00:00It felt like it was from a horror movie.
00:23You couldn't believe that it would happen here in South East Queensland.
00:33You kind of have a really awful feeling in the pit of your stomach.
00:37What's inside the toolbox?
00:41And there was a moment where the crane just brings up this toolbox, just swinging in the
00:49air.
00:50It's one of the most horrific crimes that we've covered.
00:57To me, this is pure evil.
01:07This was a case that we thought was finished, but it wasn't.
01:13The murder convictions have been overturned on appeal.
01:20That police video, it's as chilling as it gets.
01:27In the pitch black, the dark of night.
01:34This dark secret that would shock not just hardened police officers from the highest levels, right
01:41through the community.
01:42It really was the stuff of nightmares.
01:48You've got the detective in the pink shirt, Nicole Tonks.
01:55And the man that is really leading the party, he has handcuffs on, Tarangi Thomas Tahiata.
02:02You have to think she would have had a sense of apprehension.
02:09Walking down a dark path, Tahiata, he's just spilled his guts at the police station.
02:16Tahiata Tahiata, he's just spilled his guts at the police station.
02:23So they head to Scrubby Creek, really an isolated, dark part of Logan, maybe 15 minutes from the
02:30city centre.
02:31Tahiata Tahiata Tahiata Tahiata Tahiata, he's just spilled his guts at the police station.
02:46So they head to Scrubby Creek, really an isolated, dark part of Logan, maybe 15 minutes from the
02:51city centre.
03:00He's got an area notorious for dumping rubbish, dumping stolen cars.
03:13This time, however, it was bodies that were dumped, submerged in a toolbox 14 days ago.
03:23He's describing the final moments of the victims.
03:30Two friends, both parents with loving families, but sadly just mixed up with drugs.
03:42The murder of Corey Breton and Ileana Tuskaru will remain with me forever.
03:53Seeing some of the things that these people have done to Corey and Ileana, sometimes questions what is humanity?
04:05It's definitely a story that stays with people because it just is one of the most horrific crimes that we've covered.
04:23No one could believe that this would happen in Logan, South East Queensland.
04:36Queensland is known as the Sunshine State and Brisbane, the capital of Queensland in Australia, really the beating heart of that state.
04:49Just 20 minutes south is Logan.
04:52Another 20 minutes south is the Gold Coast, which is heaven on earth.
04:58Brisbane and the Gold Coast could be on the other side of the planet.
05:04That is how different they are to Logan.
05:07It falls between the cracks.
05:13Nine News Queensland.
05:15Good evening.
05:16A mother of seven is among six people charged with murder over the killing of a man and woman at Logan.
05:22The pair was bashed, tortured, shot and stuffed in a toolbox before being dumped in a dam.
05:28A macabre end to a savage crime.
05:31At a Kingston dam, a crane swings a tradie's toolbox from the water.
05:36It became a makeshift coffin.
05:40This will have a long lasting impact, a shattering impact on the lives of everyone involved.
05:48The police officers, the lawyers, the families, anyone who listened to it.
05:53How could you not be impacted by the brutality of this case?
06:08They've had to use cranes and things to actually remove the box from where it was
06:11because it was sort of wedged in mud.
06:15A number of things have been placed on top.
06:17Rocks.
06:18Try and hold it down.
06:20It took them quite a large amount of time to actually extract the box from there.
06:33We were sitting there in the newsroom.
06:35The helicopter went up and we could see pictures watching the screen.
06:40And the crane just brings up this toolbox just swinging in the air.
06:46So as these images were coming in, they were quite chilling.
06:59And our first thoughts were, what's inside the toolbox?
07:02I'd never seen anything like it.
07:07The thought that there could be, and then there ended up being two people inside that toolbox
07:13in what was really a makeshift coffin.
07:15It was just horrifying.
07:16It's not something that happens every day where two people get tortured, bound and put into a large toolbox
07:28to ultimately be murdered.
07:30It's probably one of the most horrific cases I've ever had to deal with.
07:39Involving two people.
07:41And over what later we found to be something such a trivial matter in which it was perceived to have occurred over.
07:52It's mind boggling.
08:04It all began in this nondescript unit in Logan called the TAV,
08:09where a group of drug sellers and users gathered to smoke ice on the afternoon of January 24th.
08:15It's a unit complex. It's commonly referred to as the TAV.
08:24A place where they have all gone to hang out, party, drink and just socialise generally, including drug use.
