00:00At the beginning of the movie, we see a sort of video game style menu, as well as the fact that it's attempt number 139.
00:07This man appears to be trapped in a time loop that resets every time he dies, and he's gone through it so many times that he has already learned the pattern by heart.
00:16By the way, his name is Roy.
00:19Every morning at 7, a man bursts into his apartment, trying to kill him and the woman he's sleeping with.
00:25He can easily dodge their attacks while getting dressed, as well as having his morning coffee.
00:30He says that it was fun for a while, but once he lost the fear, it became quite annoying.
00:36Then a helicopter, carrying a soldier with a machine gun, appears outside his window and fires into his apartment.
00:43He manages to take out the soldier while dodging the stray bullets from the machine gun.
00:47He covers himself with the couch and sees the photo of his ex-wife.
00:51The helicopter enters the apartment, and he realizes it's time to jump, since his apartment explodes.
00:58He then explains how much it cost him to figure out how and when to fall onto the truck on the street, as well as how to avoid all the traffic.
01:07Later, he steals a car and even repeats exactly what the driver says when he shouts that he's being robbed.
01:13Then, he drives to escape from two assassins chasing him in a minivan.
01:18Roy doesn't know their names, so he calls them Pam and Esmeralda.
01:22These women chase him and shoot at him all over the city.
01:26Then he mentions that after the bus, everything is pretty easy.
01:30However, he realizes he miscalculated the bus part.
01:34Next, we can see a previous attempt.
01:36He mentions it's always the same, though with slight variations.
01:39He is trapped on May 9th, but this doesn't end here.
01:44There are many more assassins who want to kill him, so he proceeds to introduce us to the most notable ones.

06:54She tells him to take her to his house and also mentions that he may have fun with many women,

08:01After activating the car's turbo, it starts going much faster, which causes Roy to miss the exit that takes him to Jake's restaurant.

08:13He was stabbing a harpoon into his chest and dragging him down the road.
08:17Returning to his present loop, he manages to reach the mall without a problem, where he sits down to read Gemma's book.
08:26He doesn't understand what the story of I Said Osiris is or what it has to do with what Gemma wanted him to understand.
08:35Then he interrupts his reading when he sees his son, Joe, buying something from an older boy.
08:40When he realizes that he's the only family he has left, now that Gemma is dead, he follows Joe into a game room where an e-sports tournament is taking place.

09:38However, the day restarts once again.
09:41He asks the man who has broken into his apartment about the tracker, but realizes he won't tell him where it is.

10:32only to be killed a second later by Roy number two.
10:36When the day resets, he interrogates Alice.
10:39She tells him that a guy named Brett hired her to implant the tracker.
10:44Roy follows his usual routine until he gets to Jake's diner,
10:47where he removes the tooth with the tracker, then takes it to an abandoned building to use it as bait.
10:53His plan works, and Pam shows up, but she refuses to say who hired her.
10:58So he ends her life with her own gun, which, according to Pam, used to belong to a certain German dictator.
11:05Roy knows that Gemma got him into this for a reason, but since he can't go back far enough to save her, it all feels pointless.
11:12The only thing he has left is revenge, so Roy enjoys his new tracker-free freedom and kills all the assassins who have been chasing him.
11:21Using the phone he stole from Kaboom, he talks to Brett and promises he will find him and Venter.
11:28Roy also drives to the labs and tries to ram the front door with the stolen car,
11:32but just crashes and Brett shoots him afterward.
11:36A series of loops then begins, where Roy keeps trying different plans to sneak into the lab,
11:41like sending his car loaded with bombs or posing as Roy No. 2, stealing his ID, and entering the lab.
11:48It takes him a few tries before he manages to learn all the tricks and avoid the guards and security cameras.
11:54When he finally finds a way to smuggle in some weapons, the guards are no longer a problem.
11:59But his next obstacle is Wan Yin, whose sword and skills are too good for him to stop with his guns.
12:05He tries several times, but fails.
12:08On one particular occasion, he doesn't die quickly and Venter finds him,
12:13giving the same long and dense speech about how he plans to reset history before killing him.
12:19It's during one of those speeches that Roy learns the name of the project, which is Osiris, and realizes two things.
12:26Venter doesn't know Osiris is working, and Gemma put him in the loop on purpose so he could use Osiris to stop Venter and his plans.
12:34He starts reading in his book that Osiris was resurrected, thus becoming the Lord of the Dead,
12:41an analogy to what is happening to him in the loop.
12:44He realizes that he is Osiris.
12:48After finding out that Gemma still believed in him, he begins a new series of loops, with a new plan.
12:53After going through the usual routine until removing the tracker in the dining room bathroom,
12:58he approaches Daifeng and asks her to teach him how to use the sword, and she agrees, because she finds him intriguing.
13:05He trains through a good number of loops until he is skilled enough to defeat Wan Yin.
13:09After thanking Daifeng for the lessons, he sneaks into the lab again.
13:13This time, he fights Wan Yin with a sword instead of his weapons, and easily blocks all her moves,
13:20after mocking her a little by cutting off her ponytail.
13:23He stabs her with her own sword.
13:25Brett and Venter arrive then, but Brett quickly dies when Roy stabs him in the forehead with the sword.
13:31He and Venter begin to fight with their fists, and when Venter tries to grab a weapon,
13:35Roy recovers his sword and pins Venter's hand to the ground,
13:38while explaining that no one should play God and rewrite history.
13:41The past should be left as it is, so that we can learn from it.
13:46Venter thinks those are big words coming from an absent father.
13:49He then mentions that Joe, his son, might be in danger, which enrages Roy.

15:07So now he begins a new plan to see if he can save her before they take her life.
15:11After restarting the day, he sneaks back into the laboratories
15:14and shoots Ventor and Brad while demanding answers from them.
15:18Brad confesses that they had been finding out what he did to the use of Osiris
15:21because it seems that she sabotaged it and now they cannot control the chain reaction that began.
15:28Ventor realizes that Roy can sneak into the facilities because the project is working,
15:33meaning that Gemma managed to finish the project.
15:36Looking at security and the cameras, Roy finds out the exact time of Gemma's death,

16:01to take him to the laboratory as quickly as possible.
16:04Once he arrives, he takes the soldier's machine gun as he sneaks into the building
16:08and uses it to take out all the assassins waiting together outside the elevator door.
16:13He arrives just in time when Gemma is being attacked by Brad.
16:16Roy does not hesitate to stylishly kill both him and Ventor.
16:21Afterwards, he manages to reunite with Gemma,
16:24who asks him how many tries it took him to save her.
16:27He lies and says it only took him one try,
16:29but Gemma sees the truth when he starts telling her all the things he knows about her son,
16:34after promising her that he is safe and that there are no assassins chasing Joey,
16:38as well as implying that he really cares about her son
16:41and that the time he spent with him made him get to know him better.
16:44Gemma explains why the machine cannot be stopped.
16:48It can only be restarted.
16:50She put Roy's specific DNA into it,
16:53so if he enters the machine, space and time should reset and resume.
16:57She tells him she didn't know it worked until he appeared and saved her,
