00:00I agree. I agree. I am doing everything I can from the position of the minority in Congress to help bring down costs.
00:10What does not help is a president who wanted to cut your services, wanted to cut programs that would help reduce utility costs,
00:21who's implementing tariffs that makes the costs go through the roof.
00:25We, he ran, and Republicans ran on a platform of lowering your costs.
00:34They've done the opposite. And so we have to hold them accountable.
00:40And that happens at the ballot box, but that also happens with using your voice.
00:46Please write to your two U.S. senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz.
00:52And I know, but let me tell you, I hear frequently from folks, they don't care.
01:03They're not, and they might not. But that doesn't mean we should be silent.
01:08That doesn't mean we should not hold them accountable.
01:11That does not mean we shouldn't be calling them and telling them, stop these tariffs.
01:19They're making my grocery prices go up.
01:22Save Social Security. I need an increase.
01:26I reinstate the subsidies to help lower my utility costs.
01:31These are all things we did last Congress that they have eliminated in terms of trying to help people.
01:40So we need you to use your voice also with the people in the Senate who represent you.
