00:09after you know I think will last after round 12 so it's definitely been a roller coaster of a
00:13season but I'm very grateful to be here now and a whole new comp starts and it's open for anyone

00:25you game he said this over the weekend and some some not so good that he wants to see you guys
00:30improve on I'm going to assume that you're the good part so tell me what does the side need to
00:35improve on yeah I think just some lapses in concentration through games it's probably
00:42crueled us a bit over our last month of footy I'd say and you know you just can't have those lapses
00:47come finals time and especially when it's do or die so trying to eradicate them and yeah just trying
00:53to play our best footy at the right times and yeah we're going to need it how are you feeling
00:58as you head into finals it's been a tough year from time to time you've had to navigate your own
01:03injuries but you've had a rest are you fully fresh and ready to go yeah fully fresh and really excited
01:12um yeah can't wait for the opportunity in front of us but also the challenge especially going over
01:17New Zealand um you know I think they have some of the best fans in the game and I've heard it's
01:21already sold out so um yeah I'll be very excited and can't wait it's going to be a massive occasion
01:26now Nathan I want to take you back to state of origin game three but do not worry I'm not going
01:31to talk about the match itself or the result I was in origin camp that morning at your team hotel
01:37and I saw you quietly leaving for a bit of a walk with a book in your hand and I tried to be nosy and
01:44see what book you were reading but I couldn't see tell us what were you reading then and what's
01:49being circulated in the Nathan Cleary book club at the moment
01:53yeah the books vary from time to time um yeah I was I think it was a slave at that point uh it's
02:01like a spiritual manifesto um but yeah it sort of varies from autobiographies to spiritual books and
02:08uh all sorts of stuff so um yeah trying to improve on my book reading and you know I found a real uh
02:15real enjoyment in it this year particularly on game day just to relax so yeah do you have a book
02:21in mind for this Saturday yet uh we'll have to wait and see I've got a book that I want to read
02:29it's called Essentialism um so that's next on the list but uh yeah we'll wait and see I just finished
02:34The Alchemist which is uh one of my favorites I love The Alchemist and it's always worth reading a few
02:40times now Nathan don't blame me for my next question okay so put a photo of you on Insta
02:47said you were coming up on the show again not my fault I've had a lot of rugby union fans get in touch
02:52begging me to ask you if somewhere down the line and I know you're so committed to your team and
02:59rugby league but at any point down the line do rugby union fans have a chance of getting you over
03:05uh we'll have to wait and see it's it's probably not in the plans at the moment but I'll never rule
03:11anything out I definitely want to get to my career and have no regrets and at the moment that looks
03:17like rugby league but um yeah I don't ever rule anything out and we'll see what happens Nathan I
03:22will point out that in rugby union they do this thing called a spring tour where you get to play a
03:27match in England and I know you love visiting people in England speaking of people you like
03:33to visit how is Mary's recovery going from that knee injury yeah she's going really well um she's
03:41back running on the field now and uh progressing really well through her rehab so um yeah very proud
03:46of her and the way she's attacked it and um yeah so far so good and hoping for more of the same
