00:00We're officially off-grid. Yeah. Yeah, we're back. Season two, baby. Whoa. We are back in Selkirk, Manitoba.
00:07It's about 20 minutes from Winnipeg. We are at the Selkirk Marine Museum. It's actually a lot bigger than the pictures looked. Once you're standing next to it. Yeah, it's huge.
00:17I did not expect it to be this big. This place has seen a lot of activity due to its connection to the tragic sinking of the Susanie on Lake Winnipeg in 1965, where nine people died.
00:27During that storm, when it totally sank and the crew were floating and fighting for their lives, that ship was 200 feet away.
00:36I have a lot of stories. And let's just say it's kind of amazing that I'm still here.
00:40Are you steering the ship out of me now, too? Yeah.
00:44Oh! Can you do it again? No reason why that should be happening. Oh, that's creepy.
00:49This will be where she saw those red eyes. Whoa. What happened? Felt like something touched my leg.
00:54What the was that? Uh, yeah, I'll stay.
00:57The chill just ran down my spine.
00:59My heart's going.
01:01Everything around us is made of energy, even our own bodies.
01:09When we die, where does that energy go?
01:13Here, we search for electrical impulses away from the built infrastructure.
01:19Locations without electricity. Off the beaten path.
01:22Where we seek out the paranormal.
01:25Last season in our investigation at Loney Beach, we recorded some pretty strange results that led us to the tragic sinking of the Susanie.
01:40At the time, we were led to believe we had made contact with a presence named Peter, one of the nine souls lost in the tragic sinking.
01:48Peter.
01:49Peter.
01:50While not knowing much about Peter, we were still able to correlate many of our findings to that accident.
01:55This led us to believe that if we returned to the area, we might uncover something definitive.
02:00So, for the start of this season, we decided to investigate the ships associated with the sinking of the Susanie and headed to the Marine Museum in Selkirk, Manitoba.
02:09This is the first time I've ever heard of this place.
02:11I've never been to the museum. I've never seen it before even.
02:13No, I just saw the pictures online.
02:15It looks like the boats are a decent size, which kind of is shocking because when you think of just like anywhere in Manitoba, just lakes, you wouldn't think that there's these big boats on the lakes.
02:25Or like the Susanie.
02:27Your Susanie, yeah.
02:28The capsizing in the water, like.
02:31And we've had like a run in with that story too last year, so that's super interesting.
02:36We are back in Selkirk, Manitoba. It's about 20 minutes from Winnipeg.
02:40We are at the Selkirk Marine Museum.
02:43The museum is basically a collection of old ships that are significant to the area, to Selkirk, to Manitoba, Lake of the Woods.
02:50Some of these ships went from Selkirk, Manitoba up to, I believe, Tehecla even.
02:56Transporting goods, transporting people, doctors, that kind of thing.
02:59I don't know if it said which boat the actual artifacts are on from the Susanie.
03:05Yeah, I'm wondering. I just feel like they'd be in the Kenora.
03:09Just by how big it is?
03:10I feel like they just have more stuff in there.
03:12Yeah, like the Bradbury, it's not as big, nearly as big.
03:16That, I have more questions about that one right now, because I know the least about it.
03:20Yeah.
03:21And the Lady Canadian, that's only the one that I know of, that they were trying to be rescued by that boat.
03:26It's actually a lot bigger than the pictures looked, once you're standing next to it.
03:31Yeah, it's huge. I did not expect it to be this big.
03:34It's not for a boat that you just see on the lake.
03:41I wonder what that's from.
03:42There it is. Lady Canadian.
03:44Oh yeah, the Lady Canadian.
03:51It's not just that you enter every ship from the ground and going up to each individual ship.
03:55They're all connected through planks.
03:57All the ships here are very significant to the area and have a lot of history and people still to this day have family members or people are still living that, you know, have memories of being on these ships.
04:12We have here with all these ships having their own story, some of them intertwining with other ones and all side by side is very unique.
04:19You know, in so many different locations, we get to meet amazing people.
04:24And this time we had Shay. This place has been around for 50 years and she's been here for 30 of them.
04:30So she's had a chance to experience about everything that this place has to offer.
04:34It's the war room of stories here.
04:37First ship investigation we've ever done.
04:39Ever.
04:40Not even just for this show, any time ever. So it's something I've been looking forward to a lot.
04:43I have a lot of stories.
04:45Like the boats that you'd have access to or that there would be any kind of activity in, which boats would those be?
04:50Most of the stories are here on the Kenora.
04:52Okay.
04:53And do you think that it has anything to do with the Susanne that sank and then there's artifacts on this boat?
04:57There is some stories around that, yes.
04:59So they are on this boat?
05:00They are on this ship, yeah.
05:01See, I was right.
05:03It seems like a lot of stories revolve around things like that, like an artifact or something that's been brought to a location from a tragic event.
05:09And it seems like that ignites the paranormal activity. What kind of artifacts are there that are on this boat?
05:14We have the telegraph and we also have the ship's wheel.
05:17One other eerie thing that ties to the Susanne is the Lady Canadian just in the back there, the one I was telling you about.
05:23Because during that storm when it totally sank and the crew were floating and, you know, fighting for their lives, that ship was 200 feet away.
05:33They were yelling out?
05:35They were yelling out to that ship, but they couldn't see them or hear them for the storm.
05:40I think it was three at the time.
05:41I know the one survivor did say, you know, he could actually pinpoint the crew that were looking out the window because they were his friends.
