Storm Tapah batters Hong Kong

Strong winds and rains batter the Tsim Sha Tsui area of Hong Kong on Monday as Severe Tropical Storm Tapah entered the region with winds of up to 63 kilometers per hour.

According to the Hong Kong Observatory, Tapah was seen about 170 kilometers west-southwest of Hong Kong and was forecast to move northwest or north-northwest at about 18 kilometers per hour towards the coast of western Guangdong, China.
