Conservative chair Kevin Hollinrake says Angela Rayner has "already admitted her guilt" after revealing she owes more tax on her Hove home. He claims the deputy prime minister has "misled the world of politics" and says her actions go beyond tax avoidance, adding: "This is not lawful. It’s outside the rules. I don’t see she has a leg to stand on." Report by Covellm. Like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/itn and follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/itn

00:00She's already said she's broken the rules and she owes more tax after saying she hadn't done those
00:04things. So she's actually misled the world of politics, parliament perhaps, she's actually
00:09said that directly in parliament and she's taken that moral position before. I do believe
00:15in innocent to proven guilty and I think if Angela in the past had taken that position with
00:20other people, other MPs who've been criticised or there've been allegations of impropriety,
00:26if she'd said no, innocent to proven guilty, those people should be given the time to be able to
00:31prove their case or not, then that would be different. But that's not been her position.
00:36She's taken the moral high ground, particularly on this issue, tax avoidance. And this isn't tax
00:42avoidance, it goes further than that. Tax avoidance is lawful means of reducing your taxation. This is
00:49not lawful, it's outside the rules. I don't see she has a leg to stand on in terms of whether she resigns
00:55or not.
00:56I don't know.