05:48He knew them.
05:49What about the Lady Canadian?
05:51The Lady Canadian, I feel presence in there, but I've never actually seen anything myself.
05:55I've had some of my summer students have things happen in there, just, you know, people walking around and things like that.
06:01You have other stories too, right?
06:02Absolutely.
06:03You know, stories that everybody would kind of know around the area here.
06:05You know, we've had pages in our ship's logs turned to different captains.
06:09I've had cups and plates moved to different spots.
06:12One September long weekend, I was sitting here getting ready to close.
06:15It was just storming like a son of a gun outside.
06:18And I knew nobody was going to come, but I still had to be here.
06:21Everything was closed up.
06:22All the doors outside were all closed up.
06:24There was nobody here, I guess, who'd come out in a storm.
06:28And I'm sitting in the office and all of a sudden I hear one of the buckets from above me, which is on this deck,
06:34just behind me down the hall there, right from the very bow of the ship.
06:38It goes along the hall and it's just, yeah, I can hear it bouncing.
06:41And it comes to the red stairs.
06:43And right behind it was running.
06:45Like someone was full speed running after that bucket.
06:49That's one of my biggest fears is the sound of the footsteps.
06:52Yeah.
06:54Everybody's.
06:55Let's just say it scared the ship out of me.
06:58I actually wouldn't leave the office.
07:00I totally believe in all this.
07:02And I know there's something here.
07:05I always come in to alarm calls talking to them.
07:08Yeah, you're staring the ship out of me now, too.
07:09Yeah.
07:12So, yeah, there's so many different things.
07:14I mean, I've had stories of a stowaway being on the ship as well.
07:17And his red eyes have been seen glowing underneath the stairs in the hold as well.
07:22Red.
07:23Yeah.
07:24Is that like often?
07:25Like is that?
07:26It's been a couple of times.
07:27How many staff members are there here that have experienced?
07:30I'd say maybe six or seven other like summer students that have experienced it.
07:34Oh, really?
07:35And some enough that they wouldn't go in to work in those areas by themselves anymore.
07:39Well, it's been great talking.
07:40Time to get scared.
07:41Yeah.
07:42Got to throw the obelisk on, too.
07:44At first, we went down the stairs.
07:46Again, the first thing we always do is just check out the layout.
07:49Check out our surroundings.
07:50It's actually a lot taller down here than I would think.
07:52I actually have to wash my head on that one.
07:56Terry.
07:57It said Terry.
07:58The first thing we wanted to do was, you know, run the obelisk.
08:01We have this new piece of gear, like the actual obelisk, right?
08:03Like the obelisk 5 is something new.
08:05We've wanted it for a long time.
08:06And we went into the basement first because it seemed like one of the most intense places with
08:11Shay saying there was the eye scene down there.
08:14So what are we...
08:15So they had all sorts of, you know, pieces of memorabilia in the hold of the ship.
08:18That's what we wanted to run our K2 around and see if there's any kind of lingering energy
08:22from these pieces that probably have some kind of significant value.
08:26I hope we can go back there.
08:27It'd be nice to hold a K2 to some of these.
08:30Here you go.
08:31Did it say Terry again?
08:33It's a tail.
08:34Tail?
08:35That's what I thought it said, too.
08:38You'd almost think that some of these things would get a reading
08:40if they are like old pieces of the actual ships that are around here.
08:43If there's anything down here with us, you can knock, make some noise,
08:46let us know where to go.
08:47We got one spike right there, one here.
08:50So immediately the first room we went into, we did get one or two K2 spikes and that was it.
08:54But when we went into the room with all the different boat motors...
08:57Oh, did you get something on the board?
08:59They're right here, on this one.
09:01T's?
09:02Just this one.
09:03And there was one specific motor that we could hold it to every other one,
09:07but as soon as we put it over this one, it was redlining.
09:10Can you do it again?
09:11Again.
09:12What?
09:13Can you do it again?
09:15Why is it when I touch it?
09:17When I just touch it ever so slightly.
09:20Move.
09:21Move.
09:22Move.
09:23Just as we're moving away.
09:24You want to follow us?
09:25It said follow earlier, too.
09:28We're going to come over here.
09:29You're welcome to follow us.
09:31You can move with us.
09:32Rope.
09:33Rope?
09:34Rope.
09:35Just spit...
09:36Calcium.
09:37Calcium.
09:38Every time we entered a new location, the obulists would just spit out words.
09:42And it was hard to keep up with them.
09:44Rope.
09:45Reservation.
09:46It's actually spitting out quite a few words.
09:49Yeah, it's going crazy right now.
09:51If there's anything in here with us, you can come that's moved over.
09:56Because it did say move, right?
09:58Can you come touch this device in my hand?
10:00There's nothing that says...
10:05Oh!
10:06There it goes.
10:08Now can you let us know your name on the device that's in Jordan's hand?
10:11So we can situate our gear here, hey?
10:26Yeah, this is probably the best spot.
10:28So this season we do have a few new pieces of ghost hunting gear.
10:31You already heard the bell there.
10:33This I was thinking maybe we could use where Shay heard the bell, right?
10:38We have, you know, a bell.
10:39We have a parabolic microphone.
10:41We have a new rem pod.
10:42Our new one.
10:43So this is really interesting because we can actually adjust the sensitivity.
10:48For like humidity and everything, right?
10:50Yeah.
