Think you need to work out every day to stay healthy? Think again. A groundbreaking study of over 93,000 people found that cramming just 150 minutes of exercise into one or two days each week — the so-called “weekend warrior” approach — can dramatically reduce your risk of cancer, heart disease, and early death.
The research, published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, shows that how often you exercise doesn’t matter as much as hitting the total weekly goal of 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity. That includes activities like jogging, dancing, gardening, or even housework!
The results? :collision: Weekend warriors cut their risk of death from heart disease by 31% and from cancer by 21%. :flexed_biceps: Regular exercisers saw similar benefits — meaning you don’t have to work out daily to live longer.
But if you’re going the weekend route, be careful — cramming all your workouts into two days can increase your risk of injury. So warm up, pace yourself, and stay consistent!
Don’t let a busy week be an excuse. Your health can still thrive — even on the weekend. WooGlobe Ref : WGA200076 For licensing and to use this video, please email licensing@wooglobe.com
