00:00Why is no one talking about these kids who just made India number one in the world?
00:04At the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, IOAA,
00:08in Mumbai, India swept the medals, four golds and one silver, on 21st August.
00:13Nearly 300 students from 64 countries competed,
00:17including 12 nations participating for the very first time.
00:20And yet, it was India's young astronomers who lit up the stage.
00:23Trained under the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education at TIFR,
00:27they create problems in physics, astronomy and data analysis,
00:31some of the toughest challenges in the world for high school students.
00:34In earlier Olympiads, India brought home medals,
00:36but never the top rank of four golds at once.
00:39That's why this achievement is more than medals,
00:41a sign that India's next generation isn't just looking at the stars,
00:45they're soaring toward them.
