00:00Tucked away on a quiet street in Stockbridge is Indian restaurant Celestia.
00:05The restaurant opened in Edinburgh earlier this year and I went along to try it out.
00:09The restaurant itself is fairly small, but once it starts filling up, its modest size makes for a great atmosphere.
00:16Of course, we started the meal with some poppadoms and chutneys which were absolutely delicious
00:20and some of the chutneys were very different to those you're normally served at Indian restaurants.
00:25I then went for the jackfruit and sweet potato kebabs to start which stood out to me on the menu.
00:30They weren't what I was expecting at all as they were actually quite cake-like in both texture and taste,
00:35but this wasn't a bad thing as I have a bit of a sweet tooth and they were absolutely delicious too.
00:40For a main course, I wanted to keep in with that theme of trying new things
00:44and so I opted for the sag burrata, a curry I'd never actually heard of.
00:49It's a spinach and garlic curry topped with a dollop of burrata cheese.
00:53I'm really pleased I tried this curry because it was like no other I'd had before.
00:56All in all, Celestia had a lovely atmosphere and really friendly, knowledgeable staff,
01:02but it was definitely the food that was the standout on this occasion.
01:05I'd highly recommend you pay Celestia a visit if you're looking for a great Indian restaurant to go to
01:09with family and friends in Edinburgh.
