Live at the WCCO Radio Booth at the Minnesota State Fair, MN Department of Naturdal Resources conservation officer Dustin Roemeling brings his new K9 partner, Cora, to the fair. The officer discusses the program and how the K9 participants train for the position.

00:06Deer River, and all over the place. Yeah, and then about you in the DNR, you were
00:12working forever long for us making, so did you always want to be a CO in the DNR? Yeah, I grew
00:20up on the fishing with my dad, that's all we did, and riding four rollers, so it was always a passion
00:25of mine, and kind of always thought about that, went the traditional route, was a city cop and a
00:31deputy sheriff for 14 years, and then decided to make the switch. Yeah, and then what about canine,
00:38is that another interest you had when you got into law enforcement? Yeah, yeah, I grew up, my dad
00:44raised German short hairs, so I grew up with hunting dogs, and just always loved them, and had the
00:50opportunity when I was a young deputy to take a dog on, and I took that opportunity pretty quick.
