00:00Porto just beat Sporting with a banger of a goal and the title race is wide open.
00:06Benfica's winning streak hides some real problems and if you bet on draws this week,
00:10you made serious money.
00:12This is Throne FC and here's the entire match day 4 of Liga Portugal in 6 minutes.
00:18Moreira's perfect record finally comes to an end.
00:20Jules Vicente looked more dominant throughout the match and a brilliant individual run by
00:25Pablo early in the second half gave them the stability to control the game.
00:29Moreira's almost equalized with an offside goal and came close again near the final whistle,
00:34but it was the man from Barcelos who struck once more, this time through Benfica low knee Gustavo Varela.
00:41Nacional picked up their first win of this Liga Portugal campaign.
00:44In the first half with few chances, they showed real efficiency in front of goal.
00:49First through Paulinho Boya and less than 10 minutes later thanks to Jesus Ramirez.
00:53In the second half, Casa Pia tried to react but they couldn't break down Tiago Margarido's
00:58well-organized side.
01:00Vitoria's poor start to the season continues, this time with a draw against Aroca.
01:05Luis Pinto made five changes from the last match and at first they seemed to pay off.
01:10Just past the half-hour mark, Gustavo Silva opened the scoring with a bicycle kick that deflected off
01:15the Aroca defense. But only three minutes later, with their very first chance, Aroca hit back.
01:21Juara continues to prove himself to be one of the best summer signings with his third goal in the league,
01:26in a moment where the keeper Charles looked like he could have done much better.
01:31In the second half, Vitoria struggled to break Aroca down while the visitors never truly committed
01:35to changing the course of the game.
01:38Another obvious match, another Parked of Us masterclass from the eternal Jose Mota.
01:44But unlike last week, Famalicom had the clarity to finally break the deadlock,
01:48even when bad luck came knocking.
01:50With half an hour to go, centre-back Leo Real was sent off after picking up a second yellow.
01:56Yet, his defensive partner made sure that slip wouldn't matter.
02:00Justin De Haas rose high above the AVS defenders and headed the ball into the back of the net.
02:06From there, he kept his composure at the back and with AVS unable to take control of the game,
02:10Famalicom left with all three points, still unbeaten, still yet to concede,
02:15and sitting alone in second place before meeting Sporting.
02:19In a match that stopped the country, Porto showed they truly have the tools to fight for the title.
02:24Both teams came out fearless, pushing to win, but by halftime the score was still level.
02:30In the second half, Sporting took more control of the game until the 60th minute,
02:34when De Jong slipped through and made no mistake.
02:37Just moments later, Porto silenced the stadium.
02:40William Gomes scored one of the greatest goals in modern classical history, leaving Sporting
02:46completely stunned.
02:47A known goal from Neu and Perez gave the Lions hope later on,
02:51but Porto held their ground under pressure and walked out of Avalad with a league lead
02:56in their pocket.
02:57This game had it all.
02:59Emotional returns, drama and stretches of dominance from both sides.
03:03In the first half, Sturil looked sharper, with André Lac-Simon setting up Beck-Rawie for the opener.
03:09After the break, the return of Ivan Cavaleiro changed the game's rhythm and Tondela equalized
03:14through a Thiago Mansu penalty.
03:16But the real chaos came in stoppage time.
03:18Cavaleiro pounced on a rebound to send a João Cardoso into absolute ecstasy,
03:23and with so little time left, few doubted Tondela would walk away with all three points.
03:29Yet, straight from the restart, Sturil struck back, with Gitan's shot deflating off Cristian
03:34marks to level the score.
03:36With Vini Jr. watching from the stands, Alverco hosted Benfica for the first time
03:41in 21 years.
03:43The Eagles started dominant and just 5 minutes in, Schilderhoop put them ahead.
03:47Right before halftime, Amar Dedic doubled the lead and it looked like the game was already decided.
03:53But, as has so often been the case in the league, Benfica ran out of steam late on.
03:58Dedic went from hero to zero getting sent off after two yellow cards, and a goal from Davi Gui,
04:04made the Benficistas fear the worst in the dying moments.
04:08In the end, the Eagles held on to keep their perfect record, but they're still far from convincing their fans.
04:14After a good week in Europe, Braga's return to the league ended in disappointment.
04:19The Greco Villa do Conde side struck first, with the inevitable Clayton converting a penalty won
04:24by André Luiz.
04:26Braga, however, weren't about to give in and Roger Fernandes leveled the score,
04:30but once again, Clayton restored Rio Hav's lead after a fine move with André Luiz.
04:35The Arsenalistas dominated the second half, creating chance after chance that put the
04:40hosts under real pressure.
04:41And just like last week, Braga managed to salvage a point, this time through Amin Eluazani.
04:47To close out the round, Santa Clara stepped out of their comfort zone and actually took control
04:52of the game.
04:52But their attack lacked chemistry, and was kept quiet by Estrela's defense, especially Luan Patrick.
04:58Offensively, Estrela offered very little, and in the end, both sides walked away with just one point.
05:05Now, let's take a look at the league table where for the first time this season, we have a clear leader.
05:10Porto sit at the top, followed by Famalicão. Sporting are now in third, with Benfica level on
05:15points but having played one game fewer. Rounding out the top 5 is Moreirenz, who will slip off the
05:20podium this week. At the bottom, Alverca, Aves and Tondela all have just one point.
05:26This week's king of the match day has to be William Gomes. The young winger has filled
05:32Pepe's shoes perfectly, helping create Porto's opener and sending every fan on their feet with
05:37an absolute screamer. The big question now is, can he keep his starting spot after the international
05:43break? Looking ahead to match day 5, the clear highlight will be the clash between Famalicão
05:49and Sporting. At the other end of the table, we have a survival battle between Alverca and Tondela.
05:55Up top, Porto will look to maintain their lead against Nacional, while their rivals Benfica host
06:00a struggling Santa Clara. Worth noting that Santa Clara will travel to Estoril on September 6th to
06:06catch up on their fixtures. That's it for today, we'll be back in two weeks, hopefully after a
06:11Martínez masterclass to erase all the recent tragedies in Portuguese football. What do you think is coming
06:17next? Can Porto hold on to the top? Will Sporting recover from their classical defeat against an
06:23unbeaten from Malicão at home? Don't miss the next episode, because we won't either.