08:33Hanging out at the TAV that day was Stowe Daniels.
08:40He's the 21-year-old New Zealander.
08:42A big guy, intimidating guy. He was the boss.
08:46Also there was his trusted lieutenant, henchman, 22-year-old Trent Thrapp.
08:52Also there, New Zealanders, Davey Tao, he's 21.
08:56And 24-year-old Tarangi Thomas Tahiata.
08:59The man in that police video that led them, obviously, to Scrubby Creek.
09:04Others who came to the apartment were Waylon Walker, just 22.
09:09Webster Latu, 31.
09:12Tapuna Tapuna Mariri.
09:15Gadakuna Morayedi.
09:18Leland Harrington, who actually lived at that apartment, at the TAV.
09:22And Corey Breton, a 28-year-old father of one.
09:27Plus mum of three, Yuliana Triscano.
09:31Corey and Yuliana were lured to the TAV.
09:35And, sadly, by the end of the day, they would be dead.
09:42The level of cruelty in this case reflects, in my view, pure evil.
09:47I was horrified by the cruelty, the sadism, and the complete disregard for human life
09:53in relation to the murder of these two individuals.
09:59But I can't think of any case quite like this in my 47 years of practice.
10:05This must be one of the most horrific homicides I've not only witnessed through the media, but also read.
10:24I recall seeing when the toolbox was recovered from the creek and hoping that it would be empty.
10:30And, unfortunately, it wasn't.
10:35It's just terrific to think that two young people, over nothing, were murdered.
10:55What we know about Corey is that he was a regular suburban guy.
11:07He loved sport, he loved his family, he owned his own house, he had a business.
11:12But he did slip into drug addiction, methamphetamine, ice.
11:24My name is Lara.
11:25Yuliana's my sister-in-law, and we call her Tabby.
11:29I introduced Yuliana to Corey, because Corey was one of my friends as well.
11:33But, like, I didn't know the extent of what he was involved with.
11:37He owned his own house, he owned his business.
11:40He had a wife.
11:41He loved his daughter very much.
11:43Corey loved his little girl.
11:47He wasn't your typical drug user or drug addict.
11:50He was a high-functioning drug user, I suppose.
11:53But his morals never changed, Corey's morals never changed.
12:00Corey, up until about a year before his death, he was a successful young man with a pro-social attitude.
12:08He had acquired a home at a young age.
12:10He had a family.
12:12And then, for some reason or other, he began using ice.
12:17And it's a very graphic example of how this drug can grab people.
12:21And he then slid into, it would seem, a world of addiction
12:25and a world of associating with undesirable people who were supplying the drug to him.
12:30It's a classic example of what ice can do to people.
12:33Those in the community who tut-tut about drug use, it can happen to anybody.
12:42Tabita is Juliana's middle name.
12:45She's feisty, that's for sure.
12:47Whenever she's around, it lights up everyone's day.
12:51And she was a resilient person.
12:54To come from Romania, to move here, from that life, she made it work.
13:00She has three beautiful children and even that didn't stop her from being with her brothers and her family, you know.
13:08I reported Juliana missing on her birthday because that was just become bizarre, like, for Juliana not to even come home for her birthday.
13:17The level of cruelty in this case reflects, in my view, pure evil.
13:32Six people charged with murder over the killing of a man and woman at Logan.
13:38The pair was bashed, tortured, shot and stuffed in a toolbox before being dumped in a dam.
13:53Incredibly, this all started with one blurry photo.
13:57The store owner of Stowe Daniels was at a convenience store that Corey frequented.
14:04So the store owner of that convenience store was actually an old school friend of Corey's.
14:10He asked Corey where he sourced his drugs, to which Corey just simply replied, islanders.
14:16The store owner later texted Corey that photo, that grainy photo of Stowe Daniels.
14:25Asking, is this him?
14:30And Corey replies, yeah, that's him.
14:34He's a big-timer.
14:35Not a person to be f***ed with.
14:38LOL.
14:39Police identified Stowe Daniels to be the leader of the group.
14:52He seems to be the controller.
14:55Everybody looked up to him.
14:56Everybody took his orders.
14:58When he spoke, they came.
15:00When he called them, they came.
15:02Davey Toe was one of his lieutenants, so to speak, with Trent Throp being one of his other enforcers.
15:12Where all the others seemed to hang around because of drugs, basically.
15:22Corey made a fatal mistake.