10:51For one, the one that we're definitely the most excited about is the brand new obulists.
10:54A real one.
10:55We've been using phone apps in the past that honestly have given us great results,
10:59but to have an actual separate piece of gear that you can hold in your hand that's separate from,
11:03you know, a phone.
11:04Because we always talk about how electronic interference could possibly interfere with our gear
11:08while simultaneously using a piece of gear, that being our phones,
11:12that could be interfering with things somehow.
11:14Now can you let us know your name on the device that's in Jordan's hand?
11:18It's so close.
11:19It wants to say something.
11:21You can see.
11:22You can tell on the meter.
11:23Yeah.
11:24Meter's going up.
11:25It's so close.
11:26It's trying.
11:27Give us a name or how old you are or were when you passed away.
11:30Maybe when you worked on this boat.
11:32If you did.
11:33Kate?
11:34Kate?
11:35Wait.
11:36In the galley, there's a bunch of newspaper clippings about a girl named Kathy.
11:43Kate.
11:44It could be.
11:45Maybe that could be connected.
11:47It could be a disease.
11:48Spanish flu?
11:49That's in the Bradbury.
11:51But like, we've already kind of thought, like we talked to Shay about it,
11:55how like these ships all seem to be connected.
11:57Mm-hmm.
11:58Like are we...
11:59It's so close to that.
12:00It's so close.
12:01Like are these like kind of stories interconnecting?
12:03The Kate one is bizarre.
12:12Oh, that's creepy.
12:13This will be where she saw those red eyes.
12:15What did she say?
12:16Oh, these are the stairs right here.
12:21Did she say she like what it was really?
12:23Or just she saw the eyes?
12:24She saw the eyes under the stairs.
12:27It's actually interesting because it's such a tight spot in there that you would never expect
12:31an entity to be seen in that section just because it's so tight underneath those stairs.
12:36Who was that?
12:37Was that Terry?
12:38Maybe?
12:39Just a shot in the dark?
12:41It makes you wonder if like they were hiding there.
12:44Were you hiding?
12:45Were you scared of something?
12:47So there were stowaways on this boat too.
12:50It could have been one of those.
12:52A stowaway, it would be a good place for them to be because it would be a place that you wouldn't really look because it didn't really seem like a person could really fit behind there.
13:01But to me that's what really made it kind of scary.
13:03It's like you've seen eyes behind the staircase where a person wouldn't really be able to fit.
13:08I thought that was super interesting.
13:10It just seems like a very tight area for something to be, to see eyes in an area like this.
13:14You know what I mean?
13:15Which makes it even more terrifying being in such a tight area with something that has red glowing eyes.
13:21Can you imagine seeing that though?
13:23Who would even go up this set of stairs?
13:25That's something you'll never find if you're looking for it.
13:28It's just something that happens to you.
13:30When you're not least expecting it.
13:32Exactly.
13:33You could walk by that a hundred times and never expect to see something there.
13:36It almost adds to just how valuable and how creepy that is.
13:39And unfortunately it seems like this thing kind of went dead as soon as we got in here.
13:43Yeah, the K2 wasn't doing anything in there.
13:54Straight.
13:55This.
13:56It's a lot of responses right now but just kind of nonsense.
14:00Here's that Cathy thing too.
14:03Kate.
14:04Cathy.
14:05Catch.
14:06Johnny.
14:07What?
14:08It just said Johnny.
14:09As I was saying Cathy?
14:10It's calling you out by name right now.
14:12What the hell?
14:13Is it Cathy?
14:14Because it said Kate earlier, right?
14:16It said Kate, yeah.
14:18I was looking at this earlier today.
14:21It said my name.
14:23It said alone earlier.
14:25Well you introduced yourself.
14:27Yeah.
14:28So it knows your name.
14:29Whoever's here.
14:30If it's Terry or if it's...
14:31See here's the thing.
14:32It's like I don't think Cathy actually died here, right?
14:35No, she just swam across the lake.
14:36She swam across the lake.
14:37What is she like so tied to this vessel somehow?
14:41She's 20 years old.
14:42Like there's a lot of stuff about her just here.
14:43She could be here as well, right?
14:44One place.
14:45Conditions.
14:46She's famous here.
14:47Yeah, but why would she want to hang around here?
14:48Out of like the only three names that it said?
14:50Terry.
14:51And Johnny.
14:52Kate and Johnny.
14:53That's really weird.
14:54I knew somewhere on the deck of the ship is where we would find the last remaining artifacts
14:59of the Suzanne E, which are contained in the room.
15:01It was like to our left.
15:02It was called the Tragedies Room.
15:03Oh, this is the Tragedies.
15:04So that was my first time seeing it.
15:05So being able to go in there and see.
15:06So this is the wheel from the Suzanne E.
15:09Which is really crazy that they managed to recover it, honestly.
15:30And the life preserver.
15:31Yeah, the life preserver too, right?
15:32Yeah, it says it.
15:33Oh, that's crazy.
15:34Too bad I couldn't preserve any lives.
15:36This is the telegraph.
15:37Let me see.
15:38It was a very heavy feeling for me being in there.
15:41You know, I think I mentioned to Johnny.
15:43I saw the life preserver and I said, like, too bad.
15:45Like that particular life preserver couldn't preserve any lives.
15:48And now it's just on display here.
15:50Just as a reminder of what happened to those people.
15:52Man, surprising dead on that.
15:53Not that I just thought there would be something.
