00:09The start of the 2025-2026 school year last Monday has encountered serious difficulties, as many anticipated.
00:18The complaints reveal deplorable preparation for welcoming more than 2 million students into public classrooms.
00:24There are schools that are clearly unsuitable for teaching, full of cracks, lacking electricity and water, without perimeter protection and without proper bathrooms.
00:34These spaces cannot adequately accommodate students or teachers.
00:38Even more serious is the case of those school buildings that have been under construction for years, without completion being finalized for teaching.
00:46Regarding the supplies that Inabi is supposed to provide, the disarray is evident, since in very few educational centers they have arrived complete and appropriately before the start of classes.
00:58This poor preparation demonstrates a clear managerial incompetence and appalling organizational levels, which are far from the example that those in charge of education should set.
01:08This situation is particularly inexplicable, since money has not been an obstacle, considering that the government has fulfilled its commitment to allocating 4% of GDP to education.
01:20All these setbacks explain why, during the first week of classes, students have been unable to attend classes with enthusiasm.
01:28Far from denying or minimizing these obstacles that prevent the school year from getting off to a good start,
01:34authorities have a duty to examine them carefully and draw valuable lessons, while mobilizing with determination to overcome them.
01:42This country needs to pause its superficial activism and begin to think about, organize and execute the fundamental actions required to forge a dignified life for all,
01:52and a country that projects order and a true commitment to the nation.