15:25He showed the photo of Daniels that was on his phone to another man.
15:29And that man was Leland Harrington, central to this investigation.
15:35Harrington then tells Daniels, and that is when Stowe Daniels goes absolutely ballistic.
15:46In his mind, he conjures up this fake reality that Corey is a rat.
15:51That he's actually working with police.
15:53And that could not have been further from the truth.
15:55When it comes to Juliana, I think this is one of the most tragic elements of this case.
16:03Because she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
16:09She happened to be with Corey when he showed Harrington the photo of Stowe Daniels.
16:14So Daniels believes that Corey is this rat, is this police informer.
16:20So he instructs and probably bullies Leland Harrington into luring the two of them, that is Corey and Juliana, to the TAV.
16:29It was known for a place that these drug users would hang out.
16:37On face value, she really had no reason to be suspicious, because Corey was her friend.
16:41And it was a text coming from him.
16:43Or so she believed.
16:44Mr Harrington said he was called to get Corey there, to have a talk, have a chat.
16:52So Mr Breton had no idea of what was to occur.
16:56No idea of what possible motive was behind this.
17:00Daniels, he's upset that his photograph's out there.
17:04And that's the reason why he summonses Juliana and Corey to that unit that day.
17:11And unfortunately that's where their lives were lost.
17:20The paranoia again goes back to use of illicit drugs, specifically ice.
17:24They become paranoid.
17:28That's the only thing we can come back to.
17:30I mean, it's an old trope, never use your own product.
17:39So meth produces paranoia.
17:42It also is highs and lows and crashes.
17:47So your decision making is impaired.
17:54Your paranoia is heightened.
17:56And when you've got multiple people on meth feeding ideas to each other, that paranoia will jump again.
18:15Thanks to one of the most exhaustive police investigations imaginable.
18:19We now know what happened inside that unit.
18:23We've got a really clear picture of what happens at the TAV.
18:31Evidence includes seized CCTV from in and around the apartments.
18:35And that includes from street cameras as well, picking up the comings and goings from the unit.
18:41Corey Breton's, he arrives in his Pajero, the Silver Mitsubishi Pajero.
18:49He drives into the unit complex through the main gate.
18:51He has his arm out the window.
18:53Corey Breton, upon arriving, was beaten.
19:07Bound with zip ties.
19:11Stabbed in the leg, tortured.
19:12Repeatedly questioned by Mr. Daniels over the photo located on his phone.
19:27It was at that point that Ileana was contacted to come to the TAV.
19:31The CCTV shows Ileana coming in through that back gate and what she's last wearing.
19:41It is at that point that's the last time she's seen alive.
19:43Upon her arrival, she wasn't subject to the same violence that Mr. Breton was, but she was bound.
20:06The zip ties, zip ties were placed around their throats and tightened.
20:15Then they were held restrained on a couch in the unit complex.
20:25Now she has no part in this.
20:27Let's be reminded of that.
20:28She's got no part in this.
20:29She's just an occasional person that Corey knows.
20:35However, she's lured to that unit and they're beaten about.
20:44They were lured to a drug den.
20:47They were zip tied.
20:48They were tortured.
20:50They were begging for their lives.
20:53All while their tormentors were partying.
20:56From the autopsy report, Corey's arm was broken, fractured in a number of places.
21:05So he'd been severely beaten.
21:08A young mother, inevitably pleading for a life.
21:15Thinking about her young children and so.
21:18To me, this is pure evil.
21:19These people are sarcopaths, clearly no remorse, no empathy.
21:27Bad, not mad.
21:32People kept arriving at the unit.
21:34There were nine in the end, in this unit, in the TAV.
21:37Plus the two victims.
21:39The hours were dragging on.
21:40There was drinking, people were taking ice.
21:49Daniels and his enforcers were doing the torturing.
21:54But the others were there.
21:57But they did nothing.
22:00There was a woman there, Mariati.
22:03And she was there to buy drugs.
22:08She knew the woman who was due to be murdered there.
22:11Children knew one another.
22:13She was a mother of seven children.
22:15And she finds ice in the bra of the woman who's going to be killed.
22:20They were friends.
22:23They looked after each other's children.
22:26And not only was she prepared to be part of this murderous plot,
22:32but in the days afterwards, she lied to Yuliana's family,
22:36telling them that Yuliana was fine.
22:40That level of deception is beyond most of us.
