00:00To continue with more information, as we were saying, clear support is being shown across
00:20the world for Venezuela and the Venezuelan people, such is the case in Portugal, an event
00:24was held as part of the Global Day of Solidarity with Venezuela.
00:29Portuguese and Venezuelan citizens living in Madeira gathered to call on for peace in
00:33Latin America while condemning the deployment of U.S. warships and nuclear submarines in
00:37the Caribbean Sea.
00:38The event took place at the Funchal Municipal Garden around a post of SimĂłn BolĂvar, also
00:44known as the Liberator.
00:45The rally was held in solidarity with Venezuela and to advocate for peace in the region.
00:52And the International Anti-Fascist Chapter of Costa Rica has also joined in on this day
01:01of global solidity and defense of Venezuela's sovereignty.
01:04From the International Anti-Fascist Chapter in Costa Rica Chapter, we condemn the militarization
01:11of the Caribbean Sea in Latin America by the U.S. government.
01:17We declare that Latin America is a zone of peace.
01:19We do not want interference in the internal affairs of any country.
01:22yes to the sovereignty of the Latin American peoples.
01:27We are the anti-fascist international in Costa Rica.
01:32We condemn the disrespect for the sovereignty of the Caribbean waters of countries that do
01:37not want to be subjugated.
01:40In violation of the uncharter, enough political interference, enough genocide, enough fascism
01:47on the part of the U.S. empire.
01:51Here we are in San Jose, Costa Rica, outside this embassy, with all that it symbolizes, especially
01:58at this time of military deployment.
02:02We want to make clear our support and solidarity with the authorities, and especially with the
02:07people of Venezuela, and with all the sovereign people.
