Oyster farmers and environmental activists from central Taiwan's Changhua County are protesting in Taipei against  offshore wind power cables that they say would further damage their dying harvests and the local ecosystem. Formosa III, the wind power developer, says it will negotiate compensation with those affected.

00:30The farmers say the construction of offshore wind farms has already affected harvests and that they cannot afford the direct impact from laying the cables.
00:44They say wind farms in the nearby intertidal zone would muddy the waters, destroying the local ecosystem.
00:51For most of three, the wind power developer in question says it will compensate affected farmers.