22:45So maybe in an act of bravado, maybe in an act of trying to petrify them,
22:55a big metal toolbox is brought upstairs and placed in front of them.
23:04You can't imagine what is going through Corey and Yuliana's minds at that point.
23:08And they are forced into the box.
23:25Sometime that afternoon, Yuliana managed to free herself from the toolbox.
23:32And she was in the confines of the lounge room.
23:35This is such a critical moment.
23:38This is when Yuliana escaped from the toolbox.
23:41She saw Leland Harrington.
23:43Now, remember, Leland's the one who first showed that photo to Stowe Daniels.
23:49So he saw her escape and she motioned to him.
23:53Did he? No.
23:56He yelled out, she's escaping, she's escaping.
23:58They threatened her, assaulted her and placed her back in the toolbox.
24:13And Thrup then sat on that toolbox to prevent her from escaping again.
24:19So, Mariette, she's sent by Stowe Daniels, the ringleader, to a hardware store to get some alcohol and also to get some cleaning products.
24:32So, at this stage, now we are sort of seeing what the future holds.
24:36They tried to clean up blood and other items from inside the unit complex to try and hide what they'd been doing and the torture of Corey Breton.
24:47Obviously, he'd been stabbed in the leg.
24:50There's blood.
24:52So, they've had to clean up a lot of things.
24:55Once they've finished cleaning up all the blood and evidence, they've, you know, they've wiped everything down.
25:01Bleach, you name it.
25:03It was all placed into plastic bags on top of them in the toolbox.
25:06There was a culture of fear within this group.
25:15Some of the people in the group felt that if they didn't go along with this, that they might be next.
25:20They were worried they could be in the toolbox next.
25:25Take Tapuna Tapuna Mariri, for example.
25:27He was ordered to assist in this torture, right?
25:29And his job was to make the TAV soundproof, really.
25:33To shut the doors, to shut the windows.
25:36Ultimately, to drown out the victim's anguished cries.
25:45Later on that afternoon, that toolbox was carried to a ute.
25:50So, Stowe Daniels realises, alright, something needs to be done.
25:54So, he gets the toolbox and loads it onto the back of a ute.
25:58Members of that group then disguised the noises coming from the inside of the toolbox because you could be hear the kicking and screaming.
26:10And you would imagine that it would have been loud screaming and loud kicking because you are kicking for your life.
26:16And so much so, and this is where the devious part of this investigation comes to.
26:22So, the offenders turned music up loud to disguise the noise.
26:28Another young lady, a witness walking home from work, heard screaming and kicking but wasn't aware where it was coming from.
26:44But later told investigators that it was possibly coming from a ute driving up the driveway out onto the roadway.
26:56So, Daniels says, alright everyone, let's get into six vehicles and that includes Corey's, the car that he actually drove to the unit in.
27:14One issue is, he doesn't tell everyone where to go.
27:16Right, so they all take off in different directions.
27:19Police were able to obtain images of Mr. Tahata's Green Hilux utility with a large toolbox held down by a number of straps, heading southbound initially and then heading northbound back.
27:39So, police, with the help of CCTV, were able to track the ute which eventually led them to the destination, led them to Scrubby Creek.
27:49This is their last moments live, this is Hume Door CCTV shows, this is the last vision we get of the green Toyota Hilux with Ileana and Corey in the back in the toolbox.
28:12You have to wonder if they understood where it was going.
28:16And I think a number of them did say they thought it was just a boot ride.
28:20I think that was the term they used.
28:24That the two of them, Corey and Ileana, were going to be put in the toolbox, taken for a drive and scared, you know, given the fright of their lives.
28:32Maybe they didn't fully understand where it was going.
28:36And it must have been absolutely terrifying for the two victims, concealed in a toolbox and all they could see is each other's feet.
28:55It would have been dark, it would have been dark, it would have been hot, hard to breathe.
29:00And then knowing that they're on the back of a utility being driven to where they don't know what's going to happen to them.
29:13Well, Corey and Ileana in that toolbox and the captors who really hold their fate in their hands are driving, they've pulled down this bumpy road headed to this creek.
29:30Corey and Ileana are still begging, pleading for their lives.
29:40It must have just been awful for them.
29:47Tahiata at this point pulls out a gun and he fires a warning shot into the air, hoping that this would silence them, but they just screamed for their lives even more.
29:57They were being dragged out into the water in this toolbox all the while they were kicking, they were screaming for their lives, they were begging to be let out.