15:56Yeah, surprisingly quiet in here.
15:58Considering the Suzanne E's history, we have found out.
16:03That's crazy.
16:04But this is really cool to see a reconstruction of what the ship looked like before I went down.
16:10Yeah.
16:11It looks a lot like this one.
16:13It actually, yeah, it really does.
16:16We'll come back in here at night though.
16:19Disappointingly quiet in this room right now, but we'll see later on.
16:23Yeah.
16:24We started walking further down the hallway and I just started looking at some of the pictures and I happened to notice one picture that said Captain J. Hokanson.
16:33Hold on a second.
16:37Three generations of captains in the Stevens family.
16:43John?
16:44John G.
16:47John Hans.
16:49Clifford Johan.
16:50John Clifford.
16:51John.
16:52Another John.
16:53John.
16:54There's like so many Johns right here.
16:55So maybe when it said Johnny, it wasn't just talking to my name.
16:57It could have been talking to somebody else.
16:58It was all the captains as well.
16:59There was five or six captains that were all named John.
17:03And John Hokanson was the captain that had been running the ship for the longest period of time.
17:09So it was almost like I felt degraded in a way.
17:12It wasn't trying to reach out to me.
17:14It was talking about the, you know, Captain John, the main guy.
17:17Probably not talking about you.
17:18It's probably this guy.
17:19This is John, John Hokanson.
17:20Is there anything else in there based on the words we heard before that leading up to Johnny?
17:24I don't know, but there's just a ton of pictures of like, here he is, Captain Hokanson.
17:29Captain John Hokanson.
17:30He's everywhere in here.
17:32As that was happening, we ended up hearing something downstairs.
17:35It was a voice.
17:36And it kind of caught everybody off guard.
17:38We all were like, what was that?
17:39Like, did we hear an actual voice?
17:42And then Shay ended up coming up.
17:44And it was actually one of the Hokanson family members that was coming up to pick up a souvenir
17:48at the exact same time that we were looking at the captain of the ship.
17:52That voice.
17:53No, the voice.
17:54The voice.
17:55Yeah.
17:56It just said Johnny.
17:57We made the connection, you know, with the Captain John and his living ancestors coming,
18:01you know, showing up at the exact same time.
18:02All of that seemed way too much of a coincidence.
18:05And it's funny because as we were kind of heading up to go and see, you know, the wheelhouse
18:10of where John would stand and where his sleeping quarters were too.
18:14Shay actually allowed us to go into the captain's quarters and into the wheelhouse where Captain
18:19John Hokanson spent much of his time.
18:21Shown.
18:22Drunk.
18:23Shown.
18:24Drunk.
18:25Shown.
18:26Drunk.
18:27Shown's funny because, like, this is exactly where he was seen, like, several times his apparition,
18:32right?
18:33Yeah.
18:34There used to be...
18:35Like, standing right here?
18:36There was a little hut there.
18:37There used to be a hut and they used to see him, John Hokanson, standing right here.
18:40From the sounds of the story, it sounds like he was just in full body.
18:43It was just him standing there and it was pretty recognizable.
18:47As we were climbing up the ladder, the ovulus said, Shown.
18:50And that kind of caught us off guard because we were like, we were already thinking of the
18:53story as we were kind of heading up there and then to hear that, it was just like a little,
18:56almost like a little cherry on top to get that, so.
18:59Yeah.
19:00We could do a lot in here.
19:01There's so many rooms, so many areas, and so much history.
19:03I think we're bound to find something.
19:05Yeah.
19:06We'll start getting ready for night then.
19:08We finished our preliminary investigation and obviously the one thing we did was
19:12before we start any kind of night investigation is shutting the power.
19:15All right, guys.
19:16Here we go.
19:17Cutting the power gives us more of an actual true reading of what we're doing here.
19:21Here we go.
19:24This guy's going to shut me a little bit.
19:26It was loud.
19:29We're officially off-grid.
19:30Yeah.
19:42The first thing we have to do, obviously, is to shut off the power.
19:45This is to ensure that nothing, no electricity is going to interfere with the electromagnetic
19:51readings or anything like that.
19:53The emergency lights are still on, which is, you know, good for safety.
19:56It helps us navigate between the buildings.
19:58Nothing coming from the outlets or anything else that would be interfering with our investigation.
20:02So we're going to start on the Lady Canadian today, which seems like a natural place for
20:07us to start because this is where they would start their ghost tours.
20:09So it kind of seems natural that we would kind of follow what they do because they know
20:13what works the best.
20:14Mirror their footsteps of kind of when they do their ghost hunts and it seems familiar
20:17with whatever's here.
20:18And just it being the one ship that passed by the Susani and that's, you know, the artifacts
20:23are right here.
20:24Let's start there and kind of work our way to the big ship.
20:26Start on the outside.
20:27That's a very interesting connection that I think we should definitely explore.
20:30Yeah.
20:31Okay.
20:32Let's go.
20:33You ready?
20:34Yeah.
20:35I'm going to hit record.
20:36I'm already recording.
20:37Radio.
20:38Right away.
20:39Radio syllables.
20:40Radio syllables.
20:41Things are going crazy already.
20:43As soon as I kind of turned on the obvius, it just started spitting out words like crazy.
20:47It was just rapid fire, like so fast that they were going by even too fast to read.
20:51If there's anything in here with us, we're just opening a door to have some communication
20:56and chat with you.
