebration of
43:31America's 250th birthday in Iowa.
43:34You invited America's faith communities to come together to pray for our country.
43:41Well, Mr. President, America's faith communities are responding with overwhelming enthusiasm,
43:46as you can see here today.
43:48Today, more than 70 major faith organizations and churches have joined together to participate
43:55in what we're calling America Praise.
43:59In fact, many of you are here today, including leaders from Pray.com, Hallowed, the National
44:05Religious Broadcasters, the Faith and Freedom Coalition, Intercessors for America, and many,
44:11many others are here with us.
44:12And I want to take a moment, if you are here today, and you have joined this faith movement,
44:17America Plays, please stand if you're here this morning.
44:20Please, if you're here, stand and let us see you.
44:24Amen.
44:25Amen.
44:29Well, together, we have our simple proposition.
44:33Think about this.
44:36What if one million people prayed for our country every single week between now and next July 4th?
44:47More specifically, what if believers all across this great nation got together with 10 people,
44:55friends, family members, colleagues, work associates,
44:5810 people each week to pray for our country and for our fellow citizens.
45:05Let that sink in.
45:07One million people every single week.
45:1010 people getting together to pray for our country and for her citizens.
45:16Think about the miracles that would take place over the next year.
45:20Think about the transformation that you and I could witness in communities all across the land.
45:28Sons returning to their fathers.
45:30Daughters returning to their mothers.
45:33Families coming back together.
45:36Health being restored.
45:37Financial needs being met.
45:39Mountains being moved.
45:41Think about it.
45:42If a million of us every week got together and prayed for this great country,
45:50how many know that God is well able to do it?
45:52Amen.
45:53Amen.
46:00We're a nation that has always believed in the power of prayer.
46:05During a constitutional convention, when our founding fathers, and many of you know this,
46:09were discussing the formation of our country, Benjamin Franklin stopped the debate
46:14and asked the delegates to pray for guidance from the Lord God Almighty.
46:19He famously said,
46:21If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice,
46:25is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?
46:30How many are grateful that God put that on the heart of Benjamin Franklin on that day?
46:34Prayer brings restoration.
46:40It rebuilds what has been broken.
46:44It ignites an indescribable power of hope within you and within me.
46:50It's a light that's felt for all of those in whom we intercede and pray for.
46:56And you've all heard faith leaders across the country quote 2 Chronicles 7.14,
47:01which says,
47:02If my people, who are called by my name,
47:06will humble themselves and pray,
47:08and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
47:11then I will hear from heaven,
47:14and I will forgive their sins,
47:16and will heal their land.
47:18On behalf of President Trump,
47:21and ultimately,
47:23the Lord God Almighty,
47:24who calls us to pray without ceasing,
47:27I am inviting all Americans
47:29to pray
47:31with unwavering faith
47:34for the renewal of our nation
47:36and our fellow citizens.
47:38Amen?
47:39Amen.
47:39All Americans.
47:40All Americans.
47:48Will you all stand with me
47:50as we rededicate America
47:54to one nation
47:56under God?
47:58Father, we thank you
47:59for this time that we have together.
48:03Lord God, we thank you
48:04that we can gather together
48:05as faithful people,
48:07as faithful leaders,
48:09as denomination leaders,
48:11as religious leaders.
48:13Father, we thank you for our president,
48:14Donald J. Trump.
48:16Father God,
48:16who you have anointed and appointed
48:18for this time,
48:19for such a time as this.
48:21Lord, thank you
48:21that the president
48:22prioritizes prayer.
48:24Father God,
48:24that he sees the power,
48:26the importance,
48:27the priority
48:28of praying together
48:29as a people,
48:30as a country,
48:31as a nation.
48:32Father,
48:32we in this place today,
48:34in this great museum
48:35of the Bible,
48:36Father God,
48:37we lift up our president.
48:38Lord God,
48:39we lift up his family.
48:40We lift up God,
48:41our vice president,
48:42our cabinet,
48:43and everyone,
48:44God,
48:44who serves