30:20So the toolbox hits the water, but it doesn't sink.
30:28According to Tahiata, they were on top of the box, hitting it with a hammer, trying to get it to sink.
30:38At the time it's believed that they were still alive and pleading to be let go.
30:47They've sunk the toolbox.
30:50Frups could hear the screaming and kicking and he says out loud, time to die.
31:07Corey and Ileana, they were being dragged out into the water in this toolbox.
31:12Frups could hear the screaming and kicking and he says out loud, time to die.
31:18Frups clearly engaged in the process.
31:25He's crossed the Rubicon now, comments like it's time to die, we are the executioners.
31:31He's feeling empowered by what's going on, maybe a little bit excited by what's about to happen.
31:52To try and understand what people were thinking at the time, all I can describe it is drugs, illicit drugs, specifically ice.
32:09Not only does it warp people's minds, it just changes, it just changes people completely.
32:24My team seem to lose their sense of humanity.
32:27This is not something a normal human being does to people.
32:38There are often bizarre things that you hear about in cases like this.
32:43And one of those instances was when Tahiata and Thrup were there at Scrubby Creek putting the toolbox into the water.
32:50Tahiata was also in a conversation with his girlfriend about a McDonald's McFlurry.
32:58And a couple of metres away from him, he's just ensured two people will die.
33:10He's having a conversation with his girlfriend about Maccas
33:13and his alibi about going four-wheel driving somewhere, yet not disclosing where he is.
33:24Now you'd have to think, if you hear the screaming and kicking, that they're still conscious, obviously.
33:30And yet being told time to die.
33:32To me, it's barbaric, inhumane, and just a bad way to die.
33:50Those final moments of terror, as that toolbox was sinking, the water coming in,
33:54investigators have said that they might have been alive for 10 minutes.
33:5810 minutes to face your death.
34:11That's a long time, that's a long time.
34:16But you have to understand small-time drug dealers, paranoia,
34:21never sure who was your friend, who was your enemy.
34:28I'm Associate Professor Mark Locks, I'm an expert in organised crime and outlaw motorcycle gangs.
34:38You're in a high-pressure, paranoid environment.
34:43If you're taking your own drugs, it's many, many, many times more paranoid.
34:49And their imagination run right, and they feel that they need to protect their position.
35:04I'm Dr. Claire Ferguson, I'm an Associate Professor at Queensland University of Technology,
35:09and I'm a Forensic Criminologist.
35:12From their perspective, especially if you're talking about paranoia and drug-affected sort of thinking.
35:20Once you've lured them somewhere, and you've seriously assaulted them, you've tied them with zip ties,
35:33you've locked them in, confined them in a toolbox for a period of time,
35:37and you're not getting the information that you want to get,
35:41there's not a lot of places you can go from there.
35:44It's either release them and risk them immediately going to police,
35:59or what happened here, which is kill them.
36:03Neither are great options when you're hoping to avoid prison.
36:08Your judgement is gone. Is this going to be a good idea?
36:23Yeah, I think a decision you would never have made sober becomes quite reasonable.
36:27So, after dumping the bodies, what do they decide to do?
36:38They believe acting natural is the best course of action.
36:42Let's just pretend like nothing happened.
36:45So what do they do? They go back to the TAV, they go back to the scene of the crime.
36:49And they drink, and they smoke, and they have a party.
37:01Who's been robbed?
37:14From CCTV footage I collected from the Jewel Street complex you can see them coming.
37:20They return with a number of alcoholic drinks after the deed has been committed.