20:58We're friends of Shay.
21:00My name's Johnny.
21:01And my name is Jordan.
21:03Can you tell me what your name is and why you're still here?
21:09Lady Canadian walking in there was, I wasn't expecting too much too fast because it's not
21:15usually something will happen like right away.
21:17Especially, you know, we're going into a ship that, you know, has a very minimal sort
21:21of paranormal history.
21:22Boards used to dry animal plots.
21:24It kind of looks freaky.
21:25Yeah.
21:26It's interesting too.
21:27Like this is the one, the one ship that was passing by the Suzane, like when it went down.
21:36I guess they just drifted towards, I think it was that they drifted towards this ship
21:41on a broken piece of like the Suzane.
21:44Really?
21:45Yeah.
21:46And then they, one guy fell off and drifted away.
21:48Can you tell us your name if you were a part of the Suzane tragedy and you're here?
21:55If there's anybody here with us, you can use the device in Jordan's hand here.
22:00Dead silent in here.
22:02We didn't get a whole lot of responses.
22:04We did get like a few that maybe we could link together, but we were trying to play devil's
22:09advocate and just like, how far do we have to reach to get to where we want to be?
22:12And we don't want to push a narrative on it.
22:14So we just kind of listened.
22:15Well, should we keep going?
22:16Yeah.
22:17I think let's move on from this area.
22:19Where do we want to go to after the Bradbury?
22:21That one's interesting cause it actually had like some really messed up history.
22:25Mm-hmm.
22:26What was exactly the event?
22:28Well, it used to bring the dead bodies back from the north.
22:30That's right.
22:31That's what it was.
22:32During the Spanish flu.
22:33All right.
22:34So we are moving on to the Bradbury now.
22:38It's kind of hard to imagine, but like all the bodies that would have been piled along here.
22:41Yeah.
22:42I wonder where exactly like they just had them in the front or just everywhere.
22:46Probably as many as they could fit on.
22:48It's very hard to imagine.
22:50Yeah, that is.
22:51So we already know straight off the bat there's a ton of death that's associated with this ship.
22:56It was a bit of a heavier feeling stepping onto that ship knowing what it was used for.
23:00Just imagining it being piled with bodies is a super, you know, sad, uncomfortable feeling.
23:05Jesus.
23:06Is this scary?
23:07This is the death staircase for sure if there ever was one.
23:11Let's see.
23:12Oh.
23:13Oh.
23:14Yeah.
23:15Well.
23:16That's a little too steep for me.
23:17You want to go down first?
23:18Yeah.
23:19Yeah.
23:20You're going to do it anyway.
23:21Well, at least you'll be down first so you can catch me if I fall.
23:26It's kind of creepy just having your back out going down the staircase.
23:34Ah, geez.
23:35Well, the engine room was a bit of a nightmare to walk into because not only it's a massive
23:39step to get in there, it's a very steep staircase to get down.
23:43So I let Johnny go down first because, you know, I wanted to see.
23:51Is that a dead battery or?
23:54Yeah.
23:57Once again, it's happening.
23:59It's the same ghost.
24:00Yeah.
24:01What happened, like, we just did the interview and then the battery dies.
24:04Then we check the battery, it still says 100%, or it's a freshly charged battery.
24:09It's weird.
24:10This exact same thing happened to me at the Fort Lorain Museum investigation in Season 1.
24:15Battery said full, but it stopped working.
24:17Definitely makes it feel that there are certain energies present.
24:20You haven't been using that K too much in the last hour or so.
24:23The engine room is, I don't know, it's just a different vibe in there.
24:26It's so secluded.
24:27Like, you know, you can kind of get this feeling of just being a little bit claustrophobic.
24:31If there's anything in here, can you come grab my hand or touch this device?
24:34Oh, oh, immediately.
24:35To green twice.
24:36Can you do that again but go to the yellow?
24:38Oh, it did.
24:39Right to yellow?
24:40Yeah, thank you.
24:41Okay, so we're getting somewhere.
24:42Okay, so we have the name Terry.
24:43We have this.
24:44There is something here.
24:45But it's not.
24:46It's going to be very subtle.
24:47It went right to yellow like I asked, and shortly after Jordan pulls the plastic up to reveal the engines, and it lights completely all the way up to red.
24:51Oh, it went right to red.
24:53When I lifted up the plastic?
24:54Yeah.
24:55Oh, it's going off around there a little bit.
24:56We seem to get a huge spike as soon as I lifted up the plastic off of the engine.
25:00Were you in charge of this thing?
25:01No.
25:02No.
25:03No.
25:04No.
25:05No.
25:06No.
25:07No.
25:08No.
25:09No.
25:10No.
25:11No.
25:12No.
25:13No.
25:14No.
25:15No.
25:16No.
25:17No.
25:18No.
25:19No.
25:20No.
25:21No.
25:22It just went up.
25:23So it seemed like it reacted when I lifted the plastic?
25:28Yeah.
25:29Well, it went red to red.
25:30I asked it to go to yellow.
25:31It did go to yellow.
25:32Then when you lifted that up, it went straight to red.
25:34Yeah, a piece of plastic isn't going to light up a K2 in any situation ever, unless there
25:39was some excitement revealing the engines to whatever was around us, you know, possibly
25:43an employee that worked there.
25:44Seeing those again uncovered could have provoked a response.
25:47Super old.
25:48To get a response bringing it up to red is hard to do, you know, when you're not getting
25:51any readings at all.
