00:12They'll try to balance their

00:17left hander Carson Wisenhunt on
00:20the hill tonight for the Giants
00:22will be number eighty eight the
00:23rookie left hander Carson
00:24Wisenhunt 13 strikeouts eight
00:26to third nine walks out of
00:27something we'll keep an eye on
00:29and five home runs allowed in
00:30eighteen innings you want to give
00:31up one home run every ten innings
00:33so it's a little high in that
00:34category here's a swing and a
00:36liner base hit out into center
00:38field and Nico Horner is aboard so
00:42Horner starts it off with the
00:43knock and a lead off man on in
00:46front of Kyle Tucker left handed
00:47hitter with power Tucker has 21
00:49home runs for the year got him
00:51three pitches jumped on top of
00:54with a couple of fastballs and
00:55then he shows him his change up
00:57to his bread and butter for the
00:58first time and you can see it

01:01Wisenhunt goes single strikeout
01:04now walk walk and the bases are
01:06all loaded for Carson Kelly as Bob
01:08Melvin looks on and chats with
01:11Andrew Bailey see the frustration

01:15Wisenhunt's asking for trouble
01:16here and Kelly's going to try to
01:17give him some ground ball to
01:19short could be to Adamas the
01:20second one Schmidt the first to a
01:23double play that's doing it the
01:25hard way loading the bases after a
01:27couple of walks in succession and
01:30then getting the double play to put
01:32an end to the whole thing

02:18off speed pitch that was up in the
02:20garden he goes Devers twenty six
02:22time he has gone deep
02:24well the Adamas bounces one to
02:26third top play charging gloving
02:28Shaw throws the first gets in

02:35that on both ends Matty comes in on
02:37this little chopper and it's right
02:39down the line it's in the infield

02:49Turner digs this ball out of the dirt
02:51and an in-between hop so very nice
02:53play by both corner infield on the
02:56ground the first Turner is there he'll
02:58take it himself and Smith retire back
03:01to back singles and the Cubs are in
03:04business here in the second big spot
03:07early in the game Cubs are down by a
03:09run it's an interesting mound visit
03:10isn't it you don't see it mid count with a
03:13couple guys in scoring position yes
03:14yeah I mean I think there's a very
03:16specific message being delivered what
03:18do you want to do you Nico is one of
03:21the best in the league at hitting with
03:22runners in scoring position not a lot
03:24of power but you know so then you've
03:26got Tucker on deck base open you know
03:29there's some options of what you want
03:31what you want to do and and how you
03:33want to attack Nico
03:35Crow Armstrong at third Swanson at
03:37second two outs second inning one to
03:40nothing Giants swing and a high fly ball
03:43crushed left fail that went out its way
03:45and it's gone welcome home Nico the kid
03:50from the Bay Area three-run homer and the
03:53Cubs jump out front it is 3-1 and what
03:57we would say in the dugout bad meeting
03:59whatever the strategy was that wasn't
04:01what they wanted and Nico crunches one
04:03and they did they came inside twice
04:05against Nico with the base open knowing
04:08that he does such a good job using the
04:09other side of the field well he used the
04:11pull side pretty well right there they
04:13now trail 3-1 but good spot here for the
04:16Giants two on nobody out Devers against
04:19Colin Ray he hits this one towards right
04:21center field going back on it Tucker
04:23still going back it's over his head and it
04:25bounces over the wall Kisner is going to
04:28go around third and he'll score in the
04:31second with a double is Devers and it's
04:33three to two Cubs Rafi Devers has a home
04:36run and a double in two at bats he's driven
04:39in both Giants runs Cubs lead at three
04:42two but the Giants have put a run on the
04:44board here in the third and they're
04:46looking for more two in scoring position
04:49nobody out Adamas hits a high fly ball
04:51down the right field line Tucker coming
04:53over he will make the catch on the move
04:55tagging at third Ramos Tucker wheels
04:58around and throws home the slide by Ramos
05:00and he's safe and also tagging Devers he
05:03goes from second to third Adamas sacrifice
05:06fly drives in the tying run it's three
05:09to three Smith hits a fly ball left
05:11center field Pete Kerr Armstrong over he
05:14will make the catch Devers is going to
05:16tag he's trying to score the throw is
05:18offline and Devers scores standing and the
05:21Giants go ahead situational hitting has
05:25done a lot of good for the Giants in
05:27this ballgame they've advanced runners and
05:29they've gotten balls in the air to drive
05:31and run Suzuki draws a walk and the Cubs
05:34have loaded the bases with just one
05:36away for cleanup man Justin Turner and
05:38Cubs need a big swing in the bat from
05:40Turner that's for sure see if he can do a
05:42little damage ground ball off the glove
05:44of Winston Hunt glove behind second by
05:46Adamas the second one the relay the first
05:49double play well the Cubs on the year by
05:53percentage and by totals bounce into the
05:56fewest double plays in baseball and they
05:58may have hit into two huge ones here
06:00tonight with the bases loaded just a gut
06:03punch in the top of the fifth the Giants
06:05have runners at first and third chance
06:07with a two-odd threat and Matt Chapman
06:10coming up Devers at third Smith at first
06:13for San Francisco two away here in the
06:15bottom of the fifth game
06:17he beamed him Matt Chapman was standing on
06:36first base and the throw in hit Chapman right on top of the batting helmet
06:40Schmidt with a base hit to left here comes Chapman and the throw
06:47not in time it's now seven to three Giants here in the fifth
06:52Rafi Devers stands in the box now two men on one man out
06:55Devers having a big night high fastball driven into deep left field way back

07:00and Devers launched this one out of here to the opposite field his second home run of the night
07:11he's got five rbis and he scored four times well I mean what's more impressive taking on center field like he did with his first home run of the night or going the opposite way against a left handed pitcher
07:26and Jordan Hicks the lefty is now on the mound and he's facing Matt Chapman Chapman blasts one down the left field line toward the corner it is gone
07:37and that's a milestone home run for Matt Chapman his 200th career home run tried to jam up and he just does not allow it to happen
07:47and that's a spin arm swing and unloads well that's beautiful swing that's what they should get back without a whole lot of negotiation
07:56Reese McGuire the backup catcher who is now the pitcher Ramos who scored twice he hits this one deep to left and gone
08:10the only thing that I'll tell you is it counts yeah apologize for anything
08:16Madomis with his sixties
08:18it's an idea how strong he is a lot of open hitters they rely on the power of the fastball to give up a little extra distance for Ramos
08:26not a problem two down ninth inning comes down to their last chance on the ground on the backhand
