00:00Lastly, sir, this is an executive order on flag burning.
00:02It charges your attorney general.
00:04Would you listen to this?
00:05This is a very important.
00:06Flag burning.
00:07All over the country, they're burning flags.
00:10All over the world, they burn the American flag.
00:13And as you know, through a very sad court, I guess it was a five to four decision.
00:19They called it freedom of speech.
00:21But there's another reason, which is perhaps much more important.
00:24It's called death.
00:25Because what happens when you burn a flag is the area goes crazy.
00:31If you have hundreds of people, they go crazy.
00:34You could do other things.
00:35You can burn this piece of paper.
00:36You can.
00:37And it's.
00:38But when you burn the American flag, it incites riots at levels that we've never seen before.
00:44People go crazy.
00:46In a way, both ways.
00:48There are some that are going crazy for doing it.
00:50There are others that are angry, angry about them doing it.
00:54Do you want to discuss that?
00:56Sure.
00:56What the executive order does, sir, it charges your Department of Justice with investigating instances of flag burning.
01:03And then where there's evidence of criminal activity, that where prosecution wouldn't fall afoul of the First Amendment and instructs the Department of Justice to prosecute those who are engaged in these instances of flag burning.
01:14And what the penalty is going to be, if you burn a flag, you get one year in jail, no early exits, no nothing.
01:24You get one year in jail.
01:25If you burn a flag, you get.
01:27And what it does is incite to riot.
01:30I hope they use that language, by the way.
01:31Did they?
01:32Yeah, incite to riot.
01:32Incite to riot.
01:33And you burn a flag, you get one year in jail.
01:36You don't get ten years, you don't get one month.
01:39You get one year in jail, and it goes on your record.
01:42And you will see flag burning stopping immediately, just like when I signed the Statute and Monument Act.
01:48Ten years in jail, have you heard any of our beautiful monuments?
01:51Everybody left town.
01:53They were gone.
01:54Never had a problem after that.
01:56It's pretty amazing we stopped it.
01:57But this is something that's, I don't know, in a certain way, it's equally as important.
02:03Some people would say it's more important.
02:05Because the people in this country don't want to see our American flag burned and spit on.
02:11And by people that are, in many cases, paid agitators.
02:16They're paid by the radical left to do it.
02:19You talk to these people, they don't even know, half of them don't even know what they're doing.
02:22They say, I don't know, they gave me money to do this.
02:25I see the same things that you did.
02:28They're bad people.
02:28They're trying to destroy our nation.
02:30That's not working.
02:31Because I think our nation now is the most respected nation anywhere in the world, by far.
02:36You saw that with the European leaders on Friday.
02:40You saw that with NATO, where they agreed to go from 2% no pay to 5% fully paid up, trillions of dollars paid.
02:48Where they respect your president to a level that they jokingly call me the president of Europe.
02:54They call me the president of Europe, which is an honor.
02:56I like Europe and I like those people.
02:58They're good people.
02:59They're great leaders.
03:00And we've never had a case where 7 plus, really, 28, essentially 35, 38 countries were represented here the other day.
03:1038 European countries were, European and other countries were represented.
03:16And it was a great meeting.
03:17But your country is respected again.
03:21I say it all the time.
03:23One year ago, our country was dead.
03:25Everybody said it.
03:26We had a dead country.
03:28We were not going to survive.
03:29Now we have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
03:32So it's an honor to be involved.
03:34And this group has a lot to do with it right behind me.
So, Trump is again pretending that he can write laws from scratch. No need for Congress to write a law and pass it first. It's just what Trump dreams up in that twisted head of his. It's black letter law already: It is legal to burn American flags, whether anyone else likes it or not. Full stop.
