00:00So we're here at Two Guys Automotive in Blockswitch. A few new signs gone up on the gates.
00:07We'll find out what that's about then. So we're here with Clinton. Hello sir.
00:12Clinton, you've done a good deed of late haven't you? Fill us in on what happened.
00:17There was a lady that came to you in distress.
00:19Yeah, so basically we was tagged in a post on Blockswitch Chit Chat.
00:24The lady had been, I think she was parked on a car park B&M and somebody had drove into her and smashed into the car, caused a lot of damage on the bumper.
00:33She came to us for a quote and when she told us the story that she was a carer, she was caring for the vulnerable and learning, people with learning difficulties.
00:43She told us that she was struggling financially, the car was her office and it sort of pulled on our heartstrings.
00:49So we decided to, didn't tell her, but we decided to fix the job, paint the car, get it all done and dusted and give it back to her.
00:56When she came and asked how much the bill was, we told her it was zero. We just give her 100% credit.
01:00I bet she was in shock, wasn't she?
01:02She hugged us all. She actually hugged us all. She said it was nice. It restored her belief in, you know, faith and all that, in humanity and all that.
01:12Well good on you mate. And that's kind of led to you joining a few bodies then. So what are these signs all about then Clinton?
01:18So this one here, this one here, this is the independent garage association.
01:23Yeah. So basically these are a, they're sort of like a body in the automotive industry in the garage association.
01:32These come in, you become part of them. They sort of like give you, they help you out in the industry.
01:39So if you struggle, if you need legal advice, if you need some industry tips, et cetera, et cetera, for networking, these are the guys to do.
01:45But what they do, if they believe that your garage is a bit better, a little bit above and beyond, they will sort of, they will advise you to go for the Trust My Garage scheme.
01:55Cool. This, this is more so for the, the garages that are going to get audited, which we have done.
02:00They get audited on administration, health and safety, working practices, et cetera.
02:06And we passed that with a hundred percent. We was the first one this year, 2025 to pass it with a hundred, a hundred percent.
02:11The likes of Halfords and such as forth, they go for this.
02:15Yeah. And obviously this one here, we've just done a relationship with Q Refinish down the road, colour market UK.
02:21They supply all of our products. They give us favorable rates so we can pass that back down to the customer and we can make our repairs affordable.
02:28So, Clemton, this is where the magic happens.
02:32It is, yes.
02:33And who's this, who's this dog? He's a bit of a character in the community, isn't he?
02:38He's actually quite a bit of a celebrity.
02:40He is?
02:41He's in Blocktwitch and Walter. This is DJ, the dog. Everybody knows him.
02:44And you said customers come up and just, just to sail out to DJ.
02:47Yeah, and I'm bothered to see us. They come up and see DJ.
02:50He's usually got his son with him, chives, but he's hurt his leg.
02:53Oh.
02:54Yeah, we're round, now and round here, the garages of the dogs.
02:57Yeah, fantastic.
03:00And you've gone one stage for, what's this about free health checks?
03:04So, as you can see, we've got next door, we're just waiting for, we're having a new roof put on it, et cetera.
03:10So, basically, what it is, we've got mechanics that work there as well, they're not here yet.
03:15But, basically, we're offering to the community of Blocktwitch and surrounding areas, because of the financial crisis.
03:22If you want to come to us, we will give you a vehicle at what's called a pre-MOT, so we'll give it an health check.
03:27We'll make, well, our mechanics will give it a once-over, they'll check it out, they'll make sure that it's roadworthy, safe.
03:34They'll point out areas of the car that need repairing, need looking at, and we'll charge you nothing for doing that.
03:39I mean, that sounds too good to be true. So, you're obviously a very community-minded man.
03:44Absolutely.
03:45Yeah, so it's just that case of a bit of giving back in these difficult times like.
03:49I mean, I like to say, I made it very successful pre-Covid in the hospitality industry, and the community supported me.
03:57They supported me, they supported me, and Lewis. Lewis was with me, my brother.
04:01And we basically, we got a lot from the community, they did a lot for us, they supported us.
04:06So, obviously, when that all went downhill because of Covid, we've gone into the automotive trade, we've made it successful here.
04:12So now what we've decided is, with that in mind, we're giving it back to the community, because they're the people that support us and keep us going.
04:18Awesome work. So, Lewis, what's it like working with your brother?
04:23A doddle.
04:24A doddle.
04:26Yeah, it can be tricky working for family, can't it? But you're obviously doing something right here, you know what I mean?
04:31Yeah, I'm a major manager.
04:33That's good. And is this one of the mechanics as well, is it?
04:35No, he's an apprentice body work.
04:37Okay, yeah, yeah.
04:38So, it's my brother-in-law.
04:39Oh, hello mate.
04:40So, obviously, again, family orientated, he's my brother-in-law, so we've brought him on.
04:44Yeah.
04:45And Lewis, obviously, Lewis runs all the body shop, etc. So, Lewis has got him under the wing, he's teaching him.
04:50And again, as you can see, he's sponsored by Q Refinish as well.
04:54Cool.
04:55So, he's obviously going to be taught by Lewis the trade, and then we'll just keep expanding from there.
05:00Well, there you go, guys. They're doing their bit for the community, so come and do your bit for them,
05:05and support them here at Two Guys Automotive. Cheers! Well done, lads. Well done.
