00:00How did you think it all went?
00:01Oh, it was incredible.
00:02Just so much energy and enthusiasm and excitement here at this conference.
00:06People couldn't see light at the end of this dark tunnel of socialism that we're currently in.
00:11And they couldn't see hope as opposed to the chaos and carnage at the cabinet table of Starmer's collapsing government.
00:19And the key message yesterday was get ready for a general election in 2027.
00:24And there's just massive energy.
00:26I'll be talking later in my speech at 3.30.
00:30Do you really think you can be ready for a general election in 2027?
00:33Well, we have to be because...
00:34You haven't got any candidates at the moment.
00:35We have to be and we will be.
00:37We've got thousands of candidates already for our May elections next year in 2026.
00:42And there's no one better, frankly, at rolling our sleeves up, getting stuck in.
00:47And we've got to basically work out, tell people how we're going to save the country.
00:51The finances are collapsing in front of our ears.
00:55Bond yields are rising.
00:56There's a moron premium applied to Rachel Reeves by the bond markets.
01:02I'm going to be talking about how we can turn that all around.
01:05Also speaking this afternoon is a man called Asimu Malhotra.
01:08He's spoken out against Covid vaccines in the past.
01:11Is reform about to become an anti-vax party?
01:14No, we're a party of free speech and expression and different views and ideas and thoughts.
01:19And that's really important.
01:20The idea that you can't talk about different ideas, different ways of looking at whatever it is,
01:25whether it's welfare, whether it's health, whether it's education.
01:28That's great.
01:29People come for the energy, the fringe events.
01:31It's been amazing yesterday.
01:32I was particularly humbled, really, to be alongside the cousin of one of the hostages,
01:40Evitar David, who we saw that horrific video of him emaciated digging his own grave.
01:46So it's been incredible here.
01:47I don't think anyone's saying that you can't have these people speaking.
01:50I suppose the question is, why have you decided to put on your main stage someone who is most well-known for speaking out against vaccines?
01:57I think because we just want to discuss different things, have different ideas.
02:01That's great.
02:02We welcome that.
02:03It makes it look anti-science, doesn't it?
02:05Completely the opposite.
02:06I mean, we're leading the way on net-stupid zero.
02:09We were sort of told we couldn't challenge that consensus.
02:12But actually now people are coming our way because they've realised it's insanity.
02:16Destroying jobs, destroying industries, makes no difference whatsoever to global CO2 levels.
02:21And actually, we would reduce CO2 if we use our own nuclear and our own gas.
02:25But is this a sign of where your policy is going on this?
02:27Are you about to say that if you got into government, you would start to stop people having as many vaccines?
02:32No, far from it.
02:33We want just to welcome debate and discussion.
02:35You're over-interpreting something.
02:37Don't panic, my good friend.
02:39It's just interesting because these sort of people don't speak at other party conferences.
02:43I'm just wondering why you've decided to put him on your stage.
02:45What's interesting is that we look at different ideas, different ways of doing things.
02:49I'm being approached by businesses up and down the country, really successful people,
02:53coming to me and saying, Richard, can we help?
02:55Can we help get you ready for government?
02:57Because we can turn this country around with good leadership, good detail behind it,
03:02and that's what we're getting stuck into.
03:04And I'll be discussing that later in my speech.
03:07Just finally, the reshuffle yesterday, I just wonder what your thoughts are on that.
03:10And Shabana Mahmood in the Home Office, she's seen as someone who has been more effective
03:15in this first year of the Labour government.
03:16Do you think that she might do a better job of trying to clamp down on illegal immigration?
03:21There's no evidence she's been more effective whatsoever.
03:23I've challenged her in the House of Commons, time after time, to deport all of the foreign
03:28criminals, blocking up our jails at huge taxpayer expense, and she's utterly failed.
03:34All I've had back is waffle, and so I don't think she'll be any more effective at stopping
03:38the boats than Yvette Cooper, who's completely failed, and now the boat numbers are up 40% plus
03:44this year, over 50,000 since the general election.
03:48Thanks, thanks, thank you very much.