25:52If there's somebody in here, can you ring one of these bells?
25:55Just like this?
25:57It almost seemed to us that, like, there might be some sort of, like, activity happening,
26:02but we might be scaring it off.
26:04Okay, I'm done with this for right now.
26:06I'm headed out.
26:07You want up?
26:08Yeah.
26:09I just don't know what to make of anything so far, you know?
26:12Yeah, it's hard, but again, we're still just in, like, the smaller areas that are leading
26:18into the biggest, the SS Canara.
26:21We then headed up to the lounge to do a sensory deprivation, and the reason why we wanted
26:28to do a sensory deprivation in the lounge is because so much activity has been reported
26:33there.
26:34It seems like the right thing to do.
26:35Oftentimes, we'll do it and we'll get some answers, and it'll lead us in a direction.
26:39There's been people dancing in there, playing the piano.
26:42Music's been heard, so it just seemed like a good, like, high-traffic, high-quality place
26:46to do a sensory deprivation to get some answers.
26:48So a lot of people had good times here is what I'm thinking.
26:51Yeah.
26:52I think a lot of good injury.
26:53I'll be in the sensory.
26:54Yeah.
26:55I already have a good idea of what I want to ask, so you ready?
26:57Okay.
26:58This rear box is just a device that just channels through radio stations.
27:02This is not, it said immediately.
27:04And if you're hearing one continuous voice coming through...
27:07My name is Jordan.
27:08I'm Courtney.
27:09Courtney.
27:10Courtney, what's your...
27:11Sometimes you'll hear a voice that sounds very odd, and you'll hear it every now and
27:14then.
27:15He's coming?
27:16He's coming.
27:17Is that up again or something?
27:18He's coming.
27:19Is John coming?
27:20What's John going to do when he gets here?
27:22I don't know what that means.
27:25Whoa.
27:26What happened?
27:27I feel like something touched my leg.
27:28I said, I'm on you.
27:30Really?
27:31Haunting?
27:32Who's on him right now?
27:33I'm going to stay in.
27:34Stay in.
27:35Keep going.
27:36Something grabbed me on the leg.
27:37And immediately I kind of tucked, like peeked out of the blindfold.
27:41And then as I was looking at Jordan when it all of a sudden said, I'm on him.
27:45So I put it back.
27:46I'm like, I'm going back in.
27:47I don't want to just jump out of this and get scared and call it quits.
27:50So I just jumped right back in.
27:52Who is on him right now?
27:53Is this John?
27:54Are you here now?
27:55It's a John.
27:56Okay.
27:57So this is John.
27:58How do you do today?
27:59John.
28:00Are you like screaming out for John?
28:02You were the longest serving captain of this ship.
28:04Does it still hold a lot of value for you?
28:05Is that why you stay here?
28:07I was really trying to get into it.
28:10And sometimes when that happens, it's almost like you're in a trance.
28:13Like you feel like you're being hypnotized in a way.
28:16Like you're really listening and focusing so hard.
28:19Because I can hear the footsteps around me and stuff like that.
28:22That coming out of that sensory was actually quite hard on this one.
28:25How are you feeling in there?
28:26Not bad.
28:27Wasn't really getting a whole lot.
28:29Except for every time I brought up John, you seemed to say like, yes, I'm here.
28:35I even tried to say, is there anybody else here?
28:37Maybe you're from the Bradbury or maybe you're somebody from the Suzanne E.
28:40But every time I brought up John, it was like, yes, I'm here.
28:42Yeah.
28:43John was really clear.
28:44Oh, it said John.
28:45Yeah.
28:46You heard it say John too.
28:47Super clear.
28:48Oh, it always feels weird coming out of that sensory.
28:49I know.
28:50You're always disoriented.
28:51It felt like something grabbed my leg pretty strong though.
28:53Yeah.
28:54What did it feel like?
28:55Was it like a squeeze on your actual leg?
28:56Yeah.
28:57Like a squeeze.
28:58Was it on your patent leg or your-
28:59Just on my actual leg right here on my thigh.
29:00On your actual leg?
29:01Yeah.
29:02Okay.
29:03On your thigh?
29:04Yeah.
29:05Okay.
29:06Going forward, I was asking like, if I go into the hull, like what can I find?
29:07And it didn't say anything, but I'm still curious.
29:08And because it said, you know, John, you heard it say John and you heard or you felt something
29:13on your leg, maybe you should check out the second floor.
29:15I already had my mind made up that I wanted to go into the hull of the ship.
29:18I wanted to be in complete darkness.
29:19I wanted to go in the night vision just because I wanted to be completely encased in darkness.
29:23I wanted to be just totally in it.
29:25And at the same time, my thought was I wanted Johnny to be on the second floor because if
29:30Captain John was taking a liking to him, that's why he like kind of patted him on the knee
29:34or whatever.
29:35He did that second floor thermal sweep.
29:37He decided that I should go to the same level that we were on.
29:40Stay on that level.
29:41And I'll do thermal and I'll run the obvious as well, especially because it seemed like the
29:46spirits wanted us to be split up and kind of on our own and alone.
29:50I wouldn't normally share it with the show and the people.
29:55But something that happened right before we went in to do our solos is I got an email from one of my
30:00daughter's teachers and she isn't doing the greatest in school.
30:03And we were just having a conversation with my wife and I was like, oh, it's going to be really hard for her.
