This little-known band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1969. The predecessor of “Kennelmus” was a band that played covers of “British Invasion” bands and surf music. Multi-instrumentalist Ken Walker changed the name of the band to “Kennelmus” (which comes from his full name) and in late 1970, together with guitarist and vocalist Bob Narloch, bassist Tom Gilmore and drummer Mike Shipp, he began recording an album. The first and only album “Folkstone Prism” was released in 1971 in a volume of 1000 copies. The author of all the themes, except one, is Walker. The music is a mixture of surf music and freaky psychedelia. The band ceased to exist in the mid-70s.
