00:00So we've got some very interesting news coming out of the Jack Draper camp and he won't be playing for the rest of the year, which is really concerning for his career going forward.
00:08He's not going to be playing the ADB Finals. He's not going to be playing any other tournaments after this U.S. Open that he just had to withdraw from.
00:14Let's go have a look at what he had to say over on Instagram.
00:16This is what Draper had to say over on Instagram saying,
00:18Hi guys, an update from me. Unfortunately, the injury to my arm is something I have to rest and means I'll be sitting out the rest of 2025.
00:26It is very difficult for me to accept as I was building some incredible momentum this year and playing some great stuff.
00:32However, I've been through this before and I always come back stronger as I'm so motivated to fulfill my potential as a player.
00:38Huge thanks to everyone who backs me to do well and supports me on my journey.
00:42Can't wait to get back out there and give it my all. See you soon.
00:45So there it is. Draper out of the rest of the year.
00:48So that means he won't be playing the ADB Finals, which he was well in the race to qualify for that.
00:52I think he was about ninth in that race. So that's really a shame.
00:55He also can't defend his title in Vienna that he won last year, which is such a shame as well.
01:00And we won't be seeing him for the rest of the season. He's had such a great season too.
01:02He started in Australia playing so well. He obviously won Indian Wells, which was massive.
01:06He made the final of Madrid. And then since the French Open, he's just been battling with this arm injury.
01:11And he did play the mixed doubles event just before the US Open.
01:14But then during the US Open, he just couldn't get it going in the second round. He had to withdraw.
01:17And now we won't be seeing him for the rest of the year.
01:19Let me know in other comments below, though. Where do you think he'll rank at the end of the year?
01:22Do you think he'll still stay in the top 10, considering he's done really, really well before this, I guess, this injury?
01:28Or do you think he's going to drop out of the top 10 towards the end of the year and maybe finish at around 11 or 12 in the world?
01:33But there it is. Draper.
01:35Unfortunately, not being able to play for the rest of the year because of the arm injury.