37:26been committed Tahiata and Thrupp only 10 minutes ago had dumped Corey and Yuliana into
37:36scrubby creek and they were pretending like nothing had happened they drove straight back
37:40to the tab and started partying their next big plan their next big idea is hey maybe
37:49we shouldn't hang out at the scene of the crime anymore so the gang relocate to a unit
37:55in central Brisbane to essentially hide out
38:04this is not something a normal human being does to people
38:08but you have to understand small-time drug dealers paranoia once you've lured them somewhere
38:16and you've seriously assaulted them there's not a lot of places you can go from there
38:25a couple of days after Corey and Yuliana went missing their families made a public appeal for
38:38information but it didn't get a lot of attention because at that point police weren't sure where they
38:45were had they taken off they didn't realize the the seriousness of why they weren't in contact with
38:52their families to not hear from him for him to stay away from his little girl for this amount of time
38:59is it's not only heartbreaking but puzzling in itself
39:07at the time we knew that these two people Corey Breton and Yuliana Tuscaru were missing
39:12they'd been missing for some time police had put out a number of alerts
39:17very good mom and the kids all night crying and asked me where mommy where mommy and i'll be happy
39:26just one call to mama i'm still alive nothing adds up it doesn't link together it's very
39:36it's like a big puzzle that's missing a lot of pieces and we we just we just want to know that he's okay
39:47so once the pressure starts to be put on that group the families appeal police are now starting
39:55to investigate that's when the cracks start to appear
40:08so by this stage police were searching for a third missing person that is Leland Harrington
40:14he was living at the unit where all of this horrific scene really did take place
40:28he was the man that told Daniels about that photo on Corey's phone
40:35but he was also the one that stopped Yuliana from escaping from that toolbox
40:39it's essentially sealing her fate
40:46he was missing as well as the victims
40:51a number of statements were taken from a number of witnesses
40:55this led to police to attending an address in logan central of Leland Harrington's sister
41:01which he was located at that address as a result of Leland being located and assisting police with
41:10their inquiries it ramped the police and homicide investigation up
41:16among the details that Harrington told police one of the interesting and again showing how badly planned
41:23out this event this murder had been at scrubby creek where they put the toolbox into the water
41:31there's an overpass that's quite near it hundreds thousands of cars would have driven back and forth
41:37you know over the days
41:38as a result of speaking to mr harrington was identified that mr mariri had driven past on the logan motorway
41:53and those the toolbox had been floating
41:56mr mariri advised people that it's actually floating so they've had to go back and put some rocks on top which is
42:09what police divers located when they found the box it was weighed down by a number of large rocks
42:15it really beggars believe that one of the gang had seen the toolbox and they decided to go back and cover
42:22the tracks they just had no regard at all for two bodies that were inside their only thought was with
42:28let's try and cover this up
42:38many offenders don't bother to do anything to try to avoid detection they just hope for the best and
42:46then deny we know in the toolbox case there was a lot of detection avoidance right like attempting to
42:54get rid of these bodies permanently
43:00and going back to try to remove the toolbox from being cited that's a lot of risk that these offenders
43:09are taking because
43:13they understand that there are going to be those direct links
43:18between themselves and the murders if they're discovered
43:26a solid breakthrough by police was the confession of tahiyata
43:30he was the one that drove the victims to scrubby creek and with the assistance of another pushed them in
43:44he was also the one that led detective tanks through the marshes through that sort of swamp land
43:50to where the bodies were
44:02the smoking gun in this brief when you look at it that um there's there's nine people there's always
44:08a weak link in that nine and tahiyata was targeted
44:14the one that informed police of what had happened and used that information and evidence against the others
44:28the arrests came at gunpoint soon after they were driven into the watch house
44:35interviewed charged then two accused very quickly became six they appeared in court three at a time
44:42five men stew daniels davy maloo jr tayo trent michael thrupp webster lato
44:49tirangi thomas tahiyata and one woman ngata kuna moretti they're all charged with murder
45:03the scale of the toolbox murder case was enormous there were nine defendants they were all on different
45:09charges so the charges range from things like torture deprivation of liberty man slaughter and murder
45:26if we needed another example to prove just how amateurish this group was and particularly
45:33the ringleader daniels he was a complete and utter rookie at this and this is a massive example of why we say that
45:46it was an own goal by daniels when he had his blackberry phone confiscated and taken by police
45:54my immediate reaction as soon as i've opened up that back cover is his passcode oh my god what have we got
45:59here normally in police investigations with if you've got a secure network and a password you're looking at
46:07people trafficking drugs um so that's immediate thought and what else have they said
46:13if they're using an encrypted network um what else have they may have said over that network
46:18i've never come across anybody in my career with a passcode on the back of a mobile phone
46:28and uh that would have been a gold moment for the investigators because they are very difficult to
46:34break into and obtain files particularly if they're encrypted jackpot it's a treasure trove for police
46:42inside this blackberry were all the incriminating messages that authorities needed
46:52this was a case everyone thought it was done and dusted and then a twist that no one saw coming
46:59the murder convictions of a trio sentenced to life behind bars have been overturned on appeal
47:05my reading of it is an error in the instructions that were given to the jurors i think they deserve to
47:12be behind bars for the rest of their lives there's no fairness in any of these things that is a shocking
47:20outcome
