China's own DF-5C, the strategic nuclear intercontinental missile with a global strike range was seen at the Victory Day Parade in Beijing on Wednesday.
The new mobile intercontinental ballistic nuclear missile - DF-61 - was also showcased.
The landmark parade is the centrepiece of 80th Victory Day commemorations in Beijing. It began with an address and troop inspection from Xi Jinping.
Cutting edge equipment including missiles, tanks and fighter jets are all on display - with hundreds of domestically-built aircraft and hundreds more ground armaments - over the course of the 70-minute parade.
World leaders from 26 countries right across Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America are attending.
They include Russia's Vladimir Putin, DPRK leader Kim Jong-un, Iran's Masoud Pezeshkian and Zimbabwe's Emmerson Mnangagwa, as well as Slovakia's Robert Fico and Serbia's Aleksandar Vucic.
It is set to be China's biggest military parade in decades, marking the end of WW2 and the Second Sino-Japanese War.