30:08She has the same things I had with ADHD growing up.
30:10It's going to be really hard for her.
30:11And I was really bummed out and I was almost on the verge of crying.
30:14I was having a hard time.
30:16We ended our conversation and I was fucking around with the ovulus at the exact same time as I was doing this.
30:21Nothing was coming out.
30:22And as soon as I ended the conversation, it said hurt and hold.
30:26It was for the first time during this entire investigation that I was like, it felt like something was there with me.
30:31And I was like, I'm really, yeah, I was really hurt.
30:33And it felt like something was like, hold, like hold me.
30:36And I waited for another five minutes and nothing came through the ovulus.
30:39And I ended up taking a picture of the ovulus.
30:42It was really weird.
30:43And it was like, I was debating, talking about it or not.
30:45It's like, it has no relation to the video.
30:47But at the same time, it's like when we went into our solos, I got so much more.
30:51So it's like, that was almost like the real door that opened up for me.
30:54I remember in my head before we went into the solos, I'm like, okay, whatever's there, whatever was there with me out there, keep it coming.
31:00I'm open.
31:01All right.
31:02I'm going to try and reach out with John.
31:04I believe that's the one spirit that possibly is connecting with us.
31:08We've gotten several names, but mission guest.
31:12Yeah, we, we are definitely a guest.
31:15Huge.
31:16Huge.
31:17Bed.
31:19Certain.
31:20Bed, uncertain.
31:21Is there going to be something?
31:23Are you laying in a bed right now?
31:24If I come look in one of the beds?
31:26We've gotten several names over the course of the night.
31:29You know, Terry, Kate, my own name, but it's starting to sound like your name.
31:35Can you just give me some more confirmation that it is you that's here?
31:38John, if I'm speaking with you, one of your relatives came and you probably got the chance to see them.
31:44Right?
31:45When they were here.
31:46I'm holding a device in my hand that you can give them the chance to see you.
31:50If you walk in front of it, if you touch something.
31:54Raid.
31:55Raid.
31:56You can tell me what you want to touch on the ship.
31:59I can go film it with this thing in my hand.
32:01And they can see that you did touch it.
32:03Look at that.
32:04Hang on.
32:05Man, my heart's going.
32:08So I went down to the hold of the ship.
32:21K2 action on this motor over here earlier.
32:24I was very excited to be in complete darkness and, like, really feel things out.
32:28Maybe get a glimpse of these red eyes behind the stairs.
32:30Okay, for this area, I think I'm going to set up the REM pod on the stairs.
32:34Because many people would have come and gone up these stairs.
32:38And if something is still coming and going, the REM pod should catch it.
32:42There we go.
32:43And also, it just kind of looks at night really crazy looking at the stairs.
32:47You can see that light just coming in the ship window.
32:50Man, my heart's going.
32:52When we started the thermal camera, the first thing that I ended up doing was kind of wandering around the general area.
32:57I didn't want to get too far away from the camera.
32:59Which kind of led me to the tragedy room.
33:01Look at that.
33:02Hang on.
33:03There's heat signatures in this room on the handle.
33:06First thing I noticed when I went in there, I checked around, and I noticed these marks on the handles that were definitely from somebody holding it.
33:13I couldn't tell if they were still holding it or if it was recent.
33:16But I remember spinning the wheel and seeing the hand print marks going around.
33:20And they were in the position of where a captain would be.
33:23Every single piece of the handle is cold except for the top two.
33:26I'm wearing gloves.
33:27And I've never been in here yet this evening.
33:30Was this you, John?
33:31There's two heat signatures on...
33:33I don't know if I can pick that up clearly.
33:36It's definitely two heat signatures.
33:38I'm not scared.
33:40I'm blown away a little bit by it, but I'm not scared.
33:44I appreciate it and thank you for doing that.
33:47That was the first piece of activity that I remember immediately kind of shook me a bit.
33:52But I was excited.
33:53It was kind of what I'd been asking for.
33:55I'm still not sure.
33:56Is there anybody down here with me?
33:57I hope so.
33:58Because I would like to have a conversation with you.
34:00My thinking was that, you know, so many people would have come and gone up these stairs.
34:05So perhaps if I set it up on the stairs, if something is still coming and going up there,
34:10the REM pod would catch it.
34:13It is so cold down here.
34:15Is Captain John down here with me?
34:17Please light up that REM pod that I just set up on the stairs.
34:19The answer is yes.
34:20I tried to be very patient and tried to explain that I'm not, you know, trying to intrude.
34:26I'm not trying to intrude, but still just got absolutely nothing.
34:32Ran.
34:33Ran?
34:34Yeah.
34:35There was a story of something that ran down this hallway.
34:37Was that you?
34:38And it doesn't have to be such a scary story.
34:40Maybe you were running towards a problem.
34:41Lisa.
34:42Lisa, that's my mom's name.
34:44I decided to move the camera a little further and it, you know, it was saying my mom's name
34:47and some really, you know, weird stuff.
34:50Faster.
34:51Ran faster.
34:52Ran faster.
34:53So like, were you running towards a problem that was happening maybe in the lower deck
34:58or something?
34:59It's not like, you know, just an evil spirit running through the halls.
35:02You were actually doing something, like a mission, like you said.
35:04Watch.
35:05Farmers.
35:06I tried to keep it going as long as I could.
35:08These are some really good responses.
35:11When you light up this REM pod, if you were the stowaway that was hiding under the stairs,
35:16it looks like the thing's trying to go.
