Russian President Vladimir Putin says the Ukraine conflict could end with a deal if common sense prevails, and that there is light at the end of the tunnel, but cautions that otherwise it would have to be resolved militarily.

00:00We still in 1922, we have suggested to the Ukrainian authorities with respect to the people who live in the east of Ukraine,
00:12to get rid of their armies and finish this conflict immediately.
00:17I must say that in general, it didn't cause a lot of frustration.
00:23But after that, as we, according to our European colleagues,
00:30took place from Kiev, the situation changed.
00:36And we said, now we will fight until the end of our heads,
00:42or we will.
00:43I don't remember if I said it publicly or not, but it sounded like this.
00:48I remember, I already said that in 2014,
00:52to me, however, it seems to me that if the true meaning will be true,
00:59then to agree with a reasonable way to stop this conflict,
01:09it is possible.
01:10So, thank you very much.
