00:11months, with both the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives urging ministers to take
00:19action on the issue. Now Sadiq Khan has announced his attempt to curb this problem, posters
00:26which will remind travellers not to play music out loud or to have conversations on speaker
00:32mode have made their debut on the Elizabeth Line and will be rolled out on the DLR Overground
00:41and Underground in coming weeks. New campaign posters will also encourage people to look
00:48up from their phones and to be aware that other passengers travelling on public transport
00:54may be in need of a seat. This all forms part of the Travel Kind campaign, which has previously
01:02included posters calling for vigilance about sexual harassment and urging travellers to
01:09move down inside London's tube carriages to ensure others can get on. The campaign launch
01:17comes just days after the Tories called for passengers to be banned from playing loud music on buses.
01:26The Conservatives are also seeking to ensure railway operators enforce rules preventing passengers
01:34from playing disruptive loud music with on-the-spot fines.
