00:00okay so a lot of raiders news here in the last 24 hours first somebody casually leaks that jacoby

00:06myers wants a trade uh this is this happens when the agent jacob puts this out there when he doesn't

00:12get a new deal eventually and by the way credit to jacoby myers for keeping quiet throughout this

00:16whole time i'm guessing this didn't just happen yesterday so he wants a trade the raiders then

00:22sign amari cooper who knows if they sent a message there to myers on that one i don't even know

00:27and then they sign kenny pickett or make a trade for kenny pickett because aiden o'connell their

00:33backup is going to be out for an extended period of time i'm sure the raiders hope they don't have

00:36to go to pickett and if the browns gave up on him can't say that i'm all that optimistic that if

00:41geno smith goes down that pickett would do well boy a lot of raiders news coming down the pipe the last

00:4624 hours yeah i think starting with that pickett move i think it's interesting p carroll wanted a

00:52veteran backup behind geno smith just someone who can keep the team afloat if he gets hurt

00:56i think he originally envisioned o'connell in that role but once he got hurt it became a hey we got

01:01to go get someone to make sure the sixth round rookie cam miller isn't our guy here so i think

01:06getting pickett kind of just taking him for a fifth round pick it's a worthwhile flyer do i think

01:11it's going to work out great by any means if he has to go in for extended action probably not but i

01:16think you can do worse than him as a backup so i don't dislike the move for the raiders and for the

01:21browns they talked a big game about keeping four quarterbacks but that would have been just very

01:25difficult to roster four dudes there especially with picket not having played much in the preseason

01:30so i think the trade makes sense for both sides uh the receiver moves amari cooper they needed some

01:36veteran talent in that receiving core i think they have three rookie draft picks on the roster

01:40at receiver so adding cooper has been around forever seems like a smart move the myers trade

01:45request is very interesting to me i'm a big fan of jacoby myers's game i just think he's a really

01:50solid receiver maybe nothing spectacular but he's the type of guy you can just march out there and

01:56say hey get open and he'll do it so he's the type of guy you want he's the type of safety blanket for

02:02geno smith that you'd love to have out there uh because geno can just look his way if he runs into

02:07trouble and him and brock bowers and then those young guys at receiver you'd look pretty good there

02:13but if jacoby myers gets traded or if they can't agree on a deal and things fall apart there

02:18that'll be an interesting thing to monitor because we've seen in recent years the raiders have been

02:22willing they moved to devante adams mid-season one year when things weren't working out there

02:27i don't think myers's situation is similar to him they seem to be willing to keep him and they think

02:32they might eventually reach a deal but it'll be worth monitoring that because he's clearly their

02:36best and most proven wide receiver and hey a lot of contenders would be interested in him if he

02:41becomes available because he's just that type of plug and play talent that would be an upgrade for

02:46many many receiving cores as a number two guy
