00:00Hello there, good morning. Did you hear any thunder last night? Well if not, you might
00:04hear it across parts of the southeast this morning. We've got some heavy outbreaks of
00:08rain here across Sussex and Kemp for example, eventually pushing into parts of East Anglia
00:12through the course of the morning. So heavy downpours, possibly some hail and thunder
00:16before we eventually say goodbye to this feature through the afternoon. Behind it and across
00:20most of the country we'll see another day of sunny spells and showers, most showers
00:25pushing through into western areas where once again they could be heavy. Otherwise fairly
00:29similar temperatures to what we saw yesterday, highs reaching 21 possibly
00:32even 22 degrees Celsius. There'll still be some showers lingering on through the
00:38course of the evening, patchy cloud and a mix of clear skies. We'll see still a few
00:43showers just starting to creep into the west but most showers across England and
00:46Wales becoming isolated so quite dry and where we see any clear skies it will turn
00:50a little cooler and fresher by the time we reach Saturday morning. But it should be
00:54mostly dry and bright for many of us particularly across the far east and
00:58southeast to start the day. But don't let it fool you, there is another system
01:01waiting out into the Atlantic, pushing in more cloud and also heavy outbreaks of
01:05rain at first across Northern Ireland and then into western areas of England and
01:10Wales. And western areas of Scotland too will start to see these heavy outbreaks of
01:13rain as we head through the early hours of the afternoon. Not just heavy rain but
01:17also some quite strong gusty winds associated with this feature particularly
01:20around any exposed spots of the west. Staying mostly dry across the east for the first part of the
01:25afternoon before this feature eventually pushes its way through. So that's where we'll see the
01:29best of the temperatures. Highs once again reaching around 20 to 21 degrees Celsius.
01:34But it is certainly going to be quite a breezy day, quite strong gusts in the west to finish off
01:40on Saturday. And the unsettled theme does continue for the second half of the weekend all due to this
01:45area of low pressure sitting out into the northwest dragging in quite widespread outbreaks of rain and
01:50showers at times. And also take a look at the tight isobars on that screen as well. Plenty of strong
01:55winds particularly in the northwest to finish off the weekend. But if you want more details on this
01:59weekend's weather we can catch Alex Deakin on YouTube.
