00:00well hello everybody it is uh just approaching six o'clock it is transfer deadline day but one
00:15second the window closes at seven liam so surely there's loads more action to come uh i'm your

00:24on a deadline day that uh was a bit of a damn squib in the end i say that wolves have spent
00:2821 million pounds and maybe not but at the same time liam uh let's talk well let's talk about the
00:33income let's let's go positive first let's go on wolves have signed a striker then we'll get into
00:37it yes uh it probably happened mainly last night but they announced it today yeah there was a little
00:43bit of uh unexpected criticism about describing the deadline day signing uh describe his deadline day
00:50signing keno mate don't don't you don't you get involved as well it was announced on deadline day
00:54which is what i meant but i mean we've got bigger things to worry about than that um so do wolves
00:59yeah uh exactly um tolu arakadare um and i've i've heard him pronounce it so i believe i'm
01:05pronouncing it right um we've had this we've had this issue a few times on uh on uh with a few of
01:13these transfers but no yeah um the signing uh from genk nigerian striker uh has come in 22 and a half
01:19million pound uh is the the fee uh we've got about engine 65 000 in uh in add-ons which is a bizarrely
01:26low add-on but that is in the deal as well and uh it sounds a four-year contract with a 12-month
01:31um option to extend so look walls were desperate to bring another forward anyway with the last one
01:36staying at the club um which was always the plan of course despite newcastle's ongoing interest
01:41um they've now got a sort of six foot six he's been described on the walls website six foot six
01:45striker that comes in and adds a little bit of competition to that it'd be interesting if he
01:50tore potentially plays the two of them together as well in the the weeks and months to come but
01:54it's a um a signing that they needed really in terms of depth quality that's going to be an ongoing
02:00topic of this video which we'll we'll discuss but in terms of depth it's a position they definitely
02:04needed to bring a player in yeah look um in terms of other other signings chris dantos he's he's gone
02:09to obviously report of the interest for wolves big interest there and they've missed out on him
02:14he's gone to to crystal palace today i guess the good news is um jordan's run last and he's not a
02:19newcastle player you know he's staying at the club so obviously that's a big boost for wolves after
02:23after you know an interesting last two to three weeks in that transfer market but you look at the
02:29squad you look at as far as we know in terms of incomings they are done now uh hence why we're doing
02:33this video earlier and i know we've come on to a couple of potential outgoings as well um but you look
02:39at it and you think there's two questions there one have they got enough quality um slash match
02:44winners in in this current team and look we might not know that until a month two months three months
02:50down the line but also you look at that midfield and you look at vito pereira saying that he's
02:56desperate for a midfielder desperate for a midfielder need to have some competition quality competition
03:01for the likes of andre who he dropped already this season and xiao gomez and that hasn't materialized we
03:06know that crazy can play as a center midfielder emergency center midfielder but as you said
03:11earlier liam and in the podcast he hasn't played in the center midfield for three years so this is
03:15definitely it's you know a position they have not filled and in doing so brings a lot of pressure on
03:23the position in terms of the two that we've got there in the middle and also um they've got to hope
03:27that there's no injuries because otherwise they could be um they could be in big big trouble yeah for
03:33sure um so that there's two real sort of big uh topics there that you mentioned so let's discuss
03:39sort of depth and quality first then i'll mention midfield specifically so um i think it's unbalanced
03:46i think in terms of numbers yeah they put a good number of players in um you've put a tweet out with
03:51the um the incomings and outgoings financially as well and they've made a small profit uh almost 14
03:57million pounds um but they have spent 100 506 million pounds uh you know they are on incomings
04:04which is probably a bigger outlet outlet than we expected them to make so in terms of numbers coming
04:10in and in terms of money spent there can't be too many complaints but it's the quality that's the
04:16biggest thing and what we said all along we said after the everton game as well it's the quality um
04:21um in terms of creativity ingenuity match winners goal scorers you've lost kunya and ain't nori
04:28i don't see someone there that replaces them directly johnny arias has taken uh is taking a
04:34bit of time to get up to speed and and hasn't impressed so far hopefully he will come good um
04:39jackson tatua is quick and and has looked okay at times but is a wing back and effectively a defender
04:45um so there isn't a lot i mean fair low positions and good signs don't get me wrong rodrigo gomez is
04:51not a new sign but that's a decent start to the season but we're being picky here to try and find
04:55some positives because these players need time there isn't premier league proven premier
05:00ready players there and that's a concern when you've lost your first three premier league games
05:05and you're going into you know after the international break newcastle away and then
05:08leads at home which is a massive game already so so yeah i think in terms of quality and in terms of
05:14premier league experience it's lacking um the quality moving forward perhaps in hindsight
05:19we'll look back and think arias what a signing but at the moment he needs a bit of time and this
05:23team doesn't have a lot of time so that's the biggest concern talk about balance and numbers
05:27i think they've got too many defenders it's it's admirable that vital prayer wants uh two players for
05:33every position it's admirable i think it's a it's it's a good thing but when you bring in someone
05:37like ladislav krejci and you add another defender and you don't let someone like santi bueno for
05:41example move out or someone else move out yeah uh yes my scare obviously not getting on minutes at
05:46the moment could have easily moved out um when you're doing that and you haven't got enough
05:51moving forward or you haven't got enough in the midfield which i've come on to it it seems like a
05:55pointless exercise in my opinion and then as you mentioned going on to the midfield yeah they've
06:01dropped the ball on the midfield they really have um you allow tommy doyle and bibic
06:06to move on yes not in veto's plans i understand that and they were good moves for them to go and
06:11play but you allow them to move on before bringing someone in and then fail to bring someone in it's
06:16it's a criminal criminal it's a massive mistake um that midfield is light andre and jale gomez
