Woman Gives 'Miracle' Cat A Second Chance At Life

This cat was hiding a big secret. We talked to Sandra about how Triki let her know she wasn't ready to give up!

00:00I postponed the euthanasia for as many days as possible.

00:04I didn't want to give up on her. It was very overwhelming because if I wouldn't

00:08rescue her, I know nobody will.

00:13Her pelvis was dislocated and she was paralyzed.

00:18I've been having a lot of nightmares because her body wasn't responding to the treatment.

00:24The day arrived when we had to euthanize her.

00:26I just didn't want to deal with this. It was too much for me. And I laughed.

00:33The vet kept on calling me. She's like crying. She's walking, she's walking. And I'm like, what?

00:43And I was crying. It was a very beautiful day.

00:51We saw a lot of improvement in Triki.

00:53She started moving, playing around, which was amazing.

01:00She was just a miracle.

01:02We didn't know she was pregnant, but she gave birth to only one cat.

01:07She's the first kitten to be born in this shelter.

01:10We called him Sylvester.

01:12His relationship with Triki is so beautiful.

01:21My future goal is to find them a home that is away from the war here, away from Lebanon.

01:27It's been hell, but they helped me so much.