35:18It's like very close.
35:19It's like three quarters of the way.
35:20Can you light it up all the way, please?
35:22This was the first time during my solo investigation that the REM pod was doing anything.
35:26Keep trying.
35:27Keep trying.
35:28Please.
35:29Light it up all the way.
35:30It's like stuck there.
35:31It's not moving.
35:32Oh, it's all the way, please.
35:33Oh, it's so close.
35:34It's flickering.
35:35I could see it.
35:36It was almost like up to the highest level where it would sound off the REM pod and I
35:40would know for sure that something was there.
35:42If you were the stowaway under the stairs, please light it up all the way.
35:44It'll make a sound.
35:45I want to hear that sound.
35:46Try one more time.
35:47Can you light it up all the way?
35:49That REM pod, that device in front of me.
35:52Go, go, go, go.
35:53Try.
35:54Try harder.
35:55It's so close.
35:56It didn't seem like whatever was there, if whatever was there, had enough energy to
36:01really make it go all the way to make the sound and that was really disappointing for
36:05me.
36:06I heard about what was going on with Johnny upstairs, so maybe like all the energy was being used
36:10up there.
36:11Can you hear with me, John?
36:12I love that you started talking about this ran faster.
36:15What happened in that situation that you had to run down towards the stairs?
36:20You scared Shay, but I mean, from your point of view, there must have been something going
36:24on that you had to run down to get to the lower level, right?
36:27What was that that happened?
36:30Was there an emergency downstairs?
36:32I gave John the opportunity to show himself on thermal camera because he got the opportunity
36:38to see a relative earlier that day in person as they came to, you know, the ship.
36:42Can you come stand beside me and have a conversation?
36:45Let me know.
36:46And now it's dead though.
36:48Day.
36:49Day?
36:50During the day?
36:51Yeah, I did put it there during the day.
36:53Swim?
36:54Like what?
36:55Planet.
36:56Sin.
36:57Ovilus did say a couple of words like river, swim, black hair, like all these kind of
37:02words that could be related.
37:03All these words about water and river and swim and what the fuck was that?
37:08Feeling.
37:09Stay.
37:10Uh, yeah, I'll stay.
37:12There was a crack noise right beside me.
37:15A banging noise coming from one of the cabins.
37:17I was focused on that.
37:19And I remember looking down at the thermal and it's like shutting down in three, two,
37:23one.
37:24Thermal just shut down.
37:25Died.
37:26It just said died.
37:27The thermal just died in my hand.
37:29And it just said died.
37:31It's gone now.
37:32It just said died.
37:33As that happened, the Ovilus said died.
37:35And it kind of went on a string of words, which kind of started scaring me a little bit.
37:40Maybe you're trying to scare me and freak me out.
37:43Dead silent after that.
37:46The Ovilus didn't say a single word after it for several minutes.
37:49Not a single noise.
37:50It was almost like there was chaos for a minute and it just shut down.
37:53Can you touch the Rumpod just to give me some indication that I might be speaking to somebody.
38:00And that I haven't just been talking to myself all evening.
38:05It was just like I suspected, you know, when you're looking for these things you don't typically seem to find them, right?
38:11Okay, if there's nothing then I will say goodbye.
38:14And who knows, maybe we will review this footage later and we'll find something.
38:18But for now, I'll say goodbye.
38:21Alright.
38:22I didn't get that so I had to say goodbye, shut off the Rumpod and head upstairs.
38:28So I was disappointed for myself that I didn't really find anything in the basement.
38:33And, but Johnny, like, he had a whole, you know, a ton of stuff happen.
38:40Are we entering a room and, you know, there's something here, whether it's, you know, just conversating, communicating.
38:45And then we sit down with all of our gear and did we spook it off?
38:49So, you know, we kind of have to look at spirits in the way that we'd look at another human.
38:53There's shy ones, there's happy ones, there's excited ones.
38:56Are you still here with me, John?
38:59It's like he gave us as much as he wanted, I'm here kind of thing, but he wasn't going to show himself.
39:04Except for the hands on the wheel, which was, I mean, completely mind blowing.
39:08I've dealt with the thermal several times.
39:10It never says shutting down in three, two, one.
39:12It's almost like something was malfunctioning with it.
39:15As soon as it happened, I mean, I think Jordan could attest to this, that you get that feeling sometimes when you're on a location and you know it's over.
39:22So I decided at that point, there was no reason to continue the investigation and I met up with Jordan.
39:29I personally didn't think that coming into this season right out of the gate, I would have a personal experience the way I did.
39:35It was completely at random.
39:37And I remember when we were downstairs talking about, you know, the eyes.
39:41Specifically this moment when we were like, the eyes, it's so random.
39:44It's why here?
39:45It's so random that it's kind of like, you could look for this and you'll never get it.
39:48It's something that happens completely at random.
39:50And for me, that personal experience that I shared was definitely one that was completely at random.
39:55I never expected that to happen and I didn't expect it to make me feel the way it did.
40:00I was expecting to come into this to get scared and I never expected to get sad because of a piece of paranormal activity that happened to me.
40:07It was a lot of fun coming to a place that's basically in our own backyard and, you know, starting off season two with a bang, I would say.
40:14Checking out these places that have obviously a haunted history and like trying out some of our new pieces of gear.
40:20You know, now that we have kind of gotten our feet wet again, I'm really excited to see what the future holds for us.
