00:00Kim Jong-un Inspects New Missile Production Line
00:03North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has inspected a new missile production line
00:07and missile manufacturing automation process, according to state media.
00:10His visit on Sunday to the missile production line came ahead of a planned trip to Beijing
00:14to attend a military parade along with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President
00:19Vladimir Putin. North Korea is under heavy international sanctions imposed over its
00:23nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs, which were developed in violation of United
00:27Nations Security Council resolutions. Experts and international officials say the sanctions
00:32have lost much of their bite amid growing economic, military, and political support from Russia and
00:37China. Kim said that the modernized production process would help increase major missile units'
00:41combat readiness, the state-run Korean central news agency KCNA said on Monday.
00:46North Korea has sent soldiers, artillery ammunition, and missiles to Russia to support Moscow in its war
00:51against Ukraine. North Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also criticized U.S. cooperation with Japan
00:57and South Korea, singling out a recent trilateral joint statement that warned of cybersecurity threats
01:01from Pyongyang. The ministry strongly denounces and rejects the United States, Japan, and South Korea
01:07for using cyberspace as a theater of geopolitical confrontation and hostile propaganda, a spokesperson
01:12said in a statement carried by KCNA. The more the U.S. persists in its anachronistic and malicious
01:17hostile acts against the DPRK through the intensified collaboration with its satellite countries, the more
01:22distrust and hostility will be piled up between the DPRK and the U.S., a spokesperson added, using the
01:27initials of North Korea's official name.