06:21are fantastic don't get me wrong fantastic players but i wrote a piece i think july might have been
06:27june it was a long time ago now and i said these two players are so good that it's almost a blessing
06:33and a curse because we know they're going to play i mean no one expected andre not to play at
06:37bournemouth but in general we know they're going to play but we'll not need to bring a signing in
06:43in that area but it has to be someone who's good enough to come in for them but also doesn't
06:47necessarily mind being back up to them which i don't envy that's a difficult position to make a
06:52signing in it's not an easy thing to do but you cannot allow this window to pass you by without
06:56bringing someone in and they're massively light in that area now the options are and you've alluded to
07:00a couple of them bellegarde who i don't think has made a good start to the season in midfield
07:04when he has played there minette see but we know that vitel doesn't want to play him in a two and
07:08he's been playing 90 minutes in the front three consistently and then ladis life creates you the
07:13new signing who hasn't played in midfield for three years as simple as it's they they've made a big
07:18error by not bringing a midfielder in um if andre and jale gomez are fit and available between now and
07:24january and there's no issues then i've got away with it but if which i'm concerned about there's an
07:30injury there's a suspension there's something that happens this team is very very light in the
07:34middle of the park this team are very light in the middle of the park and like you say the play
07:39three and lost to me in the premier league as well so that um that's his own story yeah look if i don't
07:44know liam i i think um i think if you told me that this would be the window two or three months ago i
07:50would have been quite shocked really a lot of unproven talent and they need one or two to hit because
07:54if they don't hit at this moment in time then they're in massive trouble and you look at the other
07:58teams you look at the teams that we all know that we're going to be in a relegation battle i think
08:01that's fair top bottom six or bottom six side sundown have already got two wins in the premier
08:06league burnley have already got a win leeds have already got a win in a good draw you know i understand
08:11it's early days but when you're up to six points behind the uh the rest of them at this moment in
08:16time when you're going to the likes of newcastle away next in the next away game spurs away you know
08:20you've got brighton at homecoming that leeds game is absolutely massive and there's no guarantees
08:25there and then you go away to sunderland i mean goodness me that could be a relegation decider
08:30you know the seventh game of the season eighth game of the season it's it's worrying and and look
08:34i can understand the fans the fans are frustrated we're frustrated you know um and we've got to say
08:38as we see it and i don't think it's been a good enough window i don't think it is and anyone who
08:42can talk to me and say it different then i will argue with them against it and i think you you
08:46would be exactly the same it's more to come we've got plenty more to come on the podcast
08:49on thursday as we digest but everything's very raw we we expect a couple more loans to go out
08:54today liam as well if not maybe tomorrow um do you want to just in kind of like just let us know about
08:59that so far yes um obviously we're recording this a little bit before the window so there may be some
09:05movement while this video is coming out or once it's been published so just keep an eye on our

09:13uh as things develop but there are two players as it stands uh that are looking to get
09:17low moves away sasha kolajic as i reported yesterday on sunday as well would be the
09:21player that was allowed to move um wolves have to move him out as well because signing arakadari
09:27means they have to have a space free for him and the squad and they currently don't have one so
09:31sasha has to go left out the spot in january and then the last one to leave in uh on the world um
09:37and and hwang had some interest it could have been him at certain points during this window and towards
09:42the end of the window but it hasn't and he's going to stay as it stands and it will be sasha
09:46that moves on um there's an op there's a chance he moves before 7 p.m but it's now becoming
09:51increasingly more likely that he may get a move uh once this window is is closed i'll explain why
09:56because there's several countries i've got a list of them here which i'll read out to you
09:59several countries that um have their windows open a bit later uh than the premier league so the premier
10:04league championship what if i in general uh germany italy france are all the same 7 p.m today
10:09scotland spain portugal a bit later tonight um again probably not impossible but maybe unlikely
10:16that he goes to some of those but there are several that are open for a few more days um
10:21the dutch league is open for an extra day uh belgium and switzerland are next monday austria is this
10:27friday that's an interesting one austria because of course he is an austrian has played there before
10:31it could go back there saudi pro league um there's a couple different reports some saying september 10th
10:37some saying september 23rd a little bit unclear by the way it's over for a little bit longer they'll
10:42to change it wherever they want their lives they do change it around quite a bit hence why there's a
10:45confusion uh almost every window there's a bit there's a confusion after when there's when there's
10:49closes turkey and greece um september 12th um the serbian league september 17th so there's a lot of
10:56different uh areas uh and countries that sasha could still move to and that is the plan if he doesn't go
11:02today to a league that is closing uh their their window today he is expected to go to a different
11:09country and league where it's still open and then the other player that is included in that will be
11:13pedro lima um we understand that he's not been named in the brazil under 20 squad i don't believe
11:19that's out there at the moment yet but we can say that that we believe that he's not been called up
11:23to the brazil under 20 squad for their uh under 20 world cup which is in september and october um
11:29that was what was holding him back from going on alone previously we knew that wrexham were interested
11:33there were other clubs in the championship in league one that were interested um but it was not
11:38happening really because of him potentially being called up and it probably would have happened in
11:42january instead now because he's not going they're trying to get him alone as soon as possible um i'm
11:47led to believe that there's a club in europe um that are getting quite close to having this done but we
11:53also know there is some interest uh at home here in in the uk as well so we'll bring the latest on
11:58pedro lima as soon as we can when we know the club where he's going but they're hoping to get him
